I love how creative you guys get, Happy Father's day to you and all the fathers out there. Keep the Doctoring coming to us. I'd love to see and hear more of this music song communication 😅
Just stumbled across Taryl and my goodness what a character. This is like hanging out at my Uncle Tim’s garage but my uncle doesn’t know shit about being a mechanic… he’s a woodworker.
I worked as a Mechanic in the Local Garage in the late 70's and throughout the 1980's and until the owner retired and when 5pm came he always said, "It's time to wind up the cat, throw the clock out and go home" !!!! LOL!!!!!!!
I would trade my grandmother's soul to own an exquisite PowrMax garden tractor! The SimpleCity PowrMax 4041 and 9020 were absolute beasts of burden and considered by most to be the largest garden tractor ever made! They were practically a subcompact before subcompacts existed. I mean it's impressive size makes that nice Wheel Horse in the background look like a limp wristed soy boy!
Hi Teryl, like your channel btw. { It sounds like there a fan going in the background, thats good; hope it is circulating some outside air.} You seem quite knowledgeable regarding small engines, and you have this way about you. I was wondering if you can remember any significant experiences in the garage that you ight have had at a very early age.
Of all the things I expected to see, it wasn't dozens of lovingly butchered songs by a couple of hillbilly lawnmower mechanics and an odd old feller named after a type of shoe.... This video deserves a like!
I loved the skit! I chuckled more than I have in months! I give it 17 thumbs up and a Q+! Oh, and great work on that ancient beast of a mower Taryl. ~Honk~
How fitting to hear a cut from “Led Zeppelin II” which is what I usually listen to on my Sony Walkman while mowing the lawn. Nice shout out Slippers to Spooky Tooth no less!😮
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I learn a LOT from you. I spend my time bringing old stuff back to life or repurposing small engines. BTW did you ever pick up that three pack of hose pliers from Harbor Freight that I called you about last year ?
That is probably a CCKB. I have owned one of these tractors since 1980. Bought it used when I was in high-school. I have mowed many acres with it to make money back then. I have not run it for about 10 years after I broke a spindle. Mine is the yellow and tan colors. Unfortunately, the block/pistons are worn out. It burns about 1 quart of oil per tank of gas. Fouls the plugs frequently.
Happy Father's Day Taryl. , I'm liking the rock song references intro. What's up with that wheel horse ? Do a video on it next if you can...Rock on grass rats
Tyralbhow do you do these videos with a straight face(teeth), love the humor and great knowledge from learning from you, i would never keep a straight face neing around you, but always appreaciate you all , HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO YOU SIR, GOD BLESS, LOVE YOUR ENTERTAINMENT, i could never watch anothers videos being boring, love your content, thanks
Had one of those beasts before. Trying to get Onan parts was insane. Finally gave up and sold it. Somebody's prior work messed it up..at least got my money back and a bunch more guy who bought it completely restored it..really looked sweet
I went an"d" (edit) seen SRV & Jeff Beck together in concert, I believe it was the next year SRV was killed in an airplane accident. Probably one the top concerts I've ever witnessed.
Taryl, As a long time subscriber, I must admit the beginning and end of this one was very painful! Very painful! Did you notice that the clamp on the fuel hose to the filter was not over the barb of the filter?
That crap in the carbitraitor could be regular Teflon tape not for fuel which can turn into a glob like boogers! Unlike the proper yellow kind. Good video Tarryl.
Happy Father's Day to ALL! I was wondering when You might get the grass scraper back in stock? Also, where did You get that red knife, I saw the link on one of your vids, but I forgot which one we were watching. Every day after work my nephew and I watch a couple of your skits, we look forward to it. I have learned so much from your channel over the years on how to fix my own equipment and helped out others too. I can't wait for my tractor cover to get here, just cleaned and polished my old 09 Ariens lawn tractor up and got a new seat cover. There's Ur dinner!
Onan - now that's a brand I haven't heard of for years. Never had much experience with them myself, but if memory serves, my father held them in high regard.
Actually Simplicity built tractors for AC. Allis-Chalmers didn’t build any of their own mowers until the 300/400 series in the late 70’s. After that, they went back to Simplicity.
Man first part of this skit reminds me of bagging at the commissary.. This was one of our cashiers Gary could do this all day long.. and at 16 at the time no internet only way to catch them was radio or go buy the record or tape .. including 8 tracks.. which I had to listen to in Dads Vette :) .. records regular cassettes betamax and laser disc so many different sounds to diffrent media ..
Hey Taryl... I was chatting with Blademan and Throttle yesterday. They were wondering how the Rat Cave shop addition was going. Seems they're getting anxious about moving in due to their sub lease on a portion of the Bat Cave at Wayne Manor expires Sept 1, 2024. How about a brief update on the Rat Cave progress. BTW... Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there👍.
That was great singing or trying to sing classic rock songs! 😂 If you do something like that again Include a Springsteen song like Born to Run or badlands or Darkness on the edge of town or Prove it all Night . Great songs by Bruce and I'm a big fan of his.
The good old days of being mechanical instead of electrical. I miss those days. Y’all listen to the same music I do. Classic Rock and Yacht Rock. I do like “Changes” also.

you should do a fuel experiment with canned fuel and see which one is the best.
The clog was a hair off a elephants butt
It taint got no gas in it….mmmhmmm…
Happy Father's Day Taryl and to all the other Grass Rats out there!!!
Happy Father's day to all, hope the day is good to ya.

