Honestly, I am shocked at how bad the Google Business service is from a company perspective. One of the most frustrating thing I have seen in a while. Google should be ashamed

I understand they have to have an anti-fraud process, but my experience to get my account restored was ridiculous. Either Google or the 3rd party I used was full of shit. G said I didn't comply with guidelines, but when I paid a 3rd party, I magically started to comply with guidelines despite changing nothing.

It can be very frustrating as Google doesn't make the process easy or clear. But that's where your videos come in. Thanks for this video. I couldn't figure out why google says there was deceptive content on my business profile. It looks like it was due additional words in my business name and also having my office address when we are mostly a home service company.

I change my name to have a keyword in it, the profile immediately got suspended(not surprising), i took the keyword out of appeal and submitted appeal but it got rejected. I submitted another appeal making sure my information was added, still got rejected. Not it won’t even allow me to submit another appeal and there is nothing currently wrong with my account and I made sure of that before the appeals were submitted

I am having a problem where the Appeal (or Reinstatement Request) form does not function. It asks me to confirm my gmail account, then the business profile that was suspended, then the next page states "No Info Found" and only provides an option to Close the tool. I have tried over and over. I have made a post on the Community forums but waiting 2 days now for a reply.

So if you have a home based service business that does see clients at the home office during scheduled hours of operations and go do appointments at prospects home within service area, is it against Google policy to show the address or does it need to be an SAB?
You can use a hybrid listing. Show your address and add service area too.
Hi all, has anyone noticed that on Google when mann searches apartments a new view comes up in the results. Previously, the results came from Google Maps. Now there are completely new results. I have lost all rankings from one day to the next. Can anyone provide info on this? Thank you very much.
Currently, we are facing this nightmare. Our profile has been on Google for nearly 10 years. Last year, we moved our office to a new location. When I requested an update of the Address, we got Suspended. In spite of flling the form, sending Emails with photographs and Govt Documents with the New Address, keep getting the Robotic response that we are in violation of the Guidelines. Why can't they simply point to us the Violation so that we can fix it?
Maybe the powers that be at Google need to respond to suffering customers and fix this issue. Do they listen to the ground reality or are they too high up to even care?
I understand your frustration but are you 100% certain your listing abides by the guidelines? Because if it does there is no reason why Google wouldn't reinstate you.
Same here. I had my business page for 7 years and tried to re instate my suspended account 5 weeks ago. Nothing no email just one asking to verify but that leads nowhere as it goes back to my " disabled" business page. I have now to look for work because I do not get clients contacting me no more.

Amazing work yet again, Luc! Question... I need to remove my address and replace it with service area. But I'm nervous about making the change since I haven't yet had an issue. Will making this change proactively in this way trigger a suspension?
I know displaying an address is against google's guidelines if you are a service area business however, it also seems to help with rankings a lot. If you've always displayed an address on your listing I would suggest you stick with it. Removing it may result in your ranking to crash.

Google has my profile not visible, no idea why, I have not changed anything in years. It was sudden. I have no way to edit or add a verification code. Can't do anything. I am a real estate agent and I do know Google is not designed for us. So I have not been able to make it visible, not knowing what is wrong to begin with, and also they are not responding.

Hi Luc, what if I don't pay the utility bills at the location I am working at? I am renting a room out of a studio that is own by someone who has several rooms that are rented out to other business. Kind of like a bunch of lawyers in the same building.
Is your business officially registered? If so use that.

If I appeal (suspension for sister company)my business registery form will say my main business. Am I better off deleting sister company gmb profile & start again, or appeal. Thanks
Deleting and staring again will only trigger another suspension. Why was it suspended in the first place? Is it a legitimate business? if so there is no reason it should be suspended or you could at least get it reinstated.

Hi. I've been operating in my city for 9+ years now. Yesterday google suspended me. I fixed any errors I thought there night be. BUT I'm not a brick and mortar place. I'm a service business thats changed addresses a few times using home as an office. Now my family and I have been traveling the u.s. for the last 2 years and don't have a physical address and am worried I won't get my listing back. Any advice?

