First Look: Make Believe Studio Plugins

- This one is exciting. Make Believe Studios teamed up with Metric Halo to develop these plugins. Three parallel processors, Kevin's Limiter, the impulse response SPES as a plugin, Good Math, and the Sontec MES-432D9D Parametric Eq Plugin.
There's a lot in this bundle and a lot in this video. We'll take a quick look at each plugin quickly and listen to how they sound!

I've been using these the last few days with my Metric Halo interface. I feel the plugins like Good Math or Spres are awesome because you really have to use your ears since you don't know exactly what is going on. I think the magic is in really using your ears. Oh yes and MBEQ is awesome and once you really learn the the keyboard commands, you can literally use the EQ like an instrument. Its what Make Believe wanted to do.

Good Math and Sontec are the business. Kevin's Limiter definitely gives you some loudness, but I got a lot over overs when using it. It's definitely not a brick wall limiter.
Awesome plugins! Just a heads up tho, the Sontec doesn't come with the bundle. It comes with everything else, just not the Sontec.
There are very few perfect videos on RUclips, this is one. Also so glad I am a MH user, can't wait to use these!

Not to be mean but it would be fair to put a gain plug after them to compensate for the volume change, and compare better... cheerss

Good math is just a trim plugin. A $40 trim plugin.

That SO IRONIC! I was literally just researching Metric Halo's interfaces... but their site is so outdated and I can't get anyone one the phone. I'm concerned that if I were to purchase one of their devices that i'd get a deprecating piece of electronics.
Any thoughts on Metric Halo's current electronic releases for recording/mixing?
They make brilliant equipment and you'll be very happy!

They do have demos and you could try them for yourself! Talking optional at that point! haha
