Just in the past few days there was a story in the Houston Chronicle about a guy that lost $130,000 to these scammers. It is an incredibly sad and frustrating story.

I am an Indian who was scammed by Indian scammers who took every bit of money that our family had saved over the years by tricking my dad, we feel the effects to this day but watching all this happen warms my heart. Thank you for doing this.
Bro I live in Saudi Arabia and you have no idea how many scam calls I get from Indians. They pretend to be from the bank and ask for personal information. I have blocked so many numbers. Unfortunately my uncle fell for this trick and lost over $15,000

@@AARISH_6 yeah there are lot of scammers especially in tier1, tier2 cities of north central india. They prey on innocent victims and once they realize they cannot trick victims, then they trash talk and cuss at them. They used to call me everyday with different numbers but i was patient enough to just hang up. once they realised that, they still used to call me just to trigger me and ruin my day. Unlike in west, where compines value Presonal information, here in india when we buy a product or service and register our number with service/product provider like car dealer. The middle men employees illeaglly have deals with scammers and share customers numbers.

Ever since then which was 2009 Ive educated and keep education myself on the latest scams. I try my best to teach others as well. Thank you for all you do!!

I’m sure the government doesn’t mind all that stolen foreign currency circulating into their economy. That’s why they put such minimal effort into cracking down operations. Also from a nonwhite American perspective, most of these scammers target elderly Americans and it’s starting to create a very negative stigma and stereotype of Indians (obviously not all Indians are scammers). Sometimes elderly with dementia get tricked into sending money, which boils my guts..

Once, during lockdowns, when they lifted, I went to Goa, and EVERY day at the coffee shop, there was a guy (not from India), sitting there doing romance scams (I saw his "love letters" one day, while waiting for my coffee and turned and saw a glimpse of his computer screen)

In my younger years before the computer world , Scammers used the phone system to steal from the elderly.
There were many public service ads and education in schools about these guys. Now we have computers and our Governments do less to help the people. That’s why you are all the good news and work that you all do.

I got scammed for over £30000 recently in the UK, i appointed a company to retrieve my money but they faled me miserably, even the online bank didnt take any responsibility so i lost the lot. You are doing a great job so keep it going.
