I use Dorian boring bars. As long as they are not hanging out farther than the program calls for you should be fine. If the programs says go back z-5.5 then hang out your bar 5.7 🦾 this will help eliminate vibration. 🦾 I run .120 depth of cut feed rate of .012 and spindle speed s500.

The late Great Hannibal Lector who lived for a short amount of time in Minnesota would like to disagree with you. You see in 2017, under the Trump administration, ILLEGAL aliens came into our country and were taking Machinist jobs from the great citizens of Minnesota! We were promised a huge amazing wall. Machinist should of built the wall! We would of built the strongest biggest wall anyone has ever seen before. But instead, we paid ILLEGALS to build the wall.....with parts from CHINA! 500 miles of wall already eroded. Nobody has ever seen such a worst wall anywhere before. Now we have ILLEGAL ALIENS (many from insane asylums) are entering our country from ALL OVER the world, because of the failed Trump Border Wall and the failed Biden immigration!

Something I find common is how different people set-up their Tools in the Tool Turret 🤔
On a Manual Lathe, Tools are usually mounted in a Conventional style with the cutting edge facing Up.
    Whereas in a CNC Lathe.
Tools are usually mounted Inverted or pointing Down.
Which is how I usually mount all my Tools.
But I noticed especially in this video a combination of OD Turning Tools mounted in a Conventional way and ID Tools mounted Inverted ??
A common scenario that happens in production shops is to mount Tools in a Conventional way to make it easier to change the Inserts.
But I'm not sure about this combination other than cutting the ID on the Positive side of the Chuck ??

Здесь стоят направляющие скольжения, вероятно они лучше держат нагрузку на сжатие, чем на растяжение. А расточные видимо иметь правого точения - просто выгоднее, правый инструмент можно поставить куда угодно, а вот левый - нет.
