Well....hopefully they survive this change.
Aaron as Thomas, Edward, and Gordon
@theamazinggamer111 as Percy and Toby
@LittleOwl2003 as James and Duck
@thomaslawrence2375 as Henry and Emily
@stitchunderground626 as Sir Topham Hatt, Bob, and Diesel

A big thanks to @theamazinggamer111 for co-writing this with me!

It was to fun to VA and co-write for this one! It feels like a major project with the lads! Everyone did such a bang-up job with everything here! 🎉 Nice work to all!!!
Hey amazing gamer
“Duck is no longer part of our cast!”
Considering the whole theory of Thomas and Duck loathing each other, this line and the scene of Duck after had me lol’ing.😂
I mean he was already regulated to being a support character since season 4-5.
That theory was disproven by the Thomas’s Anthem song and the Random House books.
The theory isn’t true.
You can thank the Unlucky Tug for that
@@samsea0489 agreed. I like him, but still.
Gordon and James were the two most consistent in-character members in the Hit Era.
I saw the retrospective on The Unlucky Tug and he said that they got better treatment
Gordon especially.
also duncan.
6:37 "Thomas had no idea how right he was. The fans were going to be cross."
Aww, poor Duck.
And the Hit Era only lasted 5 seasons, not 8.
Technically, it did. If you count Seasons 13 - 16.
Personally I think Duck dodged a bullet.
@@davinsmith7543actually, ur not wrong. If he had been added, he’d probably be a stereotypical personality or something different. And I don’t think he’s the only one removed from this era.
@@PurpleGuy661 and the same with Boco too.

You know, in a way, this actually feels accurate to what went down in the HiT era. The thing that blows my mind is that while everyone else has a meltdown over how their lives are gonna change in the next eight years, Gordon and James just blow it off as if nothing happened to them. And of course they’re gonna throw Duck into a little something that I like to call “The Realm of Irelevantcy.”
Duck had become irrelevant since like season 4 or 5. He didn't have any leading roles, he was always handled as a support character. Hell season 6 help drive that point farrier.
I think the reason why James is smiling in the thumbnail is because he’s now vain and boastful about how the HiT era nailed his character.
I think this is pretty accurate. I feel like this would be how the engines will feel for the rest of the TV series. Which unfortunately, includes the Brenner era.
Though the Brenner era did fixed them a bit back to their true characters mostly.
@DavidBContentExtravaganza3967 It wasn't the same though. I honestly prefer the Brenner Era over HIT. I refuse to watch HIT Era episodes.
What about a video of the engines reacting to all the eras? The Classic Era, The Hit Era, The Nitrogen/Miller Era, The Brenner Era, The BWBA (BWUBA) Era, and The AEG (Age) Era.
At least Michael Angelis as the Narrator in this season is pretty good.

I had so much fun doing this and this was such a fun watch well done Aaron 😁👏🎉
So spot on! Just what I felt when I watched season 8 for the first time! Everything started to be the same, every story was so childish, the intro was changed and worst of all, the sad Thomas face from "Paintpots and Queens" was utterly overused!
this is so accurate to what season 8 ,maybe if you can do it do another one of this but this time how do the engines feel about Andrew Brenner writing season 17 to 21 but either way I can’t wait for things like this again
TBH, Season 8 wasn't that bad for Me, I found it okay in My opinion and it was Nostalgic along with Seasons 9-12, But nice one on this hilarious video Aaron!
Lol! thx for having me here!…….ps I don’t mind season 8 that much. 🙂
I wonder how they will react to season 11's yellow filter and season 12's CGI faces, I also wonder how Thomas will react to season 10's Thomas' Frosty Friend, he'd probably say something like "I seriously can't be THAT stupid"
And the worst part is that they didn't put HIT era on Prime
Wdym from what I saw they only put the good seasons like 1-7 and 17-21
This is so funny!! If you need an Emily VA, I'm more then happy to help XD

You should do the Skarloey engines reactions to the HiT era as well.
I know sir handel and duncan won’t mind it.

