    I have a 2.3L High Performance Package Mustang. I went with the Roush closed lid cold air intake, MAP Street Intercooler, and the COBB Access V3 for the tuner. The Roush Cold Air Intake works very well with the MAP Street Intercooler, I have seen temperature difference as low as 2 degrees from Ambient to intake air temperature with this combination. I average 4 to 5 degree temperature difference between ambient air temperature and intake air temperature while cruising. In stop and go traffic it will average 9 to 11 degrees temperature difference ambient air temperature vs intake air temperature.

    If you're going to get an ecoboost, I suggest the propack one. It's the only four bangers that Ford will. protune. and its under warranty. They give a standard 350 horsepower with 400 26 pound feet of torque. If you've got a 355 rear end simple Twelve hundred bucks.

    Well, to be honest, you can get away with almost everything on this list, but I’d avoid the tune and anything that requires a tune.

    • @layzee1496
      @layzee1496 2 года назад +2

      i know it will vary depending on the dealer, but i have the warranty and it just seems like its not worth it. Any issues that come up the dealer always finds a way to say its not included in the warranty. They want to charge you in anyway they can. They also keep my car in the shop for like 1 month and dont return any calls i give. Imo instead of spending the money on the warranty, id just keep a little aside in case anything goes wrong and take it to a real shop. dealer is a rip off.
      TLDR: Fuck the warranty, tune your eco! its hella worth it

    • @jim1160
      @jim1160 2 года назад +1

      @@layzee1496 I appreciate your reply alot. I do share your experience with Ford, these idiots tried to charge me 150 dollars for a diagnostic after i told them 3 times that my warranty was intact. Thankfully, theres multiple Ford dealers where i live so i was able to get that issue sorted out for free. It was covered by my warranty, i have no clue how much it wouldve been if i hadnt had the warranty. But after that. i havent had any issues and so im leaning towards following your advice. i might just go all the way and void it instead of waiting. I want to enjoy my car, not be stuck because of some arbitrary thing i cant even guarantee will be honored.It has its specific uses but you only live once right?

    • @daily_driven

      Love the Cobb tuner! The accessport is $550ish new and you can run the Cobb stage tunes but pro tune is extra of course.

    • @lynex83
      @lynex83 2 года назад

      Super simple to install, takes maybe 20-30 minutes and that's mainly it saving your stock tune for when/if you unmarry it from the car and applying their tune or a protune base file. The 10R80 gets a party trick as well with the COBB, a Transbrake. Haven't done much research into it yet, but it will wear out the transmission so I'd suggest against using it until you do your homework.

    • @lynex83

    • @daily_driven
      @daily_driven  2 года назад +1

      No downpipe at this time. I’m on the fence because after talking with PD tuning they said a downpipe doesn’t offer much of a performance gain over the factory unit running the stock turbo. If I went nx2 then I would for sure do a 3” downpipe

    • @sandon32167
      @sandon32167 2 года назад

      Good to know. I want to get a pro-tune next. I’m on the fence about the downpipe and was interested to see what performance gains are.

    • @RAMONSANTAANA
      @RAMONSANTAANA 2 года назад

      I installed a CVFAB Street intercooler, MBRP catback exhaust, COBB Accessport using stage-3/91 octane OTS tune and a 1320 3" 200 cell catted downpipe (sounds great with MBRP exhaust). It lasted 10 months before I started getting catalytic efficiency code. I needed to renew my tags and pass smog. The 1320 downpipe wouldn't pass smog so I reinstalled OEM downpipe... she passed with flying colors. She runs great!
      I will keep the OEM downpipe for now.

    • @diecast118scale7

      More than one modded ecoboost Mustang has embarrassed a stock GT 5.0 and the nice thing is even with the mods the ecoboost still cost less than the GT 5.0. I won't even go into insurance which is cheaper for the ecoboost Mustang. I would be remiss if I did not mention the test where the stock GT 5.0 lapped Virginia International Raceway a second slower than did the stock Ecoboost Mustang.
      Sure the 5.0 sounds great just like all V8's but is it really as much fun as the ecoboost when you factor in how much more the GT 5.0 costs. There is a satisfaction in taking the ecoboost and making it preform like a GT for less money. I think the real issue is the GT 5.0 crowd feels threatened by the 4 cylinder ecoboost Mustangs.

    • @CLIPZZ345
      @CLIPZZ345 2 года назад +1

      @@diecast118scale7 Sure thats great and all but at the heart of it, the main issue is what companies are doing to iconic car names. The mustang is only 1 such example, when you say the word mustang I don’t think about some V6 or an electric SUV. I think of a coupe with a big V8 regardless if it makes 100 or 800HP. It’s taken an iconic car and made it something generic. If you want to make a budget friendly coupe, great but name it something else instead.
