Having lived on Maui those waves are not massive.
Haha cali boys
In Nazaré Portugal, Maui waves are not massive. It’s all relative, surfer dude.
Paddle out at Peahi and come back and say that.
YAY! Here come the surfer fights, BRAH's. lol
That's not that big yet. It's the tides that will get swimners
As one who was born in Artesia and the culture at the time surfers were territorial and legendary. Once a surfer always a surfer even if you live near the continental divide. From this location you can smell the Pacific ocean when the Santa Anna winds kick up and come from the south west and drop over The Rockies . The scent of the Pacific and surfers are bonded like an eagle is to wind and connected to a sense of being free.
Surfers are full of baloney
Ok, boomer.
@@sevestan poetic baloney
As an ex surfer living in Oregon i can tell you it isnt easy to paddle out when it gets this big.You have to be very fit.
it is, you just go right under the pier. sketchy but the Rip will suck you right out
Why criticize people as "looky loos"? They are curious as are many of us.
because you're supposed to be shopping or thinking about stuff to buy. Taking your eyes off your smartphone is a sin.
I love seeing the surfers out there proving the lack of danger to normal surf and waves! As a former surfer, we did that all the time when storms or hurricaines hit. We can't help it, when the waves get bigger they get louder calling out to us! 😅
Times like these, I wish I'd learned how to swim. That does look like some delicious surfing, the perfect curls. Have fun, guys and gals and stay safe.
it's never too late. do it, it'll change your life.
My Dad was required to "run" laps there. He would run to the end of the pier, jump off, and catch a wave in and then do it as many times as was required.
unless he was a lifeguard no he didn't. not off HB
Absolutely didn't happen. He was telling you a very tall tale. The last 2 people to jump off that pier a couple of years ago one died.
Wish I still lived in San Diego so I could enjoy these waves.
That footage was chest to head high at best not very big at all. Gotta love the media
This happen 40 years ago, all the peirs got destroyed by the waves. They had to rebuild them..
Oh come on, I used to boogie board on bigger waves in Hawaii
Doubtful.
Dang it’s glassy too!
It came to pass and yet unfolded elsewhere 👀
Wow! 😲! 😳! Those waves are just so humongous!
I can hear The Surfaris hit song, “Wipe Out”, being played right now.
Only in Southern California, my friends. Only in Southern California.
Obviously Jacqueline does not go to the beach often, if she felt they were very big waves along that coast.
Nice tube, Dude!
I'm in Hawaii so this just looks blown out. Stay out of that mess.
Just a big close out
Crazy .....
Hey, are all the surfers there that good looking ?

Disrespectful reporter she was even was embarrassed about her reporting she had to look away every person has to know their limitations seems like those gentlemen made it out of the water just fine😮
Of course winter brings crazier tides and sea levels. IT'S WINTER. Also, these trends will--slowly but surely--continue over the coming decades.
Absolutely 💯% very correct answer on winter time surf waves 🌊 in California. I used to live out there.
Wooooooooo !!!!🏄🏽♂️🏄🏽♂️🏄🏽♂️🏄🏽♂️

Compared to New Jersey, that's pretty tame stuff.
This was a report on ocean waves, not foul odors.
Maybe big for California, not Hawaii. Plus you measure waves from the back, not the front.
Maybe not, but they’re still big cold closeout waves.
I guess wave size is relative and subjective. Those waves are midgets compared to normal ocean waves seen around the world. Maybe media was running low on covid hysteria.
‘covid hysteria’??? Spoken like a true trump cultist.
@@dr.jamesolack8504 I'm an independent. Try it along with critical thinking! 99% recovered from covid. The people who died from covid were already sick or obese. Hospitals were financially motivated to push covid hysteria. But you are unaware of that. Are you really a doctor?!