Thank you so much for the video. When I submitted my request for reinstatement, I uploaded my liscense and my utility bill. I was panicked and didn’t read the first part that said (upload a certificate of your business). Do you think they will deny my request because of this? If so, how long will that appeal take?
I am a pressure washing business that had my parents old address on there as the address, I removed the address and told them I’m a service busienss without a location.

so as a web design company dealing with new york to miami to los angeles how should we do coverage map? 2nd question a real estate office or medical or legal office with many professionals doing business at a location....can they use suite# or? TIA
To qualify for a Business Profile on Google, a business must make in-person contact with customers during its stated hours. So if you're a web design company anywhere, people will either need to come to you or you go to them. Whichever case it is you'll need to claim a listing for each location. If you don't make in-person contact with customers, you're not eligible to claim a listing. For your second question I would need more details as it will depend on the scenario. Luc, in a previous video you stated that Keywords in name of the company was acceptable with google reducing the impact. Is this no longer the case? As always thank you for the great information
Hey Jason. I don't recall saying that. The value of keywords in your business name has been diminished. Stuffing your business name with keywords that don't represent your business is still against the guidelines.

hi this is helpful but what if the status of the case no longer even shows??? Suspended account here and we submitted several times an appeal and it's been over 2 months with no answers!!! We moved the business from New York to Utah* but have all the proper docs to show for it.

Hi. My Google business is currently suspended after I changed my address to my new address. Google ask for proof which I sent. They are now saying the email I have sent the form through is not the same as my Google email but it is 😂 they are taking so long to get back to me. Any advice?

Are you definitely positive you have filled in the form using the Gmail account associated with your profile? I found it strange Google would think otherwise. If not I wouls suggest you raise the issue on the Google Business profile help forum. Don't forget to add your case id

This has happened to me on 3 different occasions. 1st occasion was when we uploaded images. There was nothing wrong with the images. No logos. No products info. No sensitive information. Nothing out of the ordinary and nothing different than the previous 2000 images. In any case. I had to delete the listing and start again.
Second suspension was when we added extra service areas to include all of Sydney. Then suspended. Nothing. Had to delete it again and start again. Reminding me of how fragile this was.
Third suspension is now. Changing address to my home address which is listed on ASIC (AUS government agency) as my business address. But, i only did this as we now get people come into the office we have.
We are now, however, in a real situation as i can not get anyone from google to look into this account. Apparently i am black listed. But the listing is still on google. But no longer ranking for anything and they deleted all of my photos for some reason.
I input my new address. They advised that my address will need to be verified. I got the postcard. Input the code. IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION!!!!
I suggest you raise the issue with the google business community support and hopefully one of the experts will escalate your case with Google directly. Make sure you add your case ID when you do.

It's like building a house of cards putting together and building a profile on Google, it can just all fall down for no reason. They treat you like garbage or at least their dumb faceless algorithm does.
We've done it to ourselves to be honest, all relying on one free service and giving them so much power. Else we could say to hell with em and use an alternative, but there is none.

My GBP I was trying to create was suspended before it was ever created. It does not show an ID when I go to my GBP just that it is suspended. What can I do because I cannot create a review without an ID?

I have a window cleaning business and don't have any utility bills because I rent a room. What should I do for my second document? I did just remove the address from my business profile so it shows I have a service area now.

Tried creating a business account for a business I've recently started however after submitting my verification video I then received an email saying my account has been suspended due to guidelines. I've read through the guidelines, tried changing every bit of information to see if anything changes but nothing. When I go to submit an appeal there's nothing to appeal. Can you offer any help on what I can do to get this sorted? ( Trying to get in contact with anyone from Google is impossible you just end up in a circle of forums with no solutions)

We have this on client's account: Profile not visible & can't submit an appeal. Our client (attorney) shares the same office with their husband (business law firm). Google is saying: Your access has been disabled because this profile doesn’t follow the guidelines. Edit your business info, and learn how to regain access. Learn more. We want to submit the paperwork showing she is at that address as well. The appeal process basically shows us the error: No info found. The tool has no moderated content to appeal. Help.
so, how is it now ?
Before I had a problem with my google profile not showing up when you searched it. Google called me about my problem and told me since we are based in multiple states I need to create multiple profiles for each state. But now my other profiles are suspended, but my main profile has AZ, TX, NM in its title and seems to show up in other states. is it worth it to make 2 other profiles or will they just keep getting suspended? We are a serviced based business that has expanded over 3 states, we dont have a business office and dont necessarily see our clients in-person since we meet virtually via zoom meeting etc. so does this mean we are not eligible to claim a profile? but then, why does our main one still work? If it works does this mean we shouldn't create other ones?
To be eligible for a listing you must make in-person contact with the customers. Based on what you are saying you don't, so that's probably why some of your listings have been suspended. Trying to create new ones will likely result in the same outcome. Your main one still works because It might be perceived as being legitimate based on other information google has.

