    Thank you for another great review! The ancestor in question was actually named Colin Fitzgerald - the first chieftain of the Clan Mackenzie.

    Hi greetings from Bulgaria.I have very specific question.I've boughed recently this whisky.I've never tasted before.I have tasted 12 years Dalmore and i liked it so i decied to go for higher class.I've opened it and pour some an immediately my nose felt a scent of raw alchohol.When i drink I couldn't taste it the flavours you mentioned.Also the logo feels plastic to me not metal.Is realy the logo and the labels are full metal?I'm very disapointed and i think the whisky a bought is fake unfortunately i can't return it because in our country there is no such policy.

    Yes we do know who saved the King. Colin of Kintail, Chief of the Clan Mackenzie, saved King Alexander III from the fury of a charging stag.

    I have this one. I think it's good whisky but I don't think it's $200 US good. At 40%abv it feels a little commercial. Beautiful packaging and a really nice story. This is a good one to share on special occasions with friends that don't often drink upper mid priced whisky. For the money there are better whiskies available.

      Mark Price can you suggest better whiskies

    • @markprice1614

      @@nishitdevelopers4144 Glenfiddich 18. Would be my first thought. There are several whiskies I prefer over the King Alexander. But everyone has different favorites. The king Alexander is a good whisky...just a bit overpriced.

    I'm always just a little put off by Dalmore's excessive use of coloring and low proofs.

    • @Fellowrser
      @Fellowrser 2 года назад

      this doesn't use coloring and anything above 40 burns and distorts too much, I'm sure you dont drink 45 46 straight.

    • @cultofdagon

      Does it state that there is no added colour? If not, with Dalmore, my instinct is to assume there is colour added. And absolutely plenty of people drink 46% about whisky undiluted. I may want to dilute down to near 40, but I want that to be my choice.

    Coloured, no age statement, but named after a king and expensively packaged. "High net worth individual mass market". Yes, in English we say these people have "more money than sense".

    • @steven4570
      @steven4570 4 года назад +6

      "Coloured, no age statement"
      And this has no bearing on taste what so ever.

    The only conclusion a sane person could come to is that Dalmore gives you a lotta free stuff.
