Well done Jason, we loved this one and it was actually our first 4/4 rating! Sure, it gets beat up for coloring, but you cannot deny the complexity and character of this whisky and the fact that they could balance all those maturations so wonderfully! Enjoyed your review of it, keep up the solid work! ~Mark
Thank you for the support Mark, I agree with you as I know the colouring is a sensitive topic in the whisky world but the flavours are married so well together that its undeniably good. Slainte!
Great review Jason. I quickly checked your score for the other Dalmore expressions that you reviewed the past few days - so this is the best one 👌😊🥃 cheers!
Its one I really enjoyed and if only I could send samples across the pond for you to try. If you haven't got it before I travel over I'll make sure to bring you some buddy! Thank you for watching!
Poor Mr Bananas 😂 I think he had enough for today... Another great one Jason. My kid loves the story of King Alexander III... when I think about it he loves the angels share story also:) hmmm...I guess 60% of my bedtime stories revolve around whisky... I have the feeling he will be a malt geek by the end of 1st grade! Slainte!
The Dalmore KA3 is my favorite among its core expressions. I won’t say the price is high for this bottle as I purchased mine for less than U$180 from retail.
King Alexander III hands down is one I would choose out of the three, but if you do like whiskies which are very well sherried then also check out GlenDronach. thank you very much for watching!
For a more (or strong) waxy note would you recommend Dalmore or Clynelish 14 or any other? Great vid. I had to take another look at this one. We have it here in Hawaii for around $270 ar our Total Wine. Is that worth it?
More waxy I currently would also go to the Clynelish or a Deanston 12. However at that price in Hawaii I think its too much even for what it delivers as there are many more whiskies out there. Thanks for watching mastermattk
Personally, I do enjoy the history written on the box. Don’t really need the tasting notes part because I like to see what you find. Hope this helps. Cheers.
Personally I prefer the Cigar Malt, but even still I hate that they chill filter and colour their whisky... and of course the price range. I’d by more if they were slightly cheaper.
Its one of the things I also feel as their house style is really nice and the price phases me out of some of the expressions. But when they are on offer I'd happy to pick them up.
I generally find that supposed history/provenance on the container uses more than a little poetic license (i.e., marketing BS). 😏 Appreciate you researching that.
A 91... the KING is a 97+ The ABV is perfectly crafted so you don't have to add any water! For the complexity, the nose ... it's probably one of the greatest drams out here! I've had 2 bottles of the Bunnahabhain 18yr... wonderful delicious dram... not Touching The King! & Bunnahabhain is bottled at 46% ABV & the King taste just as hotter. What Dalmore achieved no other distillery cannot! 97 or better out of 100 for me. Put The King up against you higher rated Whiskeys & see if it matches up 😎

That‘s a really cool review, Jason, very detailed and balanced. I am not too much into Dalmore and enjoyed watching this.
Thank you for watching Pierre.
I tried this for the first time last month at The Hideout in Bath. Oh my word!!! What a dram. Absolutely loved it!
Its stunning like that, thank you for watching Andrew!
Great review Jason! Great name as well. Found your channel a week ago. Been watching all your reviews to catch up. Awesome insight on your part.

Sounds like the one I would need to save up for. Thanks for reviewing the range.
It's great, You're welcome, I'll be taking suggestions for future ranges to feature on the channel.
JasonWhiskyWise make it hurt - walk through Laphroig!
It's one i'm just sitting and ordering a few tonight so looking forward to it.
Great review Jason. I quickly checked your score for the other Dalmore expressions that you reviewed the past few days - so this is the best one 👌😊🥃 cheers!
Thank you Gustav for watching, its one I'd recommend as its unique.
This one is very high on my must-try whisky list! Nice review :)
Thanks for watching and I'd recommend it as its great and rather complex and I'm sure you'll like the history behind this bottle.
I have fallen in love with this one! Is it similar to any of the Japanese whiskeys in your opinion?
Carmel Colouring yet still want to open my bottle. Must be this great Review!
Awesome review Jason. Most Dalmore sucks to me ....but I hear this one is amazing! 91 .....wow....caramel frappe....sounds like I need to save up!

They will be Master Distillers in the next couple years, Slainte and thank you for watching!

That's a great deal Daniel, If I can find it under £120 I'd happily buy more. Thanks for watching, Cheers!
Even 120 Lbs is beyond my cutoff... I will have to enjoy this vicariously or someone will have to buy me a dram. Slaint Mhath!
Hopefully you get a chance to try it at an upcoming show, thanks for watching FQ!
If you had to pick one no matter the price which would it be. Between the king, 18 and figar, which would you choose. Great vid.

Love yr review : but no "wine'sky" for me - W&McK also puts out JURA 7 wood ! !

Thanks for another review!
A 91, eh?
I think I will have to try this dram.
Its really good stuff and at 40% makes it too easy drinking.
That looks like a glass I need in my collection
Its one I really enjoyed, thanks for watching Mike!
Where can i purchase that glass cheers

Thank for the info Bronco and for watching.
I think the Helicopter was wanting to try the Dalmore!!..........
Great review, Jason! Would love this at 46%ABV, Cheers
I agree as trying a version of this at 46% or above would be so insane.
46% or higher would make this one of the best malts of all time😁
Personally I prefer the Cigar Malt, but even still I hate that they chill filter and colour their whisky... and of course the price range. I’d by more if they were slightly cheaper.

The proof was most disappointing for me, would love a 43 or 46 perhaps, but great dram overall

Thanks H. Hemphill, It makes a good story to go along with the whisky.
JasonWhiskyWise Nice to have some fact checking on what the label says. 👍
Mr. bananas didn't listen to quig and stay hydrated...lol.....put him to bed. 😀👍🥃
Mr.Banana's is a fan of Foodquig but he doesn't like taking break in between shoots. I'll do that after today videos.
Just bought this bottle for €95
That's a very good price, let me know what you think of it, Cheers!
