Lego sticks to a strict shot schedule where lepin will use molds until they become almost totally unusable. Honestly Lepin did make a quality product and recreated retired sets that were tough to get. I love the train sets but couldn't buy an original Emerald Night and I needed several Horizon Express sets so I bought Lepin.

This was really cool, but I think a much more visually interesting process is Vapor Smoothing! You put the ABS object in a tank like this with a fan and some liquid in the bottom of the container and seal it. Then the vapors smooth out ridges and sharp corners, and leave the surface glossy without actually destroying the object. I think that would be cool to see.

You don't have to fill a pressure cooker with dry ice for it to explode. Just use it as normal and open it. The cover is gonna fly off and you probably loose a hand.
They didn't get the result they wanted. They could've poured clean solvent and dunked the first one, but it had already started eating away at the plastic and would've made the liquid milky.
