A tip to make removing cast on edge waste yarn easier, is to do 1 extra row in a separate waste yarn after the main waste yarn and before starting your project yarn. Join the separate waste yarn at the end of the row, not the start of the row so you can join the project yarn at the start of the row. To remove the cast on waste yarn when knitting is off the machine, pull a loop of the 1 row waste yarn from the centre of the row so that the ends come through the knitting. Once pulled through and out of the knitting, the waste yarn just comes off without having to fiddle about. Lovely top and well done.
I was thinking the same thing, I think all you will need to change is the length of the 2 front panels. Basically make them the length of of your body, the rest should be fine you wont need to change the sleeves :) hope this helps
I just picked up the blue version on the sentro machine and I cant wait for it to come. I've seen so many others use it to make pretty much anything with it and this sweater is super cute. Maybe add the pink trim to the bottom as well? Thank you for the video ☺️
lol so funny I am trying to make a cardigan on a sentro 48 needle machine and I ended up with the sleeve about the size of yours ... the sleeve is twice my size .. hahahaha. , but still you worked hard so dont despair..
i’m very confused about the first part, since we’re using tube setting how can i use only these hooks? and also i didn’t understand how to do it exactly because the first part was skipped :( so sad i can’t make this
Hi lovely! Just a q as I'm thinking of getting a sentro. Is it possible to create more fitted garments e.g. with smaller waist and larger bust? Or can you only really control that with the type of yarn you use? Thanks!
You can increase and decrease on the machine (it is a little finicky, I'm still perfecting it myself), so I think more fitted garments are a definite possibility !
Unhook the waste yarn and put it in the middle space of the machine. Then leave yourself ~6-8 inches of project yarn out and hook it under the first pin and put it on the yarn holder / tension and once everything is hooked on you can just crank as normal !
I made arms using the tubing method, 2 panels for the front and back and just seamed them together! then I stitched the front and back to where I wanted it to fit on my shoulders and made the offshoulder bit in 3 panels to fit! it is really annoying putting all the panels together and you can see the seams.
Ive been curious abt how to make this with the sentro and watching ur totorial my conclusion kind of is that u could just make the body panel longer and attach the sleeves 30 stitches down from the top, anybody have any thoughts on if thats stupid or what cause this isnt making sense to me😭
Hmm I think that would only work if you are small enough to fit that size. I created an additional off shoulder panel to go over my whole body circumference, if that makes sense?
just a note for anyone who’s making this top, doing a single crochet instead of a slip stitch to finish your panel helps keep a lot more stretch!
Great tip!
You are the only one who shows everything up close i had been trying to figure out how to do the crochet stitch and was stuck😭. Thank you so much!

as soon as i go backwards after the skipped part of the video, my whole piece falls apart
So cute, how much yarn did it take to make?
Thank you !! 💜💜 I used just under 2 hanks of the Berroco Vintage dk yarn. Around 200 g / 576 yd !
Hi quick question why do you skip every other one ? I’m new and just learning lol

@@yaejiyea ahh okay, tysm!!💓
Could I do this with a 40pin?
Nvm I brought a 48pin just so I can do this😭
approximately how many yards of yarn would this use?
my front and back panels: 39 pins and 76 rows
what size are you generally?
this was definitely not beginner friendly😭but she didn't brand it as that so I do not blame her
What is your clothing size? XS?
👍
Molto carino !!!!!! Speriamo che non ti prendi un malanno con le spalle scoperte . Ciao un bacio di ❤ dall' ' Italia

Does anyone know a similar pattern using crochet or knitting needles?
do i have to wet and block my work??
I definitely recommend it! After making these garments, I hand wash them, dry with a towel, and lay flat to dry.
is it okay to wash and block after you seam the panels together?
Yes ! Just make sure it fits you, and make sure not to wring the garment otherwise it will stretch
im a size 8 uk and these measurments were wayy to small for me, the size of her jumper is probably 2/4 uk
good tutorial tho
how would i make this in a xxl size ?

Can I ask how many millimeters of wool you use?
What yarn do your use!???!
This is the berroco Vintage dk yarn ! One of my faves 💖
How did you get a panel if you used the tube selection?
Just don’t go all the way around go backwards x
Thank you. I haven't used my machine except for a test swatch.
Lost my suction cups