My business profile been up since 2019 why all of a sudden im disabled. Ive been verified. Why disabled. Who do i speak to at google! I have a business license. Why now why all of a sudden! This is messing with my customers
Unfortunately that's what google does. It doesn't matter how long your profile has been up. If google feels it's against the guideline It will suspend it.
Submitted my business last week for a 2nd business location. New location is using a Regus Office. Google initially verified then suspended 3 days later. During that time I made a change to my business name, but changed back after suspension. Can anyone help?
Virtual offices, co-working spaces and UPS boxes are not legitimate addresses to claim a listing, that's why your new location was suspended
My profile has been suspended. The last actions were made two weeks ago (adding services) and about 4 weeks ago (updating information about the profile). Could they be a reason to have a suspended profile today? How quickly and often Google check that information? Or should I pay attention to other things (such as comments/reviews that the profile got recently, a few days ago)?

Try appealing here: support.google.com/business/gethelp Make sure before you do that your listing abide by the guidelines which is why it was suspended in the first place, otherwise it will be declined again.

I’m a chimney sweep and I go to clients. 3 years up and running GMB and now it is disabled. No email whatsoever saying it has been disabled.
How I found out was calls almost completely stopped 2-3 days ago, this is pure evil.

@@rankingacademy Thank you for the response. I haven’t yet, that’s the next step. I just sent an email to them first and probably won’t get a response. The only thing I could find and fixed was my physical address. I removed that and left it blank, but left my service areas, because I don’t have customers coming to my address. The thing that bothers me is there are other chimney sweeps in the area with their physical addresses on it with no customers that come to them either. My next step is trying to reinstate. I was at the top of the list within an hour and half to two hours radius with a perfect 5.0 rating, I feel it’s going to start me over at the bottom of the list again, with so much hard work getting there.
If the reinstatement doesn’t work, what should I do next?

I wrote a re-instatement 4 weeks ago after correcting all that I thought was wrong. I never got an email to acknowledge my action. Instead next time i checked my business page read " disabled" not suspended . I got an email from google to ask me to verify my business if not they would delete my account. I tried to click the link but it did not work because they disabled the page and it kept coming back to " your business page is disabled. I'm heartbroken as no more clients are going to ring me. I've started looking for work now.

Hard to justify a business with no proof. Why can't you register the business at your home address (or any other legitimate address) and put the utility bills under your name?
@@rankingacademy I use a UPS store for my business address...have for many years. I NEVER use my home address for anything. I have my LLC document I can show, however I ALWAYS use my mailing address. I've seen people's full names and home addresses all over the internet. To give my home address...I HATE that they have to have it, but I know that I'm losing business every single day...have for years. My husband will have to put my name on one of the utility bills, however it does not show my business name.. Thank you for responding and the advice you give. Google may think I'm playing games because I use my "show" name instead..and it's an LLC. Any advice on this? I am sooo beside myself on this!
@Purplebutterfly its against google guidelines to use a po box address. Even if that's how you registered the business. If you are a service are businesses its fine to use the address but you must hide it and update the ares you service.
Yes I am in a similar conundrum. I'm trying to run my business from a farm where I live and that my family own. The bills are all in my parents name. Not only that but of course the farm is a business already located at this address in addition to my painting trade that im trying to list. Plus of course theres no company signage here because there's no cause for there to be. Oh and yes the street in our address is at the end of a 500 yard driveway and it has no signs on it, so no use shooting a video for proof. It could be any of these things causing me issues but of course Google can't just throw us a bone and tell us what the bloody problem is. Oh no.
A quick question: How to reinstate the Business Profile which shows this violation? does this comes under the last issue of fishy account association? The violation is:
"A Google Account associated with this Business Profile has been placed under
restriction."
Sounds like it. Double check who has access to your profile and remove anyone who shouldn't including third party app

I never received an email for the disabled GBM from Google, even checked my junk mail. Could it be possible that my GBM got hacked?
In the past months this year I did get some suspicious emails from different people saying they were trying to claim my Google business account. I did follow the directions on how to dismiss them.

I keep getting bounced back, the email keeps saying "Your Business Profile appears to be live and functioning correctly. If you are still experiencing problems, please reply..." but after a few replies, I get a message directing me back to start a new ticket. Been going back and forth for almost two months.

