Fortunately, there was never any cheating (as far as I'm aware of at least) and we ended things amicably... but holy crap it was out of the blue and I was heart wrenched. Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band to listen to while doing homework and studying, I just started a summer class at the time and Unholy Confession grew on me a lot within the weeks following my breakup. Waking the Fallen and the album before that Sounding of the Seventh Trumpet are the oldest and probably the most overlooked A7x albums and it makes my day to see this reaction. Keep it up my guy!

That *ping* you hear is the Rev’s snare drum. It’s the one critical thing I have about both Waking the Fallen and City of Evil. He used a piccolo snare which is a thinner depth snare drum. It gives that awful ping. Uugghhhh as great a drummer as the Rev was, that drum makes me crazy. Finally moved to a deeper snare on the self titled album. Keep it up brother! Love the channel! Please react to God Hates Us off of Nightmare. It really captures M. Shadows anger towards the Rev’s death.

Off of this album, I think that chapter 4 is going to be your favorite song just because it is literally biblical. A song that I can only describe as utter chaos and destruction off of this album is called I won’t see you tonight part two. I think you’ll enjoy that one as well.

@James Lafontaine Definitely the most consistent, I have to agree. I'm a Nightmare guy, with Waking the Fallen and City of Evil close behind, but Waking the Fallen has such a great flow to it and all of the songs feel so cohesive.