Should've told slippers to..."walk on home boy!!" 🤘
I love how creative you guys get, Happy Father's day to you and all the fathers out there. Keep the Doctoring coming to us. I'd love to see and hear more of this music song communication 😅
Love the musical references! Rock on!
Having a sharp eye and being thorough is one reason why TD is a first class mechanic. I'm just a little surprised the fuel filter wasn't replaced.
This was certainly one of the most entertaining sketches ever. Thanks guys.
Just stumbled across Taryl and my goodness what a character. This is like hanging out at my Uncle Tim’s garage but my uncle doesn’t know shit about being a mechanic… he’s a woodworker.
That was the BEST video intro ever! Thanks for the laughs. Hope y'all are living it up on Father's Day!
15:30 Those are carburetor stones, very common in the older patients
Haha😂, I get it! Luckily Taryl surgically removed them instead of the poor tractor having to pass them!
I worked as a Mechanic in the Local Garage in the late 70's and throughout the 1980's and until the owner retired and when 5pm came he always said, "It's time to wind up the cat, throw the clock out and go home" !!!! LOL!!!!!!!
They just keep getting better.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL OUT THERE , FROM ALABAMA.
Social Distortion! One of my favorites. That was a great medley.
I was surprised you didn't replace the fuel filter. I guess the problem source was beyond the filter anyway...HAPPY FATHER'S DAY Teryl!

Instant classic sketch!! Definitely put a smile on my face many times. Great work guys thank you
You guys must have burst out laughing a hundred times when making this. Good job!!
Great work guys!! Looked a few of those songs up and liked them!
GREAT skit. Loved the "misheard lyrics" at the start as well...

Great video, Taryl, but don't forget to move that hose clip on the inlet of the fuel filter back where it should be!
good lookin tractor, I like the head lights especially.

"Brakes are good, tires fair." "Told my girl I had to forget her, rather buy me a new carbatrator"
That made my day fellas. I laughed all the way thru breakfast. Damn near choked a couple a times!!😂
Happy Daddy’s day to you’all.

Had one of those beasts before. Trying to get Onan parts was insane. Finally gave up and sold it. Somebody's prior work messed it up..at least got my money back and a bunch more guy who bought it completely restored it..really looked sweet

One of the best skits yet! y'all can't sing for crap, but that made it even better. I'm smilin,' (KIrk Franklin).
Happy father's day
Such greatness! Love the "play"list!
Taryl, As a long time subscriber, I must admit the beginning and end of this one was very painful! Very painful! Did you notice that the clamp on the fuel hose to the filter was not over the barb of the filter?
Should have changed the fuel filter out when you did the carb! I had a paper element filter come apart and the fibers plugged the seat!
That crap in the carbitraitor could be regular Teflon tape not for fuel which can turn into a glob like boogers! Unlike the proper yellow kind. Good video Tarryl.
That was funny. I loved the songs. Nailed it.
Dolly Parton wrote and sang the song" i will always love you"

Me myself and I I would’ve flushed the gas tank out and put a new fuel filter in. That’s the right way of doing it. Great video as usual.👍
That was a great drag well done !
Onan - now that's a brand I haven't heard of for years. Never had much experience with them myself, but if memory serves, my father held them in high regard.
Please do not ever let Slippers sing again. My eyes are bleeding!
hi Junior glad your back
Happy father’s day
I cracked up with mick jagger impersonation. 😂😂😂
My wife picked me up one of your 10mm glasses from benshot, I love it it’s awesome, now il never loose that 10mm again.

Must be a new batch of 'shine' from the hills.
Awesome video yall 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
Happy Belated Fathers Day! That was an enjoyable skit! I knew most of the songs!
Old school mowers are fun to have a look at. Since many of them are NAPA (Never are parts available)... it's fun to see the solutions.
Thank GOD I had just swallowed a mouthful of coffee BEFORE I saw Taryl saying "Intake...Exhaust..."
I might have fatally aspirated! HAHAHAHAHA
Yes sir. Sprocket Doctor saves another smoking choking automobile !!
Happy Fathers Day y’all from Tennessee.
My mind is shot after this one. Wow! LOL
I've never worked on an Onan but seems to be good small engines. They ran generators in a bunch of motorhomes in the past .
