2 ideas:
1) we saw a color change with the boil, it turned straight purple/blue on the sides -- you should get it to boil and then cool and see if it acts differently after the color change.
2) coat things in it and let it dry, see if it keeps that metallic look or just turns black

You can freeze in the ink in the shape of a cylinder. And then vacuum that frozen block.

Try to first thin the ink by heating it up. Then put the thinned ink in a spray can and try spraying a surface to see if it looks shiny.

Is the plastic from the pens thermoforming (can be heated and shaped) and if so could you melt all of the plastic and try to mould it into something?

I used to like playing with ballpoint ink when I'm in class. I take out the inside part and blow on the other side so that the ink comes out from the ballpoint and mess around with it. I took a feather and dipped it in a small bead of ink and wrote "hi" on a piece of paper. It's really fun 😅

Yes
You can by the glow stuff as a powder, we use it in nail art to mix with different gel polishes. It's not got a colour of its own except the glow when it is dark, so you can mix it with any type of polish, ink or varnish you like.

Ink Components
There are hundreds of variations on ink formulas. The average ballpoint pen’s ink is composed of dye or pigment particles - carbon black for black pens, eosin for red, or a suspected cocktail of Prussian blue, crystal violet and phthalocyanine blue for the classic blue pen - suspended in a solvent of oil or water.
