You should mention that when you start the pump back up after cleaning you should open the bleeder valve at the top of the filter to let the air escape so you don’t have an air pocket at the top of the filter. Close it after you see water coming out. Similar to what you did at the beginning of your video.
I found this really helpful! Thanks so much for breaking it all down :) I didn't realize the filters were so cheap (Im used to pool store prices) so I just ordered new ones for $169 on amazon. Now I'll have TWO sets. I'll load up the new ones, take my time soaking and cleaning the old ones, then I'll have an off-season set and a high-season set!!! YAY!
Before you open the unit, you need to drain it with a plug at the bottom. Otherwise, when you pull out the cartridges with the water still there, it’ll just clog up the pipes with filth. Otherwise it’s like serving food in unwashed dirty plate.
Another thing I experienced was needing pool seal lubricant.. you have to really make sure you clean the hell out of the seam between the halves, and make sure the rubber seal is in good shape (they're cheap if you need to replace them) and lube them up. I also took some detailed photos of how everything looked coming apart, for when I was putting it all back together... I even marked the distance between the two ends of the metal band do I know how tight it needed to be. I had some serious problems tightening it to the right point where I had zero leaks. Really annoying but worth it.

Thanks for this video helped me
Good video workflow. Thanks.
Thank you for the very informative video...
Very informative! Thanks!
Isn’t there a drain plug on the bottom to wash and drain all the sentiment?
There is no plug under the filter (not that I know of)
yes there is, located under the return (outlet) flow. Pentair placed it at a poor location to get to.
My CCP520 has one, and thats another place you can make sure to use that seal lubricant on to make sure that it closes properly.
Great video thanks
What size pool do you have? My filters look like that after one week. And my filters are half the size of yours
My pool is about 25,000 gallons, here is a good video showing my pool when it was green: ruclips.net/video/2YlUG_okOs8/видео.html
What size are your filter cartridges?
Why not open the drain plug at the bottom?
'exactly
Why didn't you take the drain plug out and rinse the bottom out? It would have been quicker and easier.
Worst job. They are not professional.
