Unmesh is the only person I saw who is proving that AI is a tool not a replacement. AI can do everything but we always need someone expert in that field.
@@rokYYs Humanity landed on the moon like 50 years ago and airplane was invented about 50 years before that. Yet now we don't have commercial flying cars or even a really functioning self driving ones. Clearly it's not just a simple exponential growth. There might be either an explosion of capability or a plateau ahead.
Nice! I might pick choice number 2...wait 25 years. This video makes me nostalgic for the PiXimperfect video of the dogs behind the chain link fence. That tutorial came in handy a few times.
Wow wow wow! I’m not bad in terms of my Photoshop skills but I would NEVER have attempted that. Incredibly talented, really entertaining and really enjoyable to watch! Massive respect!
Whaaaaat. I didn't know you can shift click to get straight lines with the paint brush. Always learn a new technique in your videos. Thanks for sharing!
I discovered that by accident. What I didn’t know was selecting the intersecting parts of a selection command. And I’ve been using Photoshop since 1998. 😱
Since your hand painting the mask already you can also just sample the color from the under layer to paint the mask to just achieve the similar effect of the context aware fill which can in some cases be a better option so good to note in the event context aware doesn't work. Cases might include images with a lot of small details that context away just doesn't understand etc but eitherway this was a Pixperfect tutorial extremely valuable info!
Came here for a different purpose but figured the techniques you used here would help solve my problems, and yep, I was correct. Thanks a lot for this video 😁
Short answer: You can't We need a test with two similar photos, one shot with a fence, and the other without a fence, remove the fence in the in the first photo, compare the two images and answer the questions "does this make it the same thing?" I mean, for a random image this works, but what if it's an image of someone you know? would they still look like the same person?
I love your videos I ask you all a question ,am I the only one who slows the videos down to understand them? This video is good to see what you can do and can't do with AI, in my own photography I can not see a use, when playing with composites the same as I then have a greater say in what is happening it might take me longer but give me greater satisfaction.
Always fun to see all those powerful tools. With the advent of AI, what we really need is for Adobe to provide a simple ‘fence removal tool’…it would help to get rid of fences in zoo pictures!
You need to use an extremely blurred version of the content as the masked content. This is what stable diffusion webui uses as the fill option when inpainting. Also "no fence" is wrong, prompts don't work like that. Positive prompts are always the subject. E.g the positive prompt could be something like "a woman with brown hair and blue eyes" then to remove something you'd use a negative prompt being "fence".
So using the photoshop boils down to selecting/deselecting and generating with AI. My recommendation for removing that fence is taking another photo. There is so much generated stuff, this picture and that lady's face may as well no longer be the same thing.
Great tutorial Unmesh. But couldn’t it work to use the Remove tool on the fence selection once you have done that rather than Content Aware fill? What is the reasoning to use Content aware fill (which I thought was older tech) vs just simply removing the fence with Remove tool?
Bro I have CS6, and there's no such thing as generative fill. I was looking to remove such a fence from a photo. I would have been very pleased if you could have done it without the use of AI. Didn't expect that from you. By the way nice video anyway.
A couple things. 1. Manually tracing the obstruction seems very costly. Especially if the obstruction is not aligned to a grid like yours is. 2. You are losing detail from the original when you generative fill the shoulder like that. Especially the shadow which has all of the texture information preserved and you're just deleting it and replacing it with generated texture. You didn't need to do that. All you needed to do was remove the shadow.
What size is your largest PSB file? How many layers does it have? How long does it take to open that file in Photoshop? I ask because I want to upgrade my computer system. Perhaps by knowing your computer specification, I will have an idea of what I need to buy. Thank you.
It's fine as a challenge but the idea of post-production is to improve a well-done photographic job and not try to turn a bad job into an outstanding result.
Right but Photoshop only CAN be used for post, it doesn't have to. You can also use it to create something completely new and this channel is about teaching skills in Photoshop and not about photography or post-production. Its your choice what you'll use those skills for
@@christophkragolnik420 I know, I use Photoshop since version 1.0 in 1990. I Use Photoshop mainly for photo retouching but I have also done a lot of illustration, matte painting, effect layers for video, etc. My comment was that sometimes there is a misconception that everything can be fixed with Photoshop and although it is a very powerful tool and in hands of an operator with good skills, you can achieve truly impressive things, but you have to keep in mind that the hours of work in Photoshop have a cost and that in general starting from good material better results are achieved than starting from bad material and cheaper too.