Hi, in the UK as a sole trader you don't register your business/receive some sort of license for most jobs. This business in particular is a service and operates with regular customers. How can it be proven that you own a business and that it exists in this case? Support has been very unhelpful in answering questions like this even after providing URLs to the government pages
What about utility bills? Don't you have any under your business name?
@@rankingacademy Yes, I sent my home utility bill as well as bills for resources used for my job and a bill for my business insurance under the company name, then they stopped asking for a utility bill and continued to ask for a license. I ended up taking a video of my equipment, my van, and my driving license in one cut and this also didn't seem to help
However I think it's actually resolved now after over 20 emails. They ended up calling me and I found out the person reading the emails isn't actually allowed to look at the evidence, and they have to pass it on to another team to look at. (Wouldn't surprise me if it was handled by AI or they just send templates back with little thought) When I told them the sorts of evidence I had sent they seemed surprised and said they'll pass it on, and then they called back within 10 minutes to say it will be resolved in 24 hours. They also told me the reason it was flagged, the algorithm of course. Thank you for the help anyway!
So I followed the instructions. They replied with an email for documents verifying a business address. I sent all the documents and they resent the same email. So puzzled and frustrated....going on 9 months of suspension

When submitting your supporting evidence... What if you're 'doing business as' ... (DBA) -- but NOT incorporated (as an LLC / etc) .. say an artist/performer 'doing business as' ___________ (their stage name), whereas your bills (& paychecks) are all made in your legal/real personal name..?

I have a new business, new website and applied for a GBP. I was immediately suspended. Looked it over and I cant figure out what I have done wrong. I do work a Service Area and did say that. I have an Appliance Repair business. Wish they would tell me whats wrong. I did the reinstatement process. I edited the profile very carefully. I hope its right now. Is it bad to have a short description on the profile?
I also do not have utilities in my business name. But my utilities do match my name and address of the business address

My client has several business profiles suspended at once. They changed all contacts with the same phone numbers before got suspended. I deleted all phone numbers and submit reinstatement request but still declined :(

If your request has been declined it's likely because there is something wrong you haven't picked up on. Are all the listings legit?

When you already have an existing Google Business Profile but take your business to another state (new business name, new address, etc.)...

I have done everything possible, even talked to the Maine secretary of state, and she has informed me that I have done everything necessary that I have needed to do to have my business in Maine. I’ve sent Google photos of signage at my address, receipts with my business name and address on them, a sign with my business name on it at the local little league field that I support, signage on my vehicle, my customer receipts, and a “notarized” copy of my DBA.
This is the response I got from Google today in an email:
“We've looked at your account and it looks like your Business Profile is not eligible to display on Google per our quality guidelines”.
I have looked at their guidelines at least 10-15 times and there is nothing, absolutely no guidelines that I’m breaking.
What do I do now?

The newest email that I got is telling me that I need to contact a specialist. I thought I was actually going to be able to talk to someone on the phone, but I guess not.
In the state of Maine and New Hampshire there is no business licensing for a chimney sweep business, just a DBA and proof of insurance. I believe Google is thinking that since no business license then no GBM. For a chimney sweep business, a DBA is the official business registration.
I’m self employed, sole owner with no employees. I don’t have a physical address that people come to, I go to them. There are other chimney sweep companies in the area that I’ve talked to that that are still on GMB that don’t have a business license, just a DBA, so how are they still on Google?
Hopefully someone contacts me over the phone. I feel like I’m going to have to pay someone to get this fixed.

Did you get an initial email confirming they received your request with a case ID number? If you did you'll need to wait. If you still haven't received a response in a few days raise the issue in the Google Business Profile community support: support.google.com/business/community

Hi Mussa. If your business is legitimate and you abide by the guidelines there are no reasons why you can't have a listing so you must be going wrong somewhere. and nope you can't sue them.

Hi Sue, the fact your business has been set up for a long time makes no difference to google. If they find it doesn't abide by the guidelines they will suspend your listing. What type of business is it?
@@rankingacademy That's obvious. When I filled out the form they declined it and gave me a link to click on as the reason why and it said "must be available to engage customers during published open hours" which I am. So that makes ZERO sense why they took it down!
Its a regular brick and mortar biz that get walk inns. I found a place online that only charges $400 and I don't have to pay them until my biz is back up on google locations. I l will post the results. Thank you for your response!
@@suetaylor1127 you're playing into their game, google is making money off you paying to get the [age situated. Whoever you're paying, makes money and so does google. This is done intentionally for this purpose.
Our business Google account was suspended, but we never received an email at all. We just found out by all of sudden declined phone calls and leads.

My account is suspended. Google is asking to remove managers in order to reinstate account but I can only do it when the account is active. How can I fix it?
Have you replied to the email to let them know you can't do that unless you're able to access the account?
@@rankingacademy All they tell me is that I need to delete the managers in order to reinstate the account but obviously I cant. I cant only do it with an active account. There is a option to talk to a Google ambassador but its all the same.
Why doesn't google just tell us why it's been suspended?
