Could you explain how to get an American agent whilst you’re living in uk?
I also what to become an actor in UK but am in Uganda
Lets start from the beginning.
How do i get a work permit as an actor there? (I am from Hungary)
Hi, thank you for your video! But do agents in the US accept you if you are located in europe? That sounds tricky !
What headshot photographer companies would you recommend?
Hi, thank you for your question. I would reccomend Phil Sharpe and Faye Thomas. They will give you great quality headshots :)
how are you ment to get an agent in the uk and the us
Do you know if it's recommended to include dance and singing performances in my showreel if I have exeprience with those performing arts disciplines as well?
Is it a problem if im not a native speaker? Is there required some sort of english level? such as having B2, C1 etc.? My level is sth in between B2 & C1, is it enough? I can speak fluently, but ofc I don't know every single word, verb and so on:d
hi, I really want to get into acting but I don't know how to. I have no experience, and I am located in the UK. could you advise me on that? xx
Hi Idil, thank you for your message. I would start doing some theatre productions if you are interested stage or make a film showreel with short films or student films. I would also look in getting acting classes :)
@@wendy-annedaloz3480 thanks for the reply, do you have any acting classes based in london. And tips for show reels, i have never made one before xxx
@@idilzeynepss I would recommend going on the spotlight webpage www.spotlight.com/contacts you will find everything you need. You can either message film directors or companies and invest in making one or you can find some film directors who will gladly collaborate especially students in film schools will do collaborations.
@@wendy-annedaloz3480 where can i find the film directors. Acting has always been in my mind but i dont know if its late, im 18 at the moment, doing law in uni and it is going to be hard doing it at the same time but i still really want to. Also most acting schools are shut atm unfortunately 😳
@@idilzeynepss I’m in the same position as you! Studying law in uni but want to pursue acting. Have you made any changes? What are you doing at the moment? I would love to hear as I’m struggling to make a decision in regards to future career prospects
What is the difference between Acting Classes and Workshops? Also Can you put Acting Workshops on acting cv however i might struggle to format my cv?
yes of course. Workshops are an introduction lets day to the school or the training youd be going to.
Hii I want to become actor in London
Hi, let me know anything you'd like to know
For Training, Can you take Acting classes instead of courses?
Yes of course. There are many alternatives. You can take one year part-time courses especially for those who want to work as an actor at the same time. You can take tasting classes and workshops.
@@wendy-annedaloz3480 could you name few good classes places in 🇬🇧?
@@SomeOne-sb4xf Impulse Company for Meisner, The Salon Collective
I would recommend checking Spotlight. They'll recommend you the best classes.
You can try getting in an accredited drama school
I’m 20 is it too late to start? I have no idea what I’m doing :/
I want to be an actor how can i get any movie or series
Greetings Wendy,

Hello! I am from Honduras (a small country in Latin América) I'm 22 years old, I speak english really well and my aspect is like a white person. I have studied acting in my country a lot, and take courses. do you think its possible for me to live in the U.K and work as an actor? I would like to study acting there. I will definitely follow all your advices, thank you!!!
Can u help me out present I am a short film actor in India
Hello! I have an acting degree, I studied acting for stage and screen in a uni in London. The thing is I obviously have to survive so I am doing another job at the moment irrelevant to acting. I really really want to start working as an actor but since I work full time in this other job I don't know how to make time for anything else. Also, I feel like I don't know enough ways how to get into this world. I know spotlight and my goal is to be in there, but at the same time I feel that that is the only way and I can't see any other way to do. I get often very negative and I kinda forget of this dream but I am going to be so sad if I don't do everything I can.. also I have payed a lot of money to my uni, so I don't wanna pay anymore for courses or workshops, I wanna work now. How do I do except Spotlight? How do I believe I'm my self also?
Hi Danai, I think if you keep networking, reach out to many people in the industry, one day with persistence the right person will come to you :)
@@wendy-annedaloz3480 hey Wendy, bit this is exactly what I don't understand, how do you do networking?
@@danaidelfina go to events, parties and you can make a lot of connections from there. Acting agencies/ Film directors, find a mentor who can give you the contacts
Are they're any colleges for screen acting 16 yr olds afte in finish yr 11 in london ?
Identity drama school
im 16 years old with no acting experience and I need help to start my acting career
Hi, I would start out doing some plays at school or and some short films to gain some experience.
Hi I would start doing some plays at school and put the experience on your CV. You can invite some agents :)
@@wendy-annedaloz3480 how do I get agents ?
@@np1602 Hi, I would invite an agent by e-mail or by letter to watch a performance or a showcase or you can send them your showreel.
Do you think you can get an agent without a show-reel? I am in the process of getting headshots, but don't have a show-rell...
Hi Nabilah, thank you for your question. The top agents will definitely require a showreel. If you have a monologue or a short piece of yourself acting some agents may accept your submission. Some agents will give you a monologue to perform and based on your performance they will accept you.
@@wendy-annedaloz3480 would recording a Showreel in a studio be good enough? Or do I need to show them that I have been in projects such as theatre productions and short films or whatever?
Also, do you think most agents will require you to do a monologue they ask for specifically?
Thank you for answering!
@@nabilahdelowar I would recommend messaging in facebook group, film film directors to film shorts, find companies that film shorts, find film graduate university students willing to collaborate. Apply online. For the monologues, they will send you one :) Whatever you do , do everything, always ! Never stop, never give up !
