I love how much you love the little things about this game. We often get so involved in the credit earning that we stop… just stopping to enjoy the scenery. This game is awesome.

At 19:35, with all those ships around, it would have been a lot safer to transfer the Roc's gems to local storage instead of to your Max. The Max can be blown up but the mining facility cannot. I'm 4 months late watching these but I have enjoyed the series. Started with Titan then bought Black with a MPUV Cargo w/LTI referral bonus, which is now a standard Freelancer. Upgrading to Spirit C1 very soon now--still with LTI. Still have the Titan.
That`s pretty cool, seems like you can fit 2 ROCs in there, you could have two friends running the ROCs and transferring to the Freelancer while you keep selling and they keep mining. That seems like a fun way to play.
I have a Freelancer DUR, with a smaller cargo hold and ramp door. It can be pretty tough to get a ROC into the DUR, and only a little easier with a Cutlass Black. I've taken to using the tractor beam hand tool. The smaller handheld multi-tool w/ TruHold tractor beam attachment will lift a ROC (haven't tried a ROC-DS yet,) but the larger, MaxLift tractor beam has better power and range. As of 3.32.1, the TruHold will no longer lift 32 SCU crates, though the MaxLift will. You can buy a MaxLift from a refinery supply shop for 19k aUEC. Expensive, but really cool. The ROC engine is very underpowered. (And louder than hell!) In loose sand or snow, it struggles to get up a moderate incline, or over small rocks. I think of it as a mining arm with wheels to reposition it, but It doesn't make a good vehicle to travel around in. I'm hoping that the ROC-DS (with six wheels & four drive wheels) will be a bit better.
I think that the ROC needs to be rebalanced in general. Extraction mode could use some improvements as well as the vehicle clipping through some ships like the Constellation, and many others.
I started playing with the Max & ROC years ago and loved it. Awesome cargo on the Max giving you many options. The 2 combined are a very good option. Today I do ROC mining with my MSR (114SCU cargo) or my C1 (64SCU cargo) just because I love the look of the ships but the Max would do just as well. Happy mining and hope you have a blast buddy.. Excellent video! Yeah, I also upgraded my Cutlass Black to the Freelancer Max a several months ago and don't miss the Cutlass at all - at least for my play style.
@@zirHazeGaming I did try it. I *think* it's better. And doing it isn't terrible if you switch to the 3rd person camera view. Of course, that didn't do anything to solve what seems like some major issues with scanning I encountered when trying a little mining. This game is frustrating AF 😂
I remember hearing a long time ago (like before salvage/repair came in) that they wanted to make it where your ships won't look brand new forever. Where over time as you use the ship and it gets damaged and repaired, over time it would look more worn, like it's been used... So maybe that's what all the damage is from? Cause it looks like it was repaired over with RMC, which sadly doesn't carry over the paint scheme.
Oh interesting! Never heard of this. This ship was brand new though so that’s why I was confused. Like I had just upgraded it from the Cuttlass black 😅 But that’s a cool feature!
When i 1st started playing i bought the Mustang Alpha pledge, and then upgraded to the Aegis Avenger Titan and now im rocking the Cutlass Black. I enjoyed the Avenger titan, cant really say the same for the Mustang
Hi@@zirHazeGaming, mustang is not so limited. When you upgrade it, it can be a very cool fighter and has a lot of inventory for the alpha when using inventory inside cargo hold. Plus, you can carry vehicle parts in the cargo and sell them to centermass!
How did you find the scan? I too got a freelancer max but the scanning is terrible at least in my experience. I dont see those pings that say theres rocks or gems 5km etc away... i just have to fly lower and hope thise symbols pop up when im close by so i dont know if im going the right way etx its a shame

That's why I love doing trade runs. I´m just enjoying the scenery most of the time.
The Freelancer Max and Roc is always been my go to mining set up.... love this pair for this job
The Freelancer is indeed a great pair! Hope the fixed the clipping that was happening with the bottom of the ROC 🙌🏽

Yea, I think the Mustang is very limited to what you can do with it. Cutlass Black is a great ship! Until you expand and need more space 😅

Freelancer Max over Cutlass Black for sure! A lot more cargo space and easier to fit a ROC into it.
