  • Handmade Holographic Silicone Mold for Epoxy Resin
Trying to replicate a glass diamond crystal prism ornament, with holographic effects.
    Silicone rubber replicates holographic surfaces.
This art project is inspired by Birthstones.

We tested our handmade molds with alcohol inks, pigment dye & clear epoxy resin.
Each month we will make an Epoxy Resin Crystal, inspired by Birthstones.

    February - Amethyst Purple
    March - Aquamarine Light Blue
    April - Diamonds
    May - Emerald
    June - Pearl

Nice video. Don’t worry about comments from people who feel the need to inject negativity for no apparent reason.

That was smart to do the cloth. I was going to mention it but I didn’t know what it was called. Looks awesome

Thankyou it's a working process I think we might need a stronger silicone. This is very soft and tears easily.

Need a deep pour resin to ensure no air bubbles, at least a 48 hr cure. 😊 Great effort in making those molds! Wow, that was a lot of work!

I use contact paper from the dollar store. I think it’s a lot cheaper than the circuit transfer paper. Thank you for a very nice video. And just ignore the haters they’re stupid.

Since I wouldn't want to have to clean up the most important facet I would have stuck it down on one of the facets in the back.

I think people use hot glue we have bought some now we tried transfer tape but it wasn't enough in its own to stop the leak.

Spray your mold with 90%alcohol to un mold items or unmold the mold itself lol

Thankyou all advice is appreciated 👍🏻 we haven't tried any release sprays apart from soap and water 💦

@@kimandniallsarts spray with alcohol before pouring to help reduce bubbles, when unmolding, lift part of the mold away from the piece and spray liberally, then you can smoosh it around for an easy release. Careful sometimes the piece will pop out really fast lol

Really dislike the obnoxious music. The editing is choppy and confusing, but appreciated the inserted text to explain what was supposed to be going on..
