    The Sentro (48 needles) has 2 additional needles than the Addi King Size (46 needles).
    The 48 needle Sentro has a counter to help you keep up with your rows of knitting.
    I own the Addi Pro, Addi King size and the Sentro machines circular knitting machine;
    along with 8 flatbed knitting machines. The Sentro 40 needle machine does not have
    a counter.

      I'm soo excited to use mine I hope , it's not broke, , I wonder why 1 machine has a counter and the rest don't, I think they should all have one, interesting

      @@tracyshelton5599 : It would be nice if they did. I often wonder if there is some design reason why there is not a counter on the smaller Sentro. The 22 pin Addi has a counter.

    Thank you so much! I’ve been frustrated with the proper tension for casting on and have suffered tooooooo many dropped stitches within the first couple of rows. Your tip of using a slip knot to start is a game changer. I had to stop cranking after 20 rows to give you positive feedback🎉. Thanks!

I have checked out and they were very annoying. too much hand movement around and basically talking with her hands. you took your time step by step and I really appreciate it. I'm trying to teach my granddaughter who is 9 years old and she really loved your video. she understood your video more than others that she tried to watch. thank you so much for taking your time. Thank you for using a color other than white or pink! I watched other videos where they did and I couldn’t see where the yarn was positioned and ended up sitting after a few turns of the crank. My daughter gave me a Sentro and when I tried to cast, the result was my yarn coming off from the machine. Three times and I was getting frustrated. After watching your video with brightly colored yarn I finally get the yarn cast correctly and the start of a hat.

    Your instructions are so helpful. I was struggling to get started and ready to scrap it. I did learn prior that it can be helpful to cast on using waste yarn making it helpful for getting good tension then switch to preferred yarn. After casting off you can pick up with a circular needle the stitches at the brim to complete edge. I am wanting to use this machine to make the chemo hats faster than by hand. Nice colorful ones for the kiddies.

    • @InfinitiCraftingCo
      @InfinitiCraftingCo  Год назад

      That is such a good cause! I definitely like to knit brims onto these hats nowadays. Sometimes you still may need to add stitches though because hand tension is a lot different from that of the machine.

    • @cindyosborne8851
      @cindyosborne8851 8 месяцев назад

      Over the years I have been making chemo hats with the rolled rim by hand. Very helpful to relax with. After 60 years I still look at my hands which is a benefit. Can't think and knit at the same time or be snacking all evening. Doing them with a Sentro will speed up the process for sure.

    I’m jealous. I bought a Sentro on Amazon but I did not receive the model I asked for and to boot it was already used because who had it before me used 2 skeins and made a tube and left it in there with the wrappers. I’m returning it too much noise in cranking. I did try it out to see how it works. I can tell right off the bat it was not friendly with red heart yarn but then again this was a Santro. Who knows how or how the first person treated it. I tried it to see if I would like it and I found it was fun. When I get my refund from Amazon then I will try again. Thanks for your video.

    When you take the knitting off the machine, you need to pull it lengthways because it has been stretched sideways by the machine. You will then close up the stitches like they should be....and your knitting will be considerably longer and nice and springy!

      I'm so glad that this video helped! Yeah, the unfortunate thing about this machine is that it hates red heart super saver 😅 There's a link to one of my blog posts in the description that runs down a list of yarns that work with the sentro. I also have a playlist of tutorials for this machine on my channel: ruclips.net/p/PLAEm6kOxgpdTstVdZQKETAT572sC3ZXou
      Thanks for watching and happy making!

      I'm glad I could help! The instructions I got with the machine were so vague, I had to start doing videos on the machine, it was such a struggle 😅

    You said you’d add the yarn kind and color in the description. Couldn’t find it. Help! Loved the yarn.
    Random thought. You have very pretty hands. I see a lot of tutorial videos and so many have bad manicures or dirty nails. Your hands are beautiful. God gifted you!

    Thank you so very much for the very detailed instructions!! I have 2 machines of sentro - 1 was delivered MONTHS after I ordered it - and I am just now going to start trying to make hats and tube scarves for the homeless in our city in time for tge winter. I am a knitter but that takes me FOREVER!!
    1 question I have is how many rows should a regular hat be?
    Thank you.

    • @fidgetgirl5993
      @fidgetgirl5993 3 года назад +1

      Baby-1yr old: about 25-30 rows
      Toddler: about the same as a baby, maybe more
      Tweens and teens: 30-35 rows
      Women: 32- 40 rows
      Men: 38-45 rows
      I hoped this helped!

    • @mctron22rd
      @mctron22rd Год назад

      If you live in a colder climate, you can double the rows say for example: 40 rows to 80 rows and crochet or knit the top and double up your yarn for a warmer hat. It's like wearing a warmer hat. I did make hats where I live but it's to hot in the fall to wear them if they are doubled up.

    Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you do a double wall beanie you can hide this edges better without having to crochet. There are several good videos on it on RUclips.

      Oh for sure! I've done other videos on hats with different methods. I think my favorite way is doubling up the brim on my beanies now.
