2001 lawnboy duraforce lawn mower, this is a machine i was repairing today and yesterday. the machine needed a new ignition coil, fuel system needed to be cleaned and carb needed to be rebuilt.
I have a Duraforce that I picked up in unknown condition. I checked compression at 120 PSI. I put seals in and sealed the case. I could see some bluing around the crank. I think it has been well used. I've mowed with it a few times. It is using a lot of fuel. I have another Duraforce and this one uses a lot more fuel. I have had trouble with it acting like it is running out of gas after mowing awhile. It also seems like it is running faster than normal. It will idle down, but it seems to want to go full throttle, until you move it down to idle. What do you think? I have been through the carb, but have not messed with the governor.
