I love jogging bottoms, gave up with fashion ages ago, now I just wear casual clothes, hoodies and t shirts.

I always hated shopping for pants, because I had a very difficult size to shop for.
It made pants shopping an excruciatingly LONG experience and I still have a childhood trauma to that... :(

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry to hear that!! :( Pants shopping is the WORST, I absolutely hated it too when I was young. This is why online shopping really helps I guess :)

The Metallica shirt is awesome. As someone whose leg are bigger than their waist I have been buying the same Levi's 569 jeans for probably 27 years now. Only ones that fit.

I enjoy a weird mix of formal and informal, my outfits are kind of both formal and sloppy/casual at the same time. I tend to wear the same style of outfit for months or years at a time with nominal variation. For example, my preferred outfit for fall, winter, and early spring is a turquoise peacoat (unbuttoned, worn as a blazer, I button it up when going out in cool or cold weather) over a purple tank top with food stains on it, a long grey wool skirt and ugg boots. To me this outfit is the most cozy and comfortable thing imaginable. In the summer I have to dress differently for obvious reasons, I often wear short but comfortable dresses. I like this one pair of red wedges in summer because they let me stand on my tippy toes and I luck out with my weird shaped feet, but as they've gotten lots of wear over the past few years they aren't as pretty as when I bought them, but that's okay, I dress for comfort. Anyways, people find it surprising that I wear a heavy winter coat in winter over this and it's hard to explain my peacoat isn't really a coat to me although it can function as one, the peacoat is like my shirt and the tank top my undershirt.

I have a coat exactly like you describe!! It's a basic long black coat, and I wear it so much it basically almost functions like a shirt too :) People don't know why I wear it all year round - it's basically my comfort blanket!
How funny you mentioned your lovely red wedges which help you stand on tippy toes - that's literally one of my main criteria for finding shoes! "How easily can I pace on tiptoes in these," hehe
Thank you for your comment btw, it's so interesting!! I love how particular people's styles are when they're autistic :)

@@autism_and_niamh I definitely relate to that, I even wear my coat to bed. It gets too hot to wear my coat in the summer but as soon as it's cool enough that I don't feel nauseous wearing it I start wearing it again. It gets hot here in the summer, like 80's and 90's (that's 30's Celsius). I learned my lesson from when I was 14, I got this really pretty shiny red rubber raincoat with the money I got from my grandparents after passing 8th grade. I wore that raincoat all the time even though due to the heat I was constantly sweating. I stopped wearing it after we went to a fireworks show and I missed half the show because I was doubled over from the nausea (I even threw up once). That taught me that just because I can do something it doesn't mean I should. I've found I really love coats though but I'm so much more careful as an adult. I think this coat is much safer to wear all the time though because it's less insulating than my raincoat was.

Love your accent! My brother has autism and always wears the same things. He tries though..... he really tries.... :)

Awh thank you! :D I never notice my accent, hehe xD Awh that might just be your brother's way of seeking comfort. As long as he's happy that's all that matters :)

The anxiety about moving in with your partner is due to not being able to cope with change, and moving is a huge change. Autistic people can’t cope with change. I’ve ended up very unwell mentally every time I’ve moved.

Absolutely!! It’s such a step out of my comfort zone and I haven’t moved house since I was tiny :( Sorry to hear that, but thank you for sharing - makes me feel less alone dealing with big changes :)

Specific mood + Certain clothes = tummy aches for me. I know that makes no sense. But try telling that to my gut and the toilet.

I'm a trainers girl, can't stand boots either. I also have a problem with sandals, trainers all the way for me. I only have three pairs of trainer, all I need.

Sandals !!! I can never walk in them, nor flipflops. Plus your feet get dirty 😅 I’m the same, I have barely any shoes but trainers. It’s the way to go I think :)
