This is gold. 1. Jason's surprise and excitement when he gets it is awesome (same with Brian's surprise) 2. When he doesn't quite get it, Jason is sad in just the right way. 3. The performance at the end is incredibly impressive, and somehow better because Brian is on mic for it and is quietly, proudly losing it.

The Modern Rogue revels in failure and mistakes. They don't do this for ultimate success. If there were failed attempts, they would have absolutely included them. Just as they always have. If anything, Jason's immediate success is almost disappointing, impressive though it is.
Jason certainly has gone a long way in his fire control in the 2 years since he nearly lit my face on fire with an explosive balloon. That was a fun weekend. :D
This was awesome! It showed just how much of a master Brian is at this and it showed Jason is hilarious even when worried/distracted. That improvised Twice the Flame was badass!

brians teaching style is so underrated, ever since i started watching scam school ive stolen his style when teaching anyone anything and i always get compliments on how good my teaching is lol its the best feeling when you say something weird that clicks with the person and theyre like "oh shit, i can do it now!"

This may be my favorite Modern Rogue episode ever. From Brian's delight at Jason's savant-like twirling, to Jason's obvious nervous excitement at getting into the reality of fire-eating, to the actual performance results and success, to Brian's cackling at the parts that didn't go quite perfectly...so much win here. One thing I never considered with fire-eating: probably not a great idea to have longer facial hair when you do this, right? Edited to add: And, SOOOOO much sweat throughout...and not from the fire. LOL
