Hello Hugo, thanks alot for sharing this personal information with us all. It is very intresting to know how to proceed with Leica when a camera must return to the factory in Germany for a repair. Many thanks to inform us about the amount of the invoice. Great video ! Greetz, Roger, Antwerp.
Hope repair works as well as it looks. A very reassuring video for those of us with old Leica digitals. We all drop camera gear, I unwrapped a new Nikon 200-500 and down it went, luckily on to carpet. I look forward to your videos and have been tempted to purchase an M9 to go with my M8. However I love my M8 and was worried that I wouldn,t use it any more so I bought an M6 with money raised from selling camera gear. Have you used a film Leica ? So far it is great fun to carry my two Leicas around, sharing lenses. All the best, David.
Thank you David! Im glad the video is useful. I also love my M8 and i think there is no need to have also a M9, but this is not about "I need", is more about "I want" ;-) And by the way, I want a film Leica! Never tried, I use a couple of Yashica´s for film photography. A film Leica must be a pleasure to own, and not problems with dust in the sensor, batteries and this kind of things.
I am looking forward to comparing the prints from the M6 to the filmic output of the M8. Please keep the videos coming, always pleased to see a new one. David.
I’m glad your repair was successful. Do you know if Leica still service the M8?. I have a old mint M8 which works fine but I’m sure after all these years a little CLA would extend its working life a little longer. Thanks for sharing this video.
Hi again Graham, I forgot to say that it was two years ago when I send the M8 to Leica, so im not sure if they continue serving it. I hope so, is such a unique camera and don't think they should forget about it.
Hola Hugo.
I’m sure they do, why not? But for better information you can write directly to Leica Wetzlar. In the web page must be a contact email. They have good customer service and will answer all your questions. All the best!
Hello and thank you. The lunar like piece is a "tapiz" done by the artist Luis Cienfuegos. The title is "Full moon", so you are right calling it like this ;-) I didn't try the Epson RD yet.
Hi Hugo, great news. Look forward to your next video with that Zeiss lens. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Im working on it, regarding focus shift in the Sonar ;-)
Hi Hugo, great to hear you got the M9 repaired and not too expensive or too long at Leica. Looking forward to your next vlog
Geoff.
Tank you Geoff!

@Nasir Willie yup, have been using Flixzone} for months myself :D
@Nasir Willie yea, have been using flixzone} for since december myself =)
I took my M9into the Leica store in London and they sent it off for me.
Hi! I tried to do so here in Marbella, but at the end was easier like this.
If you used a neck strap that accident had never happened.
Also if he had been in outer space ;)
