So glad I found this video! My father in law (sadly passed away 2 years ago) planted rhubarb, possibly 20 years ago. My wife and I noticed that the past two years it hasn’t been growing as bountiful, this year being the worst. The one you dug up may be slightly smaller than our biggest 😅 I was going to follow the steps in your video in the hope I can revive it but as it’s now early September should I wait for spring or can I go ahead with it now? Excellent video sir! 💯
Thanks for this video. I'll glad you walked through the process slowly. Your video takes the fright factor out of transplanting my rhubarb which is currently next to the heavy storm cellar door so whenever i open the door, the door crushes my rhubarb.
After watching this video, i'm encouraged that i probably wont kill the plant by transplanting it, and i will probably even end up with pup plants to share with my neighbor.
Hope it goes well and you have bags of rhubarb for puddings! -Sean
What a relief. I was completely surprised to see my rhubarb plant roots and thought I probably killed it when I dug it up. But it's got a couple of buds which I replanted
Hope it gives you plenty more crumble! -Sean
Very informative thank you I may do this next year

"don't worry about this cut wound here, that's not gonna hurt at all..." HTH! -Sean (p.s. he also had a little hiccup 😛 )
