If we protest outside Valve HQ, one of the bot hosters might slip in undetected and start something, making the whole movement look bad
Then be vigilant and prepared to suppress sabotage within legal means. If it’s possible for it to cause you direct harm, you have the right to claim self defense.
I have faith that not even bot hosters would be stupid enough to waste their time and money heading to Seattle to loiter outside an office building.
@@veggielord1740 Bro they spend thousands of dollars ruining a game for people. Do you really think that they wouldn’t burn a few dollars to go to Seattle and ruin a protest?
@@superiornicholas412 I'd hope for them to try, the odds of them getting away in one piece are slim
@@superiornicholas412 I can completely guarantee that they would not bother, especially because the idea itself is inherently silly and time-wasting. You don't need to make a scene to make a bunch of people protesting about a video game look dumb.
The war thunder community did a few of these extremes becaise gyjin was going to ruin the economy and make playing the game even more depressing and opressive. So , we boycotted the game -96% players, we didnt spend a dime on the game, we negative review bombed the liveing day lights out of thier game for a week, and they did listen after a while but its not perfect but they are still improving the game for the players. So that is proof that the extremes can work.
This only worked because War Thunder is gajin’s life line. If every tf2 player stoped spending money that would still leave valve with CS and Dota, and even more importantly Steam. Shit it abandoning tf2 wood likely get valve to stop caring completely.
it's not gonna work tf2 economy were dominate by bot even if the player gone bit are still here and valve still get their cut
Pretty much all the positive economy/rp changes have been slowly drained back out of WT, or the increase in gains/difference after several patches has been drastically reduced.
War Thunder's protesting barely worked. The WT playerbase should really do what the Tarkov players have done and they should just cobble together/mod/host their own better version of the game. It's being run by horrible people who have been confirmed on-record as hating their own paypig playerbase anyways, and the vast majority of the work being done on the game is being accomplished by 3rd parties who clearly aren't enjoying the spoils of their work. One of the biggest and most fundamental aspects of the game, the models, are done by a 3rd party company of some sort for reference.
So that's a bad example to use unfortunately. What the Tarkov players are doing, that's a real success story. The offline mod with a co-op mod on top of it is a superior product compared to the current version of the paypig $250 "official offline co-op" mode.

The existence of Deadlock makes this situation much worse.
Valve working on Deadlock indicates that they have no intention of fixing TF2.
In fact, letting things continue as they are is probably in Valve's best interest.
If Deadlock doesnt end up being another artifact-like flop and performs pretty well, then it'd not only be competing with other team shooters on the market but TF2 as well, their own game.
Letting the bot crisis drive the game into the dirt would not only remove part of their competition but it would circumvent a PR nightmare as they wouldnt be directly killing the game themselves.
Sorry for the yap wall, just wanted to share my two cents on it all
#FixTF2 This is absolutely fucking embarassing on the MULTI-BILLION dollar company's part, and the fact that Valve is so content with legitimate CRIME being commited within their game is genuinely fucking despicable.

More than any other reason revealing the bot hosters' identities would probably be ineffective because they're likely Russian and uh... I feel like the Russian law enforcement won't really want to help Americans out at the moment...

Exactly

They would be forced to interact and likely Disavow / Punish the TF2 Community if it were to stoop to potentially illegal methods.
Just because they barely engage with the community doesn’t mean they won’t instantly snap to the fear of possible legal repercussions. (Especially if the wrong person gets hurt.)

Bringing the physical signatures is a great idea. But a whole protest with signs and chanting and stuff at valve's hq over a game, it just doesn't feel right if that makes sense
Alright, what do you expect Valve to do? Give me some ideas for how to fix the bot problem, have any?
The source leak would be a problem
Remember that time people protested L4D2 in front of Valve HQ? We should do that for FixTF2.

that wasn't the point, the point was valve having a problem with it. We NEED to be more civilized, we NEED to be the better side of this conflict if we want valve to listen, otherwise, to Valve , we are just a toxic community fighting amongst ourselves.

Good news guys, I looked on the tf2 store page on steam and on the recent reviews it says: mostly negative. So that’s some good news
The people who have the bots needs to be put on trial and be sentenced for their crimes
- Asks for majority opinion on exposing Bot Hosters
- Majority approves it
- Still refuses it as a means
Yeah. It’s a shame really
it's illegal 🤓
I like how he says if we did that valve wouldnt engage with us. Dude they dont engage with us now, nothing would change.
And the thing is they have done worst such as swatting
did you watch the video
What I don't understand is that these bots leave links to click for using to then get hacked. We have all these huge counter-hackers on youtube. Is it not possible to get one of these big names to trace these hacks and report them to authorities? They practically leave their fingerprints all over servers.
#. SAVETF2 IS FAILED IMAGINE DUDE
Boycotting does nothing with a company that does not listen or care.
Criminals do not have any right whatsoever, not even from crimes against humanity. Why are we even giving even the slightest hint of mercy or soft handed approaches towards these people?
*Mercy to an enemy cannot come at the cost of mercy for their victims*
An extremely thought through and well presented video. Thewhat, if this doesnt work, know that you have our respect for trying very very hard. Good luck with the physical delivery. Look forward to seeing it happen somehow.
I'm doing my part!
- Signed the petition when it was fresh.
- Haven't bought anything in TF2 in forever, hell I barely played in the last month.
- Just left a negative review, gone in depth of me and the communities frustration.
I was addiction to the game for a good few years back in Feb. 2015. I had a blast and remembers those moments with joy, and I don't want it to end here.

Boycotting might not cause the servers to shut down,
It still very could cause Valve to say “well it seems this isn’t making money anymore” and stop supporting the game, keeping the servers up but just moving from the game to other games
Stop supporting the game how, exactly? The game's completely overrun with bots that they aren't doing anything about. They've been working on their other games and are developing a brand new one as we speak. The potential outcome you're describing looks a lot like the current state of the game.
