you should not have recorded this, it's intellectual theft and copyright infringement. But I am so happy you did it! :) I saw the show twice a month ago, it still haunts every day. It was life-changing for me. Jon's performance is indescribable. Thank you for posting this!
The UK Phantom doesn't catch Christine anymore when she faints? I always preferred that to the NY version of her falling to the floor and being covered with his cape. I guess with no NY production anymore they are erring toward that staging? Too bad.
yea, from what I see, they don't do that anymore since reopening. Another factor is also because from an interview that I watched, Jon Robyns did say he has back problem
I noticed the final lair is performed now how it was done in NYC. The phantoms used to grab Christine after saying do you end your days with me. I always was amazed how more energetic their final lair was
It must be really hard to maintain intonation on that last note with so many chord changes happening underneath. He doesn't quite make it, but the rest is so good I won't complain.
It's because london cut the orchestra form 27 instuments to 14, leaving the other half to be pre recorded. The pre recorded tracking is super rushed, the actors seem like they are struggling to keep up,
@@kait0w098that’s not actually true. Nothing is prerecorded, it’s just that some of the instruments have been replaced by a keyboard where effects are used to make them sound like the instruments, while many of the other instruments (such as horns) have been omitted. The reason it sounds rushed is because of Jon’s interpretation of the character. You can hear the orchestra rushing to catch up to him. That’s what orchestras are instructed to do on professionally staged musicals.
@@Buskeeeeeeee This exact speed is identical for every Phantom who has played since the reopening, with zero variance at all. You can check the timings, "let your mind start a journey through a strange new world" is always 4.5 seconds between Killian Donelly, Ashley Stillburn, Earl Carpenter, James Gamt, James Hume and Mr Robyns. Additionally, the speed issue is prevalent in many scenes throughout the musicial, and has been consistently for every cast since reopening.
Ah I'm so glad we have this now! Especially since Jon is leaving 🥲
My favorite Phantom and Christine! Thanks for posting!

you had us in the first half, not gonna lie
“Oh no, anyway” moment
You hush your mouth in the first part.... lmfao.. we in usa only get to see this amazing show this way now lol.
Wish they had recorded this incredible cast so we could relive it. It was phenomenal!
Thank you sooo much! My favorite Phantom!
Great voice!
Beautiful video
Never seen a phantom touch just above the groin in “saver each sensation” before
Well you know that means the Phantom is giving a standing ovation. 🤔
Omg how did you manage to film it?!! My favourite phantom.

Why's it sound like they're rushing a few times?

The orchestra needs to slow down music of the night, especially the “let your mind” part. It’s too fast
They can't because now half of the orchestra is pre recorded, which means the pacing is stuck fast
@@kait0w098 cant they slow down the prerecording?
@@FelizNAVIDad293 Nope as far as I know, or they just dont want to
@@kait0w098what a disgrace. Cameron needs to be removed from heading phantom. He’s ruining it
