Chainsaw spark plug - Troubleshooting and replacing how to

- Crucial to the saw, cheap to replace but often forgotten.
I'll be showing you how to replace it on a STIHL ms261c and tell you what it means if the spark plug is dark, black or white in color or why it's wet.
If you want your chainsaw to keep on running well you should replace this inexpensive part regularly.
“...treat your baby right”
That’s how I feel about my chainsaws, too 🥰
You add ALOT to the saw community, thank you! Luv your videos.
Another excellent video about a frequently overlooked maintenance item! 👍
Thank you for starting your chainsaw one of the proper ways. There are way too many videos on RUclips where people drop start them which can be very dangrious.
I wouldn’t dream of showing dangerous methods
Saw maintenance = Good idea.
Great idea 🧡
Great information. I lay myself to sleep with a much deeper and useful knowledge of chainsaw health. Thanks. :)
You’re welcome
Hello from Canada! Another great video and yes spark plugs are often overlooked. Looked like a nice day there. Enjoyed the video as always. Take care
We’ve been very lucky with the weather lately :)
Glad you enjoyed the video
Your videos are fantastic ma'am. Thank you for all your effort and time.
That's awesome that you're into tree work I did it for years it's not very often you see a woman in that field 😊
Aaaaaaaaa ya you always give us a spark … with that beautiful smile.
Had to wait for the blooper before commenting 😂😂😂. Enjoy all your videos. The spark plug gap thingy is a feeler gauge 🤣🤣. You take care and have a blessed week and see you on your next video 💜💜
Everything is a thingy 😂😂
@@Femalelumberjack You're right about that
A good practice, if available, is to blow air around the spark plug before extracting it. Don’t want any of the crap getting into the cylinder and crank case.
I had the same problem with my MS 440. It started badly and didn't run well. A new spark plug and it started again immediately. Please make a video about your MS 661. Have a nice week and greetings from Germany.👍👍😀
I will I will 😊
Please please👏. I have an MS 660 and I love the thing😍😘, power without end😂😂. I think I also need an MS 881😀😀...
Great video by the way.
I first thought I was watching these videos because they feature a "female" lumberjack. But after each one, I come away with a new lesson learned.
I'm so glad you find my content useful
@@Femalelumberjack For example, I'm probably going to change a sparkplug on the chainsaw soon.
You are the best. Thank you for the videos
Thank you
Thanks for making another informative video. I enjoyed it. If it wouldn't be to much trouble if your already videoing a tree you are going to climb. I would like to see how you access a tree for climbing such as looking for hazards, and maybe how you come up with a general plan for breaking down the tree. Kinda seeing how you view a tree as an experienced professional would be awsome.
Your right on again ! New plug is really cheap insurance . Take it out inspect it , any guestion , replace it . Give Timber a pat for me .
I enjoyed your video
Thanks for sharing. This is very informative.
You're welcome
Nice tutorial
Great information. Thanks for the video 😊👍👍👍
You’re welcome
Great video and good information again thanks for sharing.
Good one. Useful. Outtakes made me chuckle. :>
Thank you
I finally just put my saw setting back to summer. Until you showed it I never took it off summer to winter never new
Glad I could teach you something new 😊
excellent video but I have a little advice for you, before unscrewing a spark plug, you should blow compressed air around it to avoid introducing dirt into the cylinder
Sehr gut erklärt, freue mich schon auf weitere Videos! 🙏🍀💪👍🔥
dankeschön

Hello what fuel and oil pourcentage mix you generaly used in your chainsaw ? Thank for rep i like your chain and style Life
Nice I'll get a fresh plug for my 261 c ngk
Great vid as always, have you ever considered getting your saws ported? I have a new 261 as well and I'm saving up for a 500I as my big saw. I am considering porting the 261, what are your thoughts?
Can you educate the simple and young Arborists about tree assessment for the beginning of Arboriculture? 🙏❤️
What fuel oil mix do you use, and what type of oil, just curious.
Hi how r u thanks for the info great video
its called a feeler gauge to measure gap
Hello Felixia,
As always great content, keep up the great work! Just wondering about your swag “chainsawholic/Treeple gear”, is this your stuff? If so where can I get some, would love to encourage your channel etc. Cheers.
I am still running the original plugs in my saws the oldest being a pair of 044's, Are they due for new plugs after 20yrs?
Thank you,you are also beautiful
Where did you get the Stihl gas/oil can? I had to order a Husqvarna one from overseas, Its good quality but I want a Stihl quality one!
They’re in all the STIHL shops here
@@Femalelumberjack I recall seeing different versions on other channels a few years ago and when I searched for them here in the US there is some sale restrictions. I feel like a traitor having a Husq can when I have all Stihl saws! They make packing for 200+ mile trips a lot easier!!
При правильном соотношение масла и бензина эти свечи можно не выкручивать годами.
Its called a feeler gauge
Thanks
👏👏👏
If the electrode on the plug is white then there isn't enough oil in the mix. Get a toothbrush style set of wire brushes to clean the carbonated shite off the electrode.
Honestly quit watching after the “ thingy” comment
I reckon a video of your work / climbing would b cool ifsorts of wrong lol
what that translates to was Id like to see a video of your typical days work, climbing ect not hedge trimming we know how much u love that lol
🙂☕👍
😊
Where can I get that hat?
♥️
wow @ air filter
whats with the "video from the side of your head"?
Bosh plugs are no good, start using NGK and keep your mix around 45:1.
Thingy....
6:30. 25 nm 😂
A Champion spark plug...oh good night...😬 there terrible ...alway alway use a NGK or Bosch....unfortunately Bosch are not made in Germany any more...or Brazil....China...we will see if their any good any more...use a NGK...not a cheesy Champion they haven't made a decent plug in years....Shoe

😊
First!
hell yeah!!
@@Femalelumberjack i love your vids!!!!!!!!!!
