God I want a UCS Venator class Cruiser (for those who don't know, that's the main republic cruiser design in the clone wars era). We only ever got one proper release of that set, which was a very meh playset. Please lego redo it.
@Lego Boba Fett True. There was actually a moc that got a fair amount of traction on the Lego Ideas website and it actually looked pretty damn good all things considered, but I don't think it ever got to the point of being reviewed, and if it did it never passed.

I always liked the little scale ships with the Star Destroyer (Tantive IV), Super Star Destroyer (regular Star Destroyer), and death star 2 (Super Star Destroyer) because of the sense of scale it gives you for the absolute size of these things. It would be cool if the Tantive came with an escape pod that you could compare with one of the Droid Escape Pod sets to be able to scale everything up from minifig size.

The TIE Interceptor will always have a place in my heart. My dad bought it for me when I was very young, so that when I was old enough we could build it together. We finally did when I turned 17. It was in really good condition and I could’ve sold it, but I didn’t. To this day it’s still one of my favorite sets that I own.

The new Clone Wars seasons might get us just that. I just hope they make a Republic Gunship set that only has Clone Troopers, it would be the thing that allows me to die knowing that humanity has a chance.

I bought one, and then realized I had nowhere to actually put it. Eventually we found a spot on top of the column/closet thing in the foyer.
Was able to snag 2 about 4 months before anyone else. Amazing set.
The Creator8888 i got it for Christmas when I was like 8 or 9 and I’ve had it on my shelf ever since. It’s my favorite build I’ve ever done

They should really remake this set. Take out all of the named characters, keep the Ewoks, and more stormtroopers, and rename it. Now u have ur vary own Ewok Hunt!

The star destroyer came out
I built that first Xwing . It was a nightmare haha . there are eight bright blue pieces in the kit used to connect the wings to the axles so they could open . I found only seven. I looked through the giant pile of bricks for over an hour then just went to my box and got a piece to replace it . A couple hours later I finish and look at what pieces are left , and sure enough that bright blue piece is right there.

Until recently, in large LEGO sets you had to open EVERY SINGLE BAG by step 5. In the newer sets, the parts are bagged by chapters in the instruction manual.
I got that one and the tie fighter from my mom for Christmas back in 2001 I loved them regardless I still have them and the box and instructions
Thats why I love Lego. Every time I think they forgot a piece I eventually find it. QC is top tier.
The 2 Death Star playsets with all the scenes and minifigures looks really tacky to me for a UCS set, it would really be much better if it came with plating to cover up everything so it would just be a static display much like the older full death star ucs sets.

I have the SSD, and I like it but it has quite a lot of problems: its shape is not really very accurate because it bottom half is flat, and it is two narrow. I hope they make a new version sometime =)
I think Assault on Hoth would be more widely popular if Lego had committed to creating a full Echo Base (possibly still including the wampa cave)

In addition to that they have, with their old colours, a pretty charm.
I only own the Slave 1, i think it’s amazing, the detail is spot on. It looks minifig scale too which I love.
My mother in law banged her head on my display shelf and it’s now back in the box in pieces ready to be built again, when I find the time haha.

Okay so I don’t know how I got to this video but I just wanted to say when I was a kid I got the slave 1 set, it was my favorite toy but I tragically had to move across country, so as a gesture I thought I’d give it to one of my close friends at the time. I later called him to find out his sister had smashed it to pieces. Rip

My favorites we'll always be the ones that are too scale with minifigures like the slave 1 and millennium falcon. Having the combination off movie accuracy in terms off scale with the play factor of the interiors and minifigures always gets me super excided. They are something cool to display on the shelf in my office but also something i can play with my son with. Lego truly is the best toy in the world.

You’re right, but it’s also fair to judge it on how it was at the time. Like yeah, by today’s standards it might look shite, but compared to the standards of the time it came out, it might be pretty good.
Well not exactly. For example steam engines are shite compared to atom reactors. But in the second half of the 18th century steam engines were the pinnacle of technology. So judging something in the context of the time it was made is completely legitimate.

I remember getting the BIG Episode 2 catalogue. Not big as in thick, but I think it had to have been 14" x 20", absolutely massive for any magazine, but they used all that extra space to showcase the sweeping battle scenes of Geonosis, vehicles, the UCS Tantive IV, and all manner of things.
Mom would toss all the catalogues and only give me the Lego Magazines, but I remember sneaking this one and holding onto it for years. Sadly, I think it got tossed when I moved out, otherwise I'd absolutely still pour over the awesome sets that came out back in the day. I s'pose this channel kinda makes up for it. . .
I agree with most of these, but I wish the yoga and darth maul statues were higher, just because we haven’t seen anything else like it, and if it were in your room it would look like something straight from legoland. They should definitely make newer models that would look nicer, with updated pieces, but my all time favourite ucs set is the Death Star II.

I honestly really like the vids you put out! Opinion are on point and even it's just a personal favorite its just an opinion. I love the old set cause I'm bout 30😅 and thats what i had growing up but I do like the new detailed sets and figures. Some are investments but takes an good eye to tell. Legos!!! even as a adult I still love them 💜

i actually really like the original falcon because of its blockiness. i never was a fan of round and see-through lego pieces. in my opinion too many special pieces it make it almost feel like like a revell modell and not a lego modell.

16:08 I was young like 8 and I was huge into Starwars Lego's, anyways my cousin had just turned 8 he was about 2 months older then me and my dad being the legend he was got this for him and I was SOOOO jealous. I got over it, when my birthday came around and my dad got me the whole hoth setup, the Hoth scene was always my favorite, so when I unwrapped it I I litterally cried.

Honestly, I am genuinely impressed in myself considering that I am 14 and have a LEGO collection that is one-tenth the size of Ryans.
All sets are good, but some don't work as an UCS Set.

Awesome video! My list would be very similar, and my #1 favorite is the same as yours. If you updated this, do you think you would replace 10030 with the upgraded 75252? It's far superior, especially when it comes to the architecture and foundation of the insides.

I had the slave 1 when I was a kid I didn’t know it was a UCS if I did I wish I would of kept the pieces on the ship rather than mixing other sets. Glad it made no 3 i was super scared every time you moved on to the next I wasn’t sure if you put this at the bottom

A lot of ranking videos get on my nerves a little bit for placing things too high or too low, but this is really accurate, for me at least
