I kinda miss how insane she looked, I wish they gave her the feral looking face and expressions during the clashes and moon drive stuff, but hey, she got the granny skirt back in this version of her character for those that wanted it. I'm pretty happy they differentiated the 2 versions too in this way
Wouldn't really make sense in the continuity, the red arc in the original Melty was tatari taking the form of arc while here it's just arc using more of her power
What's weird is that she does have the face and expressions in tsuki remake on which this is based so it's weird why she doesn't have them here

last 2 times the official twitter warned 1 day ahead it would be a spoiler of tsukihime remake, it was the "secret villains" (roa and vlov)
with them giving this warning again, it was very likely to be one more villain ... and it's not like there would be many more options (arach, vampire noel and red arcueid)

This is actually a great way to use the Red arcueid concept, A full contrast of arcueid, not just a different pose in the portrait
But in the other hand, The AACC problem who was hinted "fixed" giving shiki tools from nanaya, Has reappeared with "Hisui & kohaku" and "Red arcueid"
Exactly, saw so many people bashing her design but it's completely different character from Warc(from og Melty Blood) in the first place and I like what they did here.

actually Archetype Earth before Current Code did it like this.
The fact that they save her actual blood red attacks for her arc drive and probably her last arc makes her cooler in my opinion, also all her cut ins and animations look great.

Well, this is legitimately surprising that Red Arcueid would return instead but then again she is part of the remake in Ciel's route so what are the odds. Also, do any of you find that Arcueid's eyes not changing into red gold eyes makes her look more annoying than supposed creepiness because it did not emphasise on her more raging self for she did not hang out with Shiki a lot more in Ciel's route. It feels weird that her eyes remains unchanged.
Yeah, she's not nearly as sexy without the murder eyes. The redesigns are a real downgrade.
I'm still gonna play her but TBH she doesn't look scary at all in the end card. She lost the eyes, spiky teeth, and jagged hair. But I think that's the fault of the Tsukihime remake rather than Melty Blood
EDIT: It appears I was wrong, and that Red Arc actually has the freaky eyes in the remake (although everything else is the same), so for some reason they decided to turn it down in this game. That's fucking lame

It's super weird cause she's legit terrifying in the remake of tsuki and her design has the eyes and unruly hair. I wonder why they didn't include it in melty
Nah the creepy unchanging smile and emotionless eyes combined with no other giveaways to her true nature is a plus imo, it makes her far scarier, like an inhuman monster mimicking a human being, all so that it can better hunt its prey, like Johan Liebert or Yoshikage Kira. And I get that being this sadistic, berserker-esque monster is what Red Arc is supposed to be on a surface level, but nowadays that kind of character/character design's been down to death, so I welcome the change.
We asked and they listened. We said that we missed the granny dress and they delivered. Not only that, but they also made it look weirdly sexy with that slit. Me and those other 6 people who play Warc are indeed very happy.
If anything, I think that the "granny dress", as people call it, actually looks pretty good now, and it flows nicely during her moves.
And of course, we got the sweater puppies too. We can't forget that!
Now then, let's go, Type-Moon. Let's bring in Aoko too. You know you want to!

Well, DBFZ get crapped on for having "too many Gokus." Those not super familiar with the source material will see just a "clone" character in a 12/13 character roster. So I can understand that a little.
I feel like most old school Melty fans are on RUclips while newer, more casual players are on twitter.

Evil Ryu actually has differences, ones that make him more badass.
This Arc is more lame than the regular one, her attacks are a basic white energy color, and her super is bland af.
If she had something like the Raging Demon, yeah less complaints like Evil Ryu.

Kinda feels like they mixed warc and hime a bit.
Lore wise this is the result of her turning yandere, not giving into her bloodthirst, so it makes sense
While I'm not so happy that they made her eyes less crazy, they brought back the granny skirt so it's a fair trade, a good deal even
Only criticism is that it feels more like a dress with that slit and the way it flares out. Still miss how it was just a plain, flat sheet skirt tbh, but I'll take what i can get I guess.
To this day Arcueid Aerial grab animation is still my favorite, just grabs your face and slam you to the ground

It is a pity that she doesn't look quite as insane as OG melty warcueid, but we got the long skirt and original hairstyle back, so it's a win for me
Not gonna lie, this is pretty disappointing to me: i loved how batsiht crazy, bloodthirsty and sadistic Warcueid looked, acted and (most impotantly) sounded in AC/AA, that made her really stand out as the "would be" arcueid in contrast to the merry and laidback one we know, it made warc way scarier knowing that's the same person, but unbound by morals and cares.
This is just mildly annoyed arcueid...
Granted, her existence plotwise all made sense only because of Warachia's rumors shananegans, so if this is indeed a prequel of the old Melty Blood, none of that has happened yet, and this mildly annoyed arc makes more sense then old Red Arc

*Shame!!!* The developers should have went all out to make the game the greatest it ever has been by transfering the kind of things people like from the past Melty. Now I don't want this version of the game, because it's has a lot missing that we liked from another version of the game and the new Melty Lumina should of totally replaced the past versions if this game was really finished. In other words, this game is a unfinished project... More like a cash grab for the die hard fans. These die hard fans will end up being beaten by the devs for their cold hard cash like Ceil in the video...😥
Though I wish the character for final trailer was aoko, I do like her animations especially those facial expressions and like the og red arcuied her voice on this form is great as well

Damn I wasn’t expecting Red Arcueid to return in MB, I know she appears in Ciel’s Route in the remake but damn I honestly thought we would of got maybe Aoko or Powered Ciel as the last character but this is still great. I like the call back to old design tho it looks cool.

