Wow is that thing ever restricted.... you can see it close the secondary throttle plates really early and power drops dramatically in the high revs. It Should make a fair bit more power once it gets flashed and restrictions removed.
You see why people don't buy these anymore. Not that much HP and at very high RPM. A Street Triple or an MT09 make more HP and at a more usable range. Once a great bike but times have moved on.
I agree for the road and in stock form, but these bikes are choked to death. Its not uncommon that with a bit of electronic wizardry; a full system and some velocity stacks they pump out around 130hp at the back wheel. It makes them such a weapon on track.
@@Stratocasterhead51 Even on the track if you are not on the exactly right gear you will suffer. I also doubt that you will be able to get 30% more HP (as much as the 750) at a reasonable cost. A Street Triple RS make 20 hp more at aroun 1k RPM lower and way more torque throughout the rev range. I can't see the GSX R600 keeping up with a ST RS on track. But it will be fun trying too.
@nicksokolis6343 bruh, you're comparing 765cc and 900cc bikes with a 600. The fact that we're even making this much power at all given this displacement size is a miracle of engineering. Compare an inline four of the same displacement and the four banger continues to dominate.
Street Triples are garbage that doesn't last. When was the last time you saw a 10 year old Street Triple? There are 10-15 year old GSXRs all over the place. The only reason they start disappearing is because squids crash them.
Perfect power for public roads. 42% less torque and 26% less horsepower than my previous bike. Which means I can actually rev it out most of the time, no more boring short-shifting. It’ll require more skill and finesse to go fast, where the previous bike was much less sensitive to gear selection and just had constant, massive, roll-on power.
Having high torque is good. It's great! But this is a high revving screamer. Not every single bike needs to have high torque to enjoy it. This simple minded thinking stating "torque rules", is weak and shows constrained perception

Suzuki is the best
Love me a gxsr
Mine did 109 hp at the rear STOCK with a street tire, also on a Dyno Jet, and 115hp with a full Arrow exhaust
What a tire got too do with it

It was the Bridgestone s21
Something special about it
Love this tests and motorcycles, thank you Cycle World!!! ❤
didn't these things used to make ~115 hp?
Not at the wheel
About 105ish at the wheel

Very nice.
I love my Gixxer 750.
Surprisingly flat torque curve, but still good power. Bet that's quite good for sport commuting 😊
CD uu
Ddd sad ddsuuusp😊❤😊
The R750 takes care of that for you. It's a balance between high revving 600 and low end torque of 1000 😊
it has a lovely sound

what was your previous bike bro?
Pretty disappointing compared to past model years. They really do cap these things for the US market, shame.
Do what was the top speed
😢 nothing..👎
Torque always rules, and that was weak AF.
You gotta be joking
Oh, does a twin motor that's 50% bigger make more torque? Wow you really figured shit out genius.@@sonny9608

If only someone would invent gears, then we could trade rpm for torque as required 😉