I like how the fat controller is smiling while the engines are outraged.😂
If we fans can have our own opinions of the show, so can the engines (I know the Culdee Fell Engines may not be happy of not having more appearances in the remaining franchise after their only spotlight book. Can imagine how much people hardly know them, even those who hadn't read or heard of the RWS). I had done an episode about Duck's reaction to not being in the HiT era in GSE.
In my headcanon, just like the Awdrys, even the original TV Series crew (Britt Allcroft, David Mitton and Phil Fehrle) would come to the Island of Sodor to see the engines and they would each tell them about the other adventures that weren't featured in the Railway Series books or Annuals (most notably the events from 1966 and the early/mid 70s), and they would take accurate notes to ensure they stay that way (even if S6 and 7 had a few stories that were only made for TV). It was only S8 onwards where the new HiT and later Mattel executives and writers only took notes from the Sodor Archives that are nearly the same events as they were from before, but took creative liberties to some stories for better or for worse.
5:00 I wish sir Topham Hatt wants to paint a picture!
Would be interesting to see the Narrow gauge engines reactions 😂
How do "none Awrdy charcter's" feel about being in the show?
You know what I'm curious about? How fictional locomotives from different films, TV shows, franchises and universes feel about the eras of Thomas. These fictional locomotives include The Little Engine That Could, Linus, Samson, Casey Jr, Big Tim, Engine No. 9, etc.
I Love Season 8 Of Thomas And Friends
I’ve definitely had this theory ever since S12. I like to think Seasons 1-5 are basically the books and because of their success with the books, Magic Railroad, S6-7, and S8-12 are basically a show within a show. Sodor is like a real place and that it’s a show within a show. Like HiT or Mattel exists on the island and they have a video crew and direction over the engines and how they want to make the show. Hence why the engines make stupid mistakes or are out of character. Secretly, the engines don’t like the direction but are committed to the direction and their work and eventually when HiT does something right, it’s a joy to them. Oh, and Season 12, especially, they film the engines but use the ugly CGI faces to cover their real faces. That’s just a little fun theory I like to imagine. Feel free to agree or disagree with this. But this video is accurate with the HiT direction and kinda correlates with my theory.
S6-7 didn’t change too many things. They still feel like classic Thomas in more ways then they don’t.
@@joshuaW5621 yeah you could make an argument that the S6-7 could part of the books because still retained some stuff and S8-12 is where everything changed and Thomas as we know it became corporate.
And by theory, you mean head-canon, right?

