There seems to be an extra audio clarity in your videos this year. Even with RUclips compression and gain. I can hear the individual notes better on chords. The thing is you have change at least three major components recently. What do you think is contributing the most to this? Is it the new magnets that are designed specifically for guitar? The new v2 guitars? That new Barefaced cab?

The german version would be: "Eine Alte Dame Geht Bier Einkaufen" - an old lady goes to get beer
Edit: had a stupid mistake in the german sentence, since in swissgerman (of my region) nobody uses the equivalent of the standard german "Bier einkaufen" but much rather "Bier holen" which gives a H (B) String instead of an E String.

ROB!! I've been struggling a long time with the F-chord. I've watched tutorials, I've practiced until my hand hurt, I've thought to myself that well maybe my hands are just different and I'm not made to play this chord. So I just went with version B of the F-chord for the longest time and just skipped barre-chords completely. The cue points you gave, especially with the thumb right behind the index finger, for some reason just made it click for me! The chord sounds clear and I am really excited right now! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you! Very informative and thorough. I have been in a 20 year slump with my playing. It’s as if I had hit a wall and could not progress no matter what I tried. It has been so frustrating that I just quit altogether. I’m back now with a shiny new, fresh mindset and plenty of motivation. I am now progressing to where I don’t have to play the same songs and licks that I have been playing over and over for years. That was the wall that I’m speaking of. Same stuff, over and over and over again until I just couldn’t do it anymore. Your videos inspire me to get better and I thank you for that. Greatly appreciated my friend!

It's fun to return to the basic. I was listening and thinking that this is the basic of music and you don't need much more than that to play anything that you want. Yes there are other chords, 7th, 9th, but there so many songs are using only those basic chords that I could have fun for hours with only that. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy the way you teach.

    Dear Professor Chapman,
I whish had picked up the guitar at 12 and not 42...
After 13 years of playing I can now do a credible Crossroads (cheating around in the solo) and half decent Pride and Joy (oooh the practice that went into that intro and fugged aboud da solo...) but I can thoroughly enjoy your lessons and demos.
    All the best from Stockholm,
    /Peter

Im here only to admire that gorgeoes ML1 😍
Video needs sequel, where you will explain common chord sequences for different genres. Like blues uses 1,4,5 etc ...

@@RobChappers love you Rob, hope you will make that vid, as I really love your "modes" vids. First modes vids, that makes sense to me and are applicable.

another video; working through the actual notes being played in the chord when you fret a string. (third fret on the A string is the note C etc, bla la la la di da....)
