Great video! Yep, I went from 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max and can concur that the battery usage from the Camera is a lot more significant in the 15, the results from the camera are also significantly better though so I guess the extra power draw goes towards something 🤣
The 13 Pro Max is still an iPhone I highly recommend to most people who want flagship iPhone performance without having to pay a high price, it is the Nokia N95 of iPhones, great all rounder/solid phone overall while still getting Pro features. I would happily recommend the 13 Pro Max over the Plus models.

i upgraded from a 13 pm to a 15 pm and I've definitely noticed the battery drain when using the camera for long periods of time. However the overall battery seems much better as some days I'm left with 50 percent in the 15 pm at the end of the day and only 30 percent on 13 pro max.

All 7 iPhones in the video had 100% maximum battery capacity (brand new).
The camera requires significant processing power so it's not surprising that it drains the battery, I was just surprised by how much it did.
It’s bc the 15 pm has a more advanced camera than the other 15’s. Still has good battery which is why the 15 plus had the lead

I've had my 13 Pro Max coming up to 2 years this summer in July. It also happens to be my first iPhone and I was reccomended I get it for the amazing battery life and I haven't been disappointed. But while I'm home on wifi I still use my Samsung galaxy a71 which also helps save the iPhone battery life more.

one of the factor is the screen refresh rate that 15 plus have which makes the battery last long
I’ve had my 14 pro max for almost two years now, sitting at 89% battery health, this phone battery still lasts enough to go the whole day, considering it’s a casual day of course, I love love lovee this phone
Great video and well put the together. Keep in mind the 15 plus wins because the refresh rate is at 60hz. I bet if the refresh rate was lowered on all of the Iphones then the results would be more interesting. I do like the way that these battery tests was conducted.
It is impressive how long these phones last, about time I upgrade from my crappy old samsung with 3 hours of battery.

Amazing content quality. Could you make the same test again on the latest iOS 17.2.1 as it has the battery fix patch for most of the models.?
I upgraded my 15 pro max 17.2.1 which was a apple weird small update. And man dont update to it. This thing suppose to help reduce battery drain but instead it do the opposite. Battery is draining way too quicker. Literally sometimes I had to charge twice at evening.
@@irtezamasud1079 Hi, I have updated my 14 Pro Max to 17.2.1 but I have noticed that it is quite stable and also the battery life has been quite good for me even with 85% battery health remaining. Actually, I recently came from 16.7.2 to 17.2 and later on to the 17.2.1 as initially the overall iOS 17 updates were a mess. Try factory resetting once , you might get the better results.

Production quality is amazing bro, but I’d suggest running the test once more if not with all the phones, with some of them instead using mobile data instead or a mix of both. My 13 Pro Max is great on Wi-Fi, but can drain a tad bit quicker on cellular. Would love to see that some time.

Your content is very professionally produced and presented, better than a lot of other big channels if I'm being honest. The only thing which I would suggest is to tone down the physical gestures while communicating a little, personally it breaks the immersion of an otherwise well conducted study.

Fantastic video! Very interesting because it shows potential use throughout the day. It would be interesting to see if the iPhone 15 pro Max, after updating to iOS 17.2.1 can climb a few positions. I remember that in China and Japan Apple claims that this new version should solve some battery problems. I look forward to a similar video.
Thank you! I think with iOS 17.1.1 the 15 PM already had a significant improvement in battery life and also fixed overheating issues that some users were experiencing with iOS 17.0(.1). Apple tends to improve battery performance throughout the year so it could potentially perform a little better but I don't see it improving by more than 30 minutes for my particular test. And if the battery life improves with future OS updates, it would be reasonable to assume it would also improve for the other phones in this lineup unless Apple specifically fine tunes how the hardware in the 15PM is utilized.
wow! amazing video, but did you use the USB-C type 3 connector on the 15 Pro Max? if not, that’s a little bit unfair because it has a much faster charging ability, but still amazing video!

Welcome to the Pro Max family! I've been using large iPhones since the 6 Plus and have never looked back. Yes it's awkward to hold at times and doesn't fit in all my pockets but the battery life is so much better than regular sized iPhones. In some generations the plus-sized phone also had better cameras so it's guaranteed to be Apple's best iPhone each year. Glad both of you are enjoying the Pro Max life 💯
I got iPhone 15 plus yesterday while my mom and my sister got iPhone 15 pro max. I was kinda jealous because they have a nice phone than me. When I see this video, I was shocked that the iPhone 15 plus have more battery life than 15 pro max. I’m so lucky I have the plus I’m not jealous anymore. Thanks you

Please Try comparing pro max’s on reduce motion(60hz) with their plus models! To get the exact battery results!
Nobody uses 60hz on pro tho
My initial script planned to run the test twice. One where each phone can reach its full potential and a second run where the Pro Motion phones are constrained to 60Hz. I decided against it for several reasons:
(1) Double the time and storage to create the video
(2) Most people who buy the pro phones rarely constrain it to 60Hz. I interviewed several people I know with Pro Maxes and people didn't even know how to disable 120Hz.
(3) If people would regularly constrain to 60Hz, they really should consider the 15 Plus. Legendary battery performance.

I have had pretty much every single Pro Max iPhone since the 11 Pro Max and I can confirm that the 12 Pro Max was the worst when it comes to battery life.