💯
No more edit. Just generate 🗿
Give it some time

People are attracted and repulsed by technology at the same time, it's the 21st century paradox or whatever 😂
Quick, funny, informative. No wonder you're the photoshop tutorial GOAT.
Clash of cultures here In mine to call someone a goat is very derogatory 🤣😂🤣

You are the Bob Ross of Photoshop!!! Thank you!!!
Agreed
NGL THAT WAS A GOOD ONE
Holy crap that’s exactly what he is haha
Generative fill is magical.
Content aware fill is still a good old friend tho.
Wake-up babe, the photoshop god just uploaded a new video ✅

I never knew you could shift and click to make straight line selections with the brush tool. Mind blown!!

"and even the resolution will be crap" - I don't know why but that really made me chuckle
I commented quick, but you removed the fence quicker
😂
Only if you could unsubscribe to adobe subscription package that quickly 😔
😂

Loved the way you used the paint brush to make a selection. Genius!!!

Another masterclass, in 12 minutes.
Another impossible situation made possible by your knowledge.
remove the fence is easy by creating an entire new photo. really top notch
That’s wonderful Umesh. Please try to do video on 3D text effects or 3D effects in photoshop.
GOAT OF Photoshop
You may want to try it with the pen tool with auto step and stroke. Only takes 3 steps and you're done. Dave Cross liked the approach.
Brother I am fan of your english fluency :D
PIXimperfect is a hero! He saved her. She was trapped for so long. She is finally free!
First PIXImperfect swear! Congratulations Unmesh!

Removing the fence requires skill, and a HIGH level of patience that I would never have 😅
I'm new in Photoshop and your tutorials are just incredible. I'm curious to know, how long would it take to be done when there wasn't AI on Photoshop?
Probably 4 or 5 times longer
You're a literal magician damn...
Wow, this is realy amazing, thank you
Your skills are comforting in this age of AI
That's crazy technique.
Best photoshop God
Thank you!
You are a wizard.
Amazing Bro. 👏
I will just find another one who is not behind the fence!
Amazing Video tho!
2 minutes of silence for those who came here to learn this thing with their old version of photoshop in their computer

Excellent video.
God of Photoshop

Incredible stuff as always! Your content never disappoints! Thank you so much for helping us with these hard image editing tasks.
Outstanding!
One of the most amazing things PS can do with a little bit of elbow grease.
This is the generatively filled Ship of Theseus
Amazing :)
This is so clever
Thanks!
wooow this is so good
This is some medieval level sorcery
King🎉
Please Unmesh can we have a revamped pen tool tutorial 😭🙏🏾
amazing
Maestro!
thank you sir
Genius !
unmesh bro use comfyui, its amazing
That's a very Ship of Theseus type of process.
He is literally showing us how to remove watermarks 😄

I don't use PS often, but I have to watch the video to see how he did it.
Maybe the best way then to select whole image and generate new one? It could be a dragon instead
This confirms I will never take a photo through a fence. it would be easier to tear the fence down HAHA. Thank You>
Herculean tasks are the best tasks
basically theseus ship
GOAT
Next time I'm not getting a Lawyer, it will be YOUUU
At this point, I just gonna ask the model to re-shoot the photo. But, thank you so much for the tutorial.
The remove tool in Ps seems to work OK.
9/16/24 wow, you're handsome genius! Thanks, dude..I'm from the Philippines:)
cool

Tha's not lightroom we use it for drawing and collages too
Photoshop tutorials nowadays: "Just generate fill it!"
real, what's the point of using ps anymore
Now I can add faces to all those masked portraits I took during the pandemic.
True fans know this is a re-upload of the video
Thinking how to do that in Comfyui with imprinting model
