    I love the idea of acting, I get really excited thinking about scenes I could imagine myself in, and different roles I could play but the scariest thing for me, completely, is other people. I dont know if Id be happy with the amount of attention you get for performing, let alone if you become recognizable. I'm an introvert with stage fright, its hard to push myself into it.

      There’s both positive or negative way to look at this but view how you want; not a lot of actors makes it big in the sense of fame. Or some good actors have a few fans but aren’t recognised often. I understand your worry but I believe you will get through it, acting is also a journey and if you love doing it hopefully those concerns will bother you less and less as you progress! I wish you luck! 🧡

    I do a bunch of short films on my personal/professional channel. More so directing, writing, editing, etc as opposed to acting. However, definitely want to pursue this career as a whole. This video was greatly helpful! Most videos just talk about how hard it is to get in and don’t really give solutions besides saying “get lucky”. I’m currently 18 in northern nevada, just graduated. While my family is supportive…. Once I graduated they just want me focusing on a “real job” instead of anything with film. This video is very inspirational! Thank you!

    Thought I'd give some advice here so I spoke to my friend who is a UK actor who has done it for 19 years, he is really quite successful and who I have worked with as a production assistant several times. Here are his 3 tips....
    1) Get some professional training.
    Even if your the best natural actor in the world this shows your dedicated and will hone those skills. It will also teach you certain phrases you will hear on set and then you won't have to ask what they mean.
    2) DO NOT under any circumstances mention social media in an audition. Casting directors hate it. They don't care how many followers you have and if you share everything on social media they may not want to let you see the script or be around any big names.
    3) Be realistic and manage your expectations. Your never guaranteed your next acting role. 97% of actors either work or have worked regular jobs. Even some bigger names go back to regular jobs, you just don't hear about it much. Their not all as rich as you might think. Sometimes a big film might not pay much but it could lead to a commercial that pays more than you can imagine. You may be surprised what roles earn you bigger money....In this industry you've 'made it' if your getting a paycheck.

    • @Sumhavo1
      @Sumhavo1 7 месяцев назад

      What sort of professional training and are there any resources to find this training?

    • @sdfilmproductions4193
      @sdfilmproductions4193 7 месяцев назад

      @@Sumhavo1 A few years with any professional drama group will provide efficient training that Casting directors and agents will accept and this will also provide a couple theatre roles to start an acting resume. He has said however that you have to constantly be phoning and arranging meetings with industry professionals. He started decades ago when there was no internet. He said it's so much easier nowadays but he did emphasise real industry professionals will not advertise or reach out on social media. You have to reach out to them the old fashioned way. Phone, arrange a meeting, and then meet with them in person.

    I really want to become an actor. All I want is to entertain and affect other people through my acting like how shows and movies have affected me in my life. But the things that are making me doubt myself is that first, I am pretty shy and I am not really social. Second I really don’t think I have the face for acting, like I feel like nobody would want my face on a screen. Third, I don’t know how to maneuver my face to look sincere in what I am trying to portray. I think about the other possible careers I could have but I just feel like I would miss this opportunity and dream I have now and I feel like I would not be happy and enjoying my life if I did something else. I haven’t figured out who I am yet so maybe that is the problem, but I really do have the desire to become a great actor and to make an impact on other people’s lives. ❤

    Hey there Hannah. I'm an active duty soldier working right now. Have a year and a half left in my contract. But through all the time I've been serving thinking alot about what I will do after the army. As you can tell I want to make it in the business of acting and hopefully make it into big parts in acting like in Hollywood or Netflix. You think I should do something while I'm in or follow all you said after I'm done with the army. I don't really have any experience in theater in highschool, never did any auditions. I'm starting from the ground and want to go up. Hope I can get some pointers from you and your subs to see if you can help me. Don't want to sound greedy or cringy but I want to become famous as to make myself be known, support my family, and live happy in what I want to do with my life. I was always a nobody but I want to enspire and make people smile in what I do if I can be of fame. Hope to see myself making people happy with my work. Just need some direction. On where to start. What to do.

    I've been a musical theatre actor for 5 years. I am 19. The things that are holding me back are 1: it feels trickier to make any money in theatre than in film, I've been in professional shows in Wisconsin but have never made over $500, and 2: I'm so deeply confused as to how people have day jobs while acting. How do I have a steady income outside of acting? It's such an unstable business financially and I don't know what else I could do to make money without being unable to take acting opportunities.
