Don't do a stripper pole. there is a reason towers came about. It's all about fulcrum. Back in the Ten Foot Pole days, we would lose so much power of our cut outside the wake due to the angle of the rope pulling on that central point in the boat and it would roll the boat to the side. The tower spreads that force down the gunnel and into the sides of the boat and it tries to lift the whole one side up and it takes WAY more force to do that. Plus, that pylon is not meant to have that kind of leverage added to it. Even with the ratchet bow strap, it isn't good on them.
@@SlightlyLessFat i ended up putting a Skylon pylon extension on my boat but the wake was way too flat to wake board behind so I sold the boat. It was great for slalom and tubing though.
Is the pylon removable? Trying to figure out the best way to put a taller pylon in for wakeboarding. Just bought an 89 Supra Comp.
