    Normally I would use a displacement map, however if it's something quite simple it looks like the changes to the warp tool could help speed things up.

    More please. I'm trying to put a flat 2D image of a magazine cover I designed and map it onto a piece of stock art that has an empty cover with thickness due to pages and some curving of the paper as a thin magazine might do if it was saddle stitched and sitting on a table. Thanks!

    Thanks for letting me know about the warp split feature that’s great to know and since i started playing around with Photoshop a bit more, i actually found this very useful and now work a bit with this tool.
    For what I do, it works a treat, especially for moulding an image to a image like in my case, a part of my body ( you might remember I try to design my tattoo 🤪)
    Cool tool 👍 thanks a lot for helping all of us 🙏🏼 learn more and more each video you bring out- good work and my thanks for all your efforts.
    Cheers 🍻

    Cool. Seems like having an understanding of the pen tool will let you really control warp. How does it look on faces/skin? Is it a quicker alternative to liquify?

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  3 года назад

      Liquify, Warp, displacement maps, puppet warp are all useful. Sometimes a combo of different tools will yield the best results.

    Thanks Colin for this information. How about the 3D features being discontinued in the PS version 22.5 from August 2021? It seems that your very interesting method of using lighting effects will not be possible anymore. Do you plan to make any video explaining abou that?

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  3 года назад +1

      no, not in this case. A hammer isn't better than a saw. Different tools for different cases. You might run a d map after warp. But my goal here is to demonstrate the Warp tool, not to create a complex tutorial.

  • @peggystaley4776
