What I've learned with knitting machines is that you should have your first and last five rows with waste yarn to avoid the wonky edges. When you're done with your main panel, simply unravel the waste yarn.
Excellent! I am so happy that your interested in crochet and knitting. And you do it so well. I learned from my grandmother and now I am 62. Vids like yours are awesome.
You can fix dropped stiches and it's pretty easy. There are a few videos on using a crochet hook to bring the stiches up to the top, it's called laddering up. The yarn is beautiful. And waste yarn will help you achieve the neat stiches you are looking for.
You did so great! You absolutely did make that sweater, so don't hesitate to take credit for your work! Even though it was on a knitting machine, it still takes skill and know-how! I watched your video to the end, and you are so cute and have a positive attitude. I love it! I subscribed to your channel. I'm curious if you have stayed with it as this was filmed a year ago. So I'll be looking for more videos from you. Great job again! 🥰
Great job! You might be able to stop the rolling at the bottom by steam blocking your new sweater. You can use a fabric steamer or if you have an iron with a steam setting this will work too. The steam helps to loosen up the fiber. 😊
I love when I create and crochet because it’s hand made every top and design will not be “neat” it’s unique in its own way. So don’t be hard on yourself 🌟
Sirdar Jewelspun yarn is so pretty. I plan on making a sweater for my friend. The color scheme is gonna beige and white. Making a mini dress or skirt would be so cute.
hey, can you please drop a video how to make a sweater you are wearing in this video? it’s super cuuute! i’m the beginner at crocheting and i would looove to watch a tutorial like this (: love you!💞
Your sweater turned out really cute! You did a great job especially when you consider it was the first sweater you made. Pretty impressive! First time watching, enjoyed your video! I’ve subscribed.
Both sweaters are super cute, the one you knitted in the video and the one you are wearing on day one that you crochet. Do you have a video on the one you are wearing that you crotcheted?
Hey just wondering, I love the colors u used. What yarn was it and how many did u use? Also I want to order one but I don’t know what size sentro u used. Did u use the 48 sized one or 40.
Your camera is fine. A rib stitch would be nice at the bottom. I guess for a medium or large you would add extra panels. I have a Addi and the panel is still intimidating, I haven’t used it yet. Great job on your sweater it looks good on you.
What id definitely wouldnt skip is wet blocking =) would stop your sweater edges from rolling up. Improving overall look of your work. Stunning colors by the way
Great Job on the video! I admire your energy to jump in with such a big project! Way braver than I. I was also admiring your crocheted sweater. It is so cute. What pattern did you use?
Just curious where you get your variegated yarn and how much it is also new subscriber to the channel here to learn how to use my knitting machine. I just wanna say as a person who also nits by hand these knitting machines drastically decreased the time in which it takes you to make a sweater, it can take me up to a week to make a sweater and make a hat so this is definitely a game changer as I have arthritis
Your sweater came out so nice and it looks good on you. I hope you don't have any problems with that dropped stich on the back panel. I watched a video and the lady said that with a dropped stitch, the work could start unraveling top to bottom. I hope I'm wrong about that. I hope to see more of your work, it's inspiring me to get a knitting machine.
Crochet around the neckline and bottom to even it up. The bottom is rolling b/c it’s the straight stitch. You can’t stop it from rolling unless you crochet a bit on the bottom. You can even do a a several inches of a decorative crochet stitch.
Oh I hate you.... hey only kidding, I so want to learn how to crochet but have never found a good enough tutorial that needs to be so simple that even I could follow it. 😊 I love your jumper and well done for making it. I am so excited to do a jumper (Australian word for sweater) I have the king size Addi which is 46 needles, but I can't imagine 2 needles making that much of a difference. 😊 thank you so much for making and sharing this video. You did HAND MAKE it, and it looks great, you have inspired me to make my own jumper.
I’m proud of you! 😂 i have to learn and buy that machine! So that next time i can be proud of myself!😅 i love the fit in you! Can you have a video on body measurements and knitting measurements?
omg this video was so cool and helpful my sentro knitting machine is coming next week and im gonna try and do this!!! any tips u have that aren't in the video? also LOVE the sweater!!
If you want to continue with this, look up some tutorials on casting off knitting. You can even use a crochet hook to do it. Just pulling one long thread through the live stitches isn't casting off, and won't really ever look good 🤣 Otherwise, very nice piece!
I'm seriously considering getting one of these, so your video is a great help. Thank you! Also, do you have a pattern for the crochet sweater you are wearing at the start of the video? I love it!
It looks so good. I tried making one today and stopped to measure at 80 rows then got some dropped stitches on the edge and close to the edge O_o I tried to fix them but wound up pulling it all out. I'll try again tomorrow ♥
I have seen a few videos with cable knit on a rotary knit machine. I havent done it but you could search for one. My Sentro box had a picture of a pillow with cables on it, so I plan to try it.
I have trouble with casting off a panel or tube and not making them so tight, like when I cast off, there’s the string that you casted off with a needle, but what do I do for it to still be elastic when i knot it?
I had that issue too, you just have to pull it looser. Sometime the string kind of gets “stuck” and it’s hard to pull it but if you just kind of work the yarn section by section, you can pull it so that it’s loose and stretchy. hope that makes sense
@@anna-greene yeah! Thankyou. I do that and then stretch as much as I can so that when I knot it, it stretches to its maximum capacity, but my model I use still tells me it’s tight on her. Maybe the sentro only makes pannels for petite girls haha. She did have a larger chest, so I’ll make the jumpers for smaller girls instead and hand knit jumpers for her size
Hello! The sweater turned out sooo lovely! I don't have a knitting machine and wanted to hand knit something like this, how many stitches did you cast one for the front/back panels? I'm having troubles figuring that out 😭
Did you have any issues with the neck hole being uncomfortably tight after crocheting around it? I feel like my neck hole lost all its stretch after crocheting but maybe I'm doing it wrong.. Loved this vid and the colors are so pretty!
i was worried about that but I used a larger hook and made sure to do a few extra stitches here and there so it wasn’t too tight. but i’ve made a few more since this video and just focus on making the beginning and end of the panels look neat and tidy so I don’t have to clean it up at the end with the crocheting!
What I've learned with knitting machines is that you should have your first and last five rows with waste yarn to avoid the wonky edges. When you're done with your main panel, simply unravel the waste yarn.
With that, you can hand knit afterwards whatever hem you want! Love this!
this is so great, I'm learning just from reading everyone's comments. I love the RUclips family!😀

