    So I’m learning photoshop more in-depth then when I took it in college, and I used the warp tool and everything was perfect until I got to the color burn stage. The item underneath the image I want to warp has lettuce ring and is a darker color, could that be why?

    Hello really helpful tutorial worked out for my bedsheet design to wrap on bed, worked out pretty well, the only issue is I dont want to do all the wrap hard work again and want to replace image only,tried alot couldnt figure it out, Please reply, Thanks in advance

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns  3 года назад

      You can actually relink the image and replace it, that will re-apply it with the warp transformation. So if you wanted to, create the warp you want, leave the layer as a smart layer and when you have the new image or design right click on the layer and go to "Relink to file", locate the new image and press ok and it will replace the current design. Also make sure to save your project as a .PSD so you can always re-edit it and adjust the layers

    Before I dive in, does this method work to wrap a texture around a complex
    object like a plant with leaves and flowers? I followed a different video to turn a couple of tulip plants into blue-veined white marble, and that worked very well. But when I tried following the same steps to change the leaves and stems into green jade, the texture wouldn't "glue itself" around the contours of the plant, so it looked like a flat slab of jade seen through a mask with a plant-shaped hole.
    I just don't want to spend more time down the rabbit hole struggling with this.

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns  Год назад

      have you got an example picture so i can get a better idea on what you'd be working with. I'm more of a visual person so I find it easier that way

    • @jamesvanscoyoc6064
      @jamesvanscoyoc6064 Год назад

      @@VerticDesigns I do have an example, if you'd like to see it. How should I get it to you?
      I made the jade texture from an Adobe Stock download to which I added several duplicate layers, which I slightly offset and reduced their opacity to provide greater depth to the veining.

      @@VerticDesigns Thanks for getting back to me. I realized I'd forgotten a step when trying to process the jade filter. After I went back and corrected that, the final image came out much better. It's still not nearly as good as the blue-veined white marble, and I think this may have to do with the the nature of the textures. The blue veining of the marble occurs in small splotches throughout, which are visible on every leaf and stem, making the "marble" tulips mire convincing. By contrast, the veining on the jade is bigger and more random, so much of the greenery just continues to look like natural plant material.

    I made the mistake of adding my image to an object that was colored, and when I added the color burn effect it looked terrible. Took me a few minutes to realize my mistake. So, remember boys and girls, this only applies to white objects.

    • @VerticDesigns
      @VerticDesigns  2 года назад

      yeh I should of mentioned it in the video the reason I did it was because the original image had shadows so it blended it nicely but if you've got a different colour then you'd add in the shadows manually by reselecting the object, make new layer and use the brush tool with a black colour to paint it on then lower opacity and try the different effects
