You ladies are right on for pointing out rascism. I'm Australian and I have white European parents as part of the 1960's white Australia immigrants policy. Australia has its own racial discrimination history of cruelty and genocide of the native population. As you have said, it needs to be recognized not ignored to move forward. In the early 2000's Australia's Prime minister made a National apology for the harm done to people in the past and present. It was a good first move and our country is better for it with a lot more to do.

I’m Really disappointed in Utah.. I moved away over 20 years ago.. When I got back, I noticed that it of course changed a bit.. This year the state Just passed 2 bills one on the bathrooms 🤦🏼♀️according to KSL news comments.. the majority of people were against That!! The other was for the Higher education.. They passed an “ Equal Opportunity initiative” for universities.. My heart sank as I read all the comments.. The majority of people were Mad that people of color got a “hand up” for acceptance to colleges and workplaces.. How in the hell is it a “hand up”?? Anyone can watch a video on American History!! It shows how Black people aren’t looking for a hand up, How about digging them out of the Hole WE white people put them in the First place!! I am just about to turn 55.. I AM White and handicapped..
I have been dealing with heart issues for 25 years, never had a black Dr. Recently had open heart surgery, black surgeon, best Dr I've ever had, ever. The hospital I was in the only black staff was cafeteria or janitorial. It was the first time I ever heard nurses questing what the Dr did, more than one and I have never heard that with a white dr.

What about the statue I just saw at the Battery in Charleston.. it is donated by no other than THE DAUGHTERS OF THE CONFEDERACY!!!! Remember the movie “THE HELP!!!!!”
I am a mixed race person from oregon and I find what you said about white people in predominatley white spaces to be eye opening. I have felt like this for a long time I remember feeling like especially my grandparents would have different conversations especially as it pertained to pollitics with each other that they would never have with me. I remember my grandfather saying how trump was embarassing just because he said everything people were thinking outloud (keep in mind my grandparents are very conservative and still voted for trump) and that politicians in the past were better because they didn't say what every one was thinking. I think many conservatives just want to be racist privately because then there are no consequences. They don't want people in white spaces making them feel guilty for their views. They genuinely think that minorities don't notice their prejudices when they interact with them and because they arent being overtly racist to every black person they see outside even if they cross the street racism is not real or its over-exaggerated.

I am originally from New York City, New York however I lived in Florida for many years. I can't begin to tell you the number of ignorant, unedcuated, racist and hateful individuals I came across in the Sunshine State who proclaimed to be devout Christians whether Baptist, Methodist, Pentacostal, Evangelical, Seven Day Adventists or non denominational. They also claim to be proud Patriotic Americans while simultaneously claiming to be staunch Southern Confederates/States Rights advocates having both the American flag & Confederate flags waving from their pick-up trucks. Law enforcement officials in Florida act like a bunch of Nazis. They shoot first and ask questions later. I kid you not, I could write a book on my time living in the Redneck Riviera.
We made two long trips to Florida in 2009 and 2010. I never in my life encountered so much nastiness and abuse. I kept count and found about 30 instances of abuse. Others have said the same. Maybe most of this was not due to racism but I swore I would never go back and I've kept my promise. People brag of the state's beauty, but I don't give a damn. The only nice people I met who were genuinely happy were my girl friend's relatives, who were black .We were so happy to finally able to cross the state line headed north. Now I fear my own state is turning red with all the Trump signs appearing.

Same here. When I moved back to TN to care for elderly relatives, it’s clear the state is moving backwards. Such a disappointment.

Ladies, first I love your show. Second, my wife and I lived on Yukon, OK for 3 years, had lovely neighbors but could never bring out pictures of grandkids since both our children fell in love with Black spouses and produced bunches of lovely grandkids and now greatgrandkids. I probably would have showed them out of damned Danish/Irish orneryness but it could have cost my wife her job. Of course everyone did not think they were racist because they probably worked with Black person but you can bet that fellow worker was not at the weekend BBQ or what ever.

I am originally from New York City, New York however I lived in Florida for many years. I can't begin to tell you the number of ignorant, unedcuated, racist and hateful individuals I came across in the Sunshine State who proclaimed to be devout Christians whether Baptist, Methodist, Pentacostal, Evangelical, Seven Day Adventists or non denominational. They also claim to be proud Patriotic Americans while simultaneously claiming to be staunch Southern Confederates/States Rights advocates having both the American flag & Confederate flags waving from their pick-up trucks. Law enforcement officials in Florida act like a bunch of Nazis. They shoot first and ask questions later. I kid you not, I could write a book on my time living in the Redneck Riviera.
We made two long trips to Florida in 2009 and 2010. I never in my life encountered so much nastiness and abuse. I kept count and found about 30 instances of abuse. Others have said the same. Maybe most of this was not due to racism but I swore I would never go back and I've kept my promise. People brag of the state's beauty, but I don't give a damn. The only nice people I met who were genuinely happy were my girl friend's relatives, who were black .We were so happy to finally able to cross the state line headed north. Now I fear my own state is turning red with all the Trump signs appearing.
