Over all the result with this yarn and the Sentro are still a 50/50 chance for me. You can test out the *thinner* colors in the series though to see if they're compatible with your machine. What other yarns do you want to see tested on the Sentro? Let me know in the comments below!

I’d like to see if chenille types of yarn would work 🙂

I have not had any success with this yarn! For some reason its way too sticky in my 48 pinner. Even switching up the tension, no luck.

Yeah, I'm still a skeptic on it myself but I have been able to get it to work on the 22 and 32 so far.

Like you I was excited to get rid of my RH stash but my Jamit (the red/black square 48 pin) does not like this at all. It's far too splitty. I have one needle that doesn't sit as flush as the others, and will constantly cause tuck stitches and dropped stitches. My work around is to mark off the needle, and when I get t that one I use my finger and push it in a bit so the yarn catches properly. Other yarns like KP Brava I can zip through without being mindful.

This yarn did not work for me.

Yeah, it doesn't work out for me either. It's a real hit or miss

Hmm. I was hoping to use rh in this machine.
Now im doubting the whole thing bc of comments :(

Yeah, Super Saver and this machine tend to not get along. Some people have found hacks to get it to work so maybe troubleshoot with that. Otherwise, there are other light 4 weights that work in this machine such as lion brand pound of love.

I am experiencing tucked stitch. But I am trying to soften my skeins by soaking in vinegar and hair conditioner or fabric softener. Rinsing, and drying. We have to wait for results.

Would this yarn cause the stitches to bunch? Thats what mine is doing

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  8 месяцев назад

For me, it does. There are some colors that work out in the machine but most will give you tucked and bunched stitches

Maybe a dumb question, but would pre-washing help?

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo

Honestly, I wouldn't know. I might try that though!

In my experience, pre washing makes it easier for the yarn strand to come apart, catching incorrectly on the machine & skipping stitches

This yarn hates my Sentro! Tried numerous projects and end up just giving up with TONS of tucked stitches. Does not work period. Wasted time/yarn and much frustration. 😢

Unfortunately, that's not uncommon. Some people have "hacked" this yarn to work with the machine. I haven't personally and have had a similar experience to yours. Lion Brand Basic Stitch works in the machine though as an alternative if you're looking for one.

Yes, Lion Brand works great! I love the Mandala series, but some of them are a bit too thick. Caron Simply Soft is a dream… but the projects are sooo soft they sometimes lack the shape that I can get with Lion Brand. Same with Yarn Bee. Works great, super soft, but tend to be heavy and “floppy” but I buy the most of these 3: anything Lion, Caron, and Yarn Bee. Others I have a problem with are Big Twist and and I Love This Yarn (but my machine doesn’t).
