I just wondered; you mention that extras have a base camp where they may hang around for a period of time. Is it at this place where you can securely store your suitcase/any other belongings you would need to bring with you on set or do they have any other 'safe space' for this?
I am trying to get into extra work because I used to want to be an actress, I'm old now (32) so that ship sailed, but I think it'll be good to get me out of the house. However, I'm worried I won't be pretty enough to get chosen! Do you find they let people who are less attractive get chosen?
Payment of extras is at 09.55 seconds, not being funny but that is what brought me here, I guess being nosey, I wondered if people could make a full time job out of it, I was told there are communities in America that live together to get extra work, plus I git told you can't speak un less spoken to on big film sets to the big actors, and the big actors take advantage and shag the good looking extras, promising them more lines in movie etc,

Outlander, I wish I was an extra on that! My cousin got a offer to be an extra on that, but the silly man didn't want to shave off his beard?! Hair grows back!!! I have told him he is a silly human!!!