Hi, this is great to know, do I search for "laddering up" to find these videos? 😊

Agreed and maybe a couple more rows of double Crochet would help the hem to sit
You can also make a hem by doubling the knit fabric back on itself.
I love when I create and crochet because it’s hand made every top and design will not be “neat” it’s unique in its own way. So don’t be hard on yourself 🌟

it seriously is so gorgeous! let me know how your sweater goes :)
Your end result is 100% utterly divine thank you❤❤❤❤
There are different techniques to enable a perfect finish. You’ll get there. Don’t give up ❤
I really recommend the waste yarn method!!! It makes it look so much cleaner
Hi❤ really loved the video.
I just had a question, is there a size limit to it? Can i make sweater for ppl with bigger sizes than what you made here?

Great work. That's a pretty sweater. I would have put single crochet's around the edges, too.
Makes me so excited to use my hand dyed yarns to do this 😃
your like one of the best crochet channels that I watch❤🎉 happy new year!
this means so much, thank you for watching!! happy new year :)

can you change the needle size? like... is it only one size needle option?
It’s beautiful! What yarn did you use? Did that one ball make the entire sweater?
You need to get sponsored by sentro because you just sold me on that machine
hahahaha
same here! I just ordered one 😂
Much better I love your sweater very unique
how many needles is on this sentro knitting machine ?? so i know which one to order. also love this tutorial ❤
If you click down to her description she has a link of the exact one she ordered 😊 but she used the 48 needle one ❤

How did you make the sleeves?? How wide did you make ?
35 stitches

I really wish I had the stuff to make that. Keep it up 👍

looks amazing
The trick to not losing stchest is doing 4or 6 rows of scrap yarn. I've learned it is a lot better no drop stitches
Beautiful! Thank you!
How do you set machine to width of panel you want?
how did you crochet that top? it’s gorgeous!
thank you!! I followed it’s erin b’s raglan sweater tutorial on youtube :)
@@anna-greene thank you!!!
I love your sweater do you know how to do ribbing?? It would make your sweater fit better ❤️❤️❤️
U have to have at least 4 pegs not casted on, because when you come around it’s lifting the peg with the yarn on the other end of your panel

thank you! it’s called “counter tally count”
How do you make this jumper without the knit machine? Do you have a pattern?

@@anna-greene how many skeins did you need for the sweater? i apologize if you said it in the vid and i missed it😭

@@anna-greene thank you!!! good to know :)
How did you do the sleeves that thin? Was it using the panel setting and not going the full 48 stiches?
yep, I did 35 stitches wide and 100 rows long
How far would I knit if I'm making a XXL sweater?
Is it possible that the panel for the arm is too long? I made 125 rows and the final product is really long only on the arms😢
Love it, how many hours you spent on this cardigan? Is it possible to knit chords with that machine
this probably took 5 or so hours total but I’m getting faster at it!