When James said oh no no no no no no no no no it sounded like a motorbike engine 😂😂😂
At least Duck came back anyway
Duck just sitting depressed in fog gave me a hearty laugh
I still have a soft spot for season 8 - 12
If they think this is bad, how will they think about seasons 22 and beyond?
At least seasons 17-21 brought some life back into the show.
I’m sure Edward and Henry will at least appreciate that their characters weren’t assassinated, and they definitely wouldn’t be as mad about not being main characters as a lot of fans are.
So true though and Yet Gordon and James are fine😅
Confirmed: Duck hates democracy
Join the club, we've got jackets.
Pls make a one with the narrow gauge engines where they react how they’re treated in the episodes
This took place around 2003
Ooooooh! I love this. Just got an idea, What if you did something like this for every season? or at the very least all of the classic seasons.
With All Engies Go being mainstream Thomas from here on out, I say that the Engines knew the worst was upon them 💀😞
But an 8th season of the Classic Original Series was never greenlit in early 2004 with the Director David Mitton Retirering Mike & Juniors Music Replacing with new Orchastra Composers Britt Alcroftt leaving with a new Female Prodcuer & finaly moved on to becoming a new 2004 to the Present Half Model Half CGI & Animated Reboot Hit Series Thomas & Friends Adventure Series Different to the Classic Orginal Series Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends 1984 to 2003 Series 1 to 7.
That was good and I laughed! I love how you got Thomas hating Duck. If I was a showrunner for a revived series of Thomas, I could see my conversation with Thomas like this.
Thomas: I'm still happy Duck is not in the revived series.
Me: Actually Thomas, Duck is in the first season of the revived series.
Thomas: Gasped, NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! You Monster! Why would you Do This?!
Me: Well, he is a fan favorite character, and he deserves to be in it.
Thomas: I sill hate him, and I don't want him to be in it!
Duck: Excuse me?!
Me: Oh No!
Duck: Some engine is going to get the Great Western beating.
Me too. I would be a showrunner for a revived series of Thomas as well.
Sorry to burst your bubble but Thomas and Duck are canonically friends.
Maybe Thomas should have been a TV-Y7 rated show
Honestly I don't think hit really gets it, I mean true Thomas the train is a kids show but adults can enjoy it too(most of the time). aside from kids shows like Caillou, Dora the explorer, Barney, Peppa pig, Sesame street, Teletubbies, teen titans go, etc; that are for just kids which adults hate and find annoying, there are kids shows besides Thomas, like Bluey, Veggietales, Spongebob squarepants, My little pony, The loud house, The amazing world of gumball, Adventure time, etc; that they love and enjoy watching, and that kids can enjoy more adult oriented shows
Tank engine.
I Love You Comedy’s Aaron Keep Up The Good Work
And that's how Season 8 from the HIT era was transpired to be as a childish show. I had to admit that Season 8 might be okay, but as for classic Thomas's fans, They'll be dismissive and ruthless towards the children's show because they thought it would be preferred classic Thomas's show better than HiT Era. But I don't think that Season 8 was bad; they'll be okay in the season, in my opinion. For instance, Season 8 means that learning segments and music videos could be aimed at young children. Learning segments could help young children understand what engines look like, jobs, exploring, which tracks were correct, and more. Duck didn't appear in Season 8 and forgotten characters like Thumper, Boco, Bulgy, George, Donald and Douglas, Daisy and Bill, and Ben. The characters of Season 8 were truly portrayed, Like Thomas becoming immature and a jerk, Percy still forgetfulness like in previous seasons, and James...well, I couldn't tell that. Emily was a being Lucy, and Toby was an elder like Edward but a little coward. Gordon was okay this season, and Diesel was no problem this season; he was still deviously and bullied. And Henry is shy but has forgotten how to pull the express?! Seriously, this character's plot has truly messed up and made no sense without any coincidence at all. Again, I had to admit that Season 8 was okay in this era, but there are some issues in this series that any fans could point out.
I’m sorry but l have to disagree with you in terms of the characters.
Thomas most of the time is portrayed an idiot which wasn’t his character in the classic series. He shouldn’t even be immature considering the character growth he had from S3-maybe S7
Percy is potrayed as the baby of the steam team and has lost his character development as well along with his confidence.
I’m neutral on how Emily’s portrayed.
Toby is not a coward. He was never like this in the classic series. This literally character change. Toby was depicted as a wise, old, helpful, confident experienced tram engine who did what work was given to him. Also his key trait was he would always wait and laugh at arrogant jerk characters who received their karma whereas Edward had to knock sense into them.
Diesel became a generic school bully and became a permanent member who didn’t deserve to be on Sodor. Diesel was better as tertiary character when he appeared in episodes where he and Duck were rivals. Diesel from S2 was a conniving, crafty, arrogant manipulator. Putting him in a prominent role was a bad idea.
@@samsea0489 Well that makes sense
What does it mean to be a "Lucy"?
@@lucario2569 Emily’s Hit Era persona was inspired by a character called Lucy Van Pelt from the Peanuts
I know this is comedy, but this season 8 hate is beating a dead horse.
One Thing I hated from season 8 to 16 was that I always saw The same characters over and over again other characters deserved to appear more like Donald and Douglas, Boco, Murdoch, Arthur and more others
this will make duck happy that he is not in the hit era
It could be worse; they would’ve removed the fact that Duck and Oliver are Great Western (and change their accents to sounds like cowboys). Or worse, they would’ve forgot that Donald and Douglas are Scottish and make them mischievous engines like Bill & Ben.
Gordon and James are happy but everyone else are not
I'll agree with you, Thomas, they got rid of Duck along with Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Daisy, BoCo, Bulgy, George, Bulstrode, Caroline, Stepney, D261, etc. If Britt Allcroft was back at Thomas that time, everything would be much better than this Season 8-12 crap, 24/7, they should introduced some characters in RWS such as Wilbert (My fav RWS character), Ivo Hugh, Pip, Emma, Culdee Fell Railway Engines, Bear, 199, etc.
What about 16?
Could he have potential too?
@@pikachuthebananasplit9061 well yeah, he would be a given a second chance or so?
Don’t know if Britt would have gone with adding more RWS characters if season 5 and Magic Railroad are anything to go by.
Season 8 was okay in my opinion
Same.
In my opinion, the Hit era wasn't bad, but I didn't like how Edward, Emily, the Skarloey Railway Engines, etc. acted. A friend of mine told me that some of the music is pretty catchy.
These engines acting like teenagers
What about the PBS airings?
I wanted to say “Engines can’t date women” but realized this is trying to be satire as both Gordon & James tend to show off their capablities. Duck and Oliver did return in Season 12 for some time, and later in the Brenner era.

Funny vid I won’t lie though I kinda like Edward’s season 8 portrayal it’s definitely better than all the seasons coming after before the CGI era.
I have said this like a hundred times, but I stand by my opinion that Seasons 8-24 take place in their own canon, separate from Seasons 1-7. And the biggest for that: is the Steam Team. 😤
Except the Brenner era did references the classic series a few times so take place after it with no separation. I'm surprised you forgotten that.
