►Pokémon Emerald Version is a role-playing video game developed by Game Freak, published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. It was first released in Japan in 2004, and was later internationally released in 2005. It is an enhanced version of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and is part of the third generation of the Pokémon video game series.
The gameplay and controls are mostly unchanged from previous games in the series; players control a Pokémon trainer from an overhead perspective. As with previous games, the player's general goal is to traverse the Hoenn region and conquer a series of eight Pokémon gyms in order to challenge the Elite Four and its champion, while the main subplot is to defeat two criminal organizations attempting to harness a legendary Pokémon's power for their own goals. Along with Pokémon that debuted in Ruby and Sapphire, the game incorporated Pokémon from Pokémon Gold and Silver not featured in Ruby and Sapphire in the post-game.

I just did this myself the other day. I was digging around some old stuff in my closet at my parents' house and found my old gameboy advance sp. Its the crappy 1st edition with the side lit screen rather than the back lit one. After replacing the battery, i booted up my old Emerald save and was greeted with a box full of duped Groudons and Rayquazas that i had totally forgotten i had fabricated as a youngster. I now remember how I was the "rare pokemon" dealer at my post-1st grade day-care, and how many friends i had made by trading them one of my unlimited supplies of legendary pokemon.

I totally do that now. I grab my gba sp, so it’s not the old one where you press the button and the light turns off, it’s gets brighter. Anyway, I pulled out my Pokémon sapphire from 2006 and it still works. I want to play these on my switch, think Nintendo will do it?

Started playing Emerald on my mobile.. and all i can say is that i am hooked to it as i was back in 2005. I play without the cheats and stuff. Love it.

I am loving these exploring old files series, this is making me want to play Pokemon (i am playing Omega Ruby now) and this videos are so nostalgic! Reminds me of when i used to play Pokemon all day, sadly my first Pokemon file was on an emulator and i lost it so many years ago. My first pokemon game was Ruby version on an emulator back in 2004 (i remember that was sooo hard to find de rom for this game because it was a new game at the time). My first original game was Soul Silver and i wanna to visit my old files and transfer my Pokemons for a newer game!
6:20 that is supposed to be the reason GameFreak didn't include Battle Frontier in OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire.
the reason is because it wasn't in ruby and sapphire. it was only in emerald
@@rittsuo4584 Battle Resort is not in Ruby and Sapphire, neither. And Battle! (Frontier Brain - Hoenn version) was a song that even wasn't in Ruby and Sapphire.
It was the very Junichi Masuda who said that they didn't put the Battle Frontier in Omega and Alpha it's because it was so hard and just a tiny number of players appreciated and use the facilities. Actually, he even said players nowdays aren't attracted by that kind of "demanding" challenges.
@@rittsuo4584 We can even say that Sinnoh Battle Frontier wasn't in Gold, Silver and Crystal and yet it was in their (GS) remakes.

Thanks Mike for the nostalgia trip, I’ve grown up with Pokémon since the days of the Red and Blue. I loved Emerald so much at the time, still have my copy actually, this makes me want to reminisce with my old Team 💙🕊💙

*Didn't You Know?* This video is actually impossible, because Pokemon Emerald isn't even 14 years old. Pokemon Let's Go Eevee and Pikachu came out in 2018, and that was generation 1.

I’m 16 and I started Pokémon 5 years ago. I started with alpha sapphire, but now I own every game. Emerald is my favorite by far. It’s the only one I’ve played through 20+ times

I know this video is from the last year, but just so you know, pokemon games from fire red/leaf green on don't need a battery to save, so your save file will never be gone, however, ruby/sapphire/emerald have time based events, and the battery inside them is used to keep the clock running.

Ah nostalgia... freaking emerald, the only Pokemon gba game I was able to finish . I have Firered but I got a glitchy copy where the save reverts to the previous file saved so I kinda have to save twice to progress..imagine my horror when after finishing elite four the game would automatically save once..I was doomed to end up at elite four never getting to the post game content 😤.. it's been years and I have never explored the rest of Sevii Islands😢

This is definitely my fav Pokémon game of all time.. The nostalgia this makes me feel is crazy. I even remember my friend stealing my SP with my emerald but I got it back lol

I recently had something similar happen to me. I recently had to move back in with my folks, and exploring in my old room I found my Pokémon diamond with around 700 hours poured into it.

One time I turned on my Emerald on and there were 2 Rayquaza in my party. I wish I knew what I did for that to happen 😂

I started a new game on Emerald last year and I now have 289 hours played. I love breeding and making Pokémon battle ready in the older games.
Also, last year I have bought a GameCube and Colosseum & XD to complete and get the Ho-Oh/Lugia too. Gen 3 is the absolute gem of the series with so much games to connect to eachother.

Man, I had was looking at my 396 hour leaf green account the other day. I had Pokémon from emerald and fire red in there from when I traded and battled with my friends. Nostalgia hit me hard, only to find out that my dad let my younger cousin borrow my gameboy and he wiped it by saving a new game 😭

I'll never forget catching my first legit shiney in emerald, Relicanth Appeared!!! (didnt know why it was baby blue lol) I'm 28 so I been here since the beginning, haven't played the newer games though. My last one was platinum, I miss battling my cousins and friends but damn glad for the memories!

Amazing Spiderman Fan 2002 You can tell because the label is consistently shiny. The real cartridges had a crystal kinda pattern that reflects light at all different angles, like the stickers on icebreakers mints.

my gen 1-2-3 save files are gone. but I still have my pokemon diamond, platinum and soulsilver save files tucked away on my nds lite and boy it was a nostalgic trip.
I have my old pokemon ruby save file from many years ago, I was practically a competitive pro with all 4 of my pokemon and the 6 I had discovered in my pokedex

It's understandable that you only had the Battle Pike symbol. It's technically the first one people go for because it's reliant on RNG and Lucy basically had the easiest team out of all the Brains, besides Greta. Other than that, maybe Noland was the second easiest because it was essentially based on luck.
I wish I had my old Black save, I remember being lost in Relic Castle with half dead Pokemon. I kept reviving Pokemon trying to not black out....
I never escaped, and I never realized I could just black out to get out XD

Same with me, I have my Pokémon sapphire save from 2006 and I still play it today.
Technically there are special versions of Pokemon Colosseum and Xd where one can actually get both a jirachi and celebi. However, these are incredibly rare (if not impossible to find).

I never would have even tried completing the pokedex in gen 3! I did complete the dex in Gold version though. I fired up the game in 2016 and I was amazed that the battery was still good in it. I bought a memory card to back up the save, and I'm so glad I did because the save battery died within a couple weeks after that. I took this as a sign, and I replaced the battery, and kept working on the pokedex. I felt so accomplished even as a grown ass adult completing the pokedex form my childhood game.

i can remember getting a shiny sneasel on emerald from an egg.
i was going out and got home really late at night around 4:30 am.
i was hungry so i thought lets bake an egg, while baking an egg i was hatching sneasels for a good nature (adamant)
kinda funny baking an egg while hatching an egg
finally a egg hatched and it was a shiny sneasel, oh the joy it was my first i ever got. and it was from a egg which was like 1/8096 chance or so, oh the good old days where they barely hacked shinies compared to now.
they were so much more rare than they're now since there was no 32+ catching streak or 500+ beating/catching counter or shiny charm.
Do you have x or y, i think it would be really cool to see someone elses games because no 2 games are the same, but id like either a ramdomizer nuzlocke or exploring a save file, if you even read this, have a nice day! Edit:black/white or their sequels would be cool to!!