They somehow made Red Arcueid look more like a Milf than regular Arc and I'm here for it.
The long skirt gives it that mature touch that I love so much about the classic Arcueid outfit

Even though I like how her eyes looked in the old melty, this time around without the eyes instead of looking like a berserk monster, she looks like she is insane; which I like cause she really looks like they say "devoid or reason and emotion.". Her smirking face with those eyes compensate for the Mystic Eyes in my opinion

I'm actually quite happy they are bringing back alt characters but giving Warc the old costume really put a smile on my face. This gives me hope that ill be able to see Vakiha playable someday.

Love how she has both versions of her 623 dash, doing damage and not.
She has her 236C as well as jB, jC from the crescent/half moon too which were probably her best air normals for horizontal/vertical trades
Some changes seem to be made like having a bit of floating with moves and I hope that means I can do what i am thinking.
Some moves were removed entirely like her j/22x series which makes me sad but hey you can't win everything.
Sorry for gushing like this it's just warc used to be my favorite in aacc

As for Red Arc's design, I will miss her looking as feral as she did originally. I am sure that Tsuki Remake characterizes her as absolutely terrifying, but as many have said, the beauty of these designs is lost on those who can't play Tsuki Remake 😭

Enkidu was the only character I liked in UNIST because 1) He was pretty cool 2) He's the only character that had good-looking dark skin variations

Essentially, old lore was Arc unleashing the power she uses to restrain her vampiric impulse. Added to the power Roa stole from her, this left her very weakened, so Red Arc was Arc going nuts but with a lot more power.
This "Red Arc" is Arc after regaining the power Roa stole from her in some capacity, showing her terrifying True Ancestors hacks in more of their full glory. She is not unhinged as before, but her obsession with Shiki and lack of proper interaction to rectify her issues turn her very dangerous and unforgiving as she wields her power as she pleases.

@@MajorLawliet So in other words, this version is slightly different from the Red Arc from Old Melty Blood (and the one summoned as a berserker). She had completely red eyes cause while she remained a true ancestor, her mind as an elemental and her mind as a vampire got inverted due to the power Roa stole.
Type Lumina Red Arc got more of her power back and now she's way more dangerous cause with certain mental limits unlocked and she wields a fraction of Archetype Earth's power, making her a seriously omega level threat when she goes all out. But Archetype Earth herself is on a completely different level.
Alright, this is an incredibly solid starting roster... But let's not forget to dust off the old DLC waiting rooms for Ryougi Shiki and Aoko Aozaki, yeah?

So, the reason why Red arcueid was made a character is probably more significant than a lot of people think. Believe it or not red arcueid's appearance is more important than it was in the original tsukihime. Gonna try to paragraph break for spoilers, in case anybody is confused/interested why red arcueid specifically made it in.
Red arcueid is kind of the final boss of ciel route. Her reason for becoming this way and her exact abilities are actually a lot different from the original red arcueid. Ciel's route, like in the original game, is intended to be played after arcueid's, thus making it the last of the "nearside routes." Red arc is literally shiki fighting arcueid as the final boss of the nearside routes. After nearside Arcueid never makes an in game appearance again either for any of the other routes, outside of a small cameo in akihas. Due to red arcueid being handled so differently in story it doesn't really make that much sense for say, some of her movesets to be used by regular arcueid unlike having shiki use some of nanaya's moveset. Nanaya's lore was specfic to Kagetsu tohya, at least the nanaya we see in melty. Red arc is essentially the last boss of the entire VN. I can already assume what her last arc finish will be.
So in essence she’s basically a hybrid of classic Warc & PS2!Hime?

Nasu said a "certain character will have a certain Last arc" and that it will be "heavy spoilers" for the remake. I can only assume the character is in question Red arc here. I'm not gonna give away the surprise, just expect it to be... Interesting.

I like to think that French Bread's staff wanted to keep the red sclera and crazy hair from the OG Melty Blood but Type-Moon was like "Woah that's too crazy of a design for us! Just make Arcueid with a longer skirt!"

@@xelpad2379 aoko isn't really a "spoiler" though, she appears in the first hour of the game. She doesn't have major plot relevance in any of the routes either, she is just the wizard that saves Shiki from becoming a psychopath at a young age
Honestly, I wanted Arach to make it in just to see how salty Aoko fans could get.
red arcueid, literally had this demon look on her face in the past, now it's just her with a sinister sadistic look on her face
different red arc. before it was a fale creation from warachia. This specifically arcueid at the end of ciel route in the remake(and she is middle ground of red arc and Archetype earth / Hime)

The old clothes are a nice touch, but I miss the very red eyes and the crazy laughs.
NGL kinda wish she kept more of her feral look but not having to deal with day 1 character crisis makes me SOOOOOOOO happy.
Not who I was expecting, but Red Arcueid is one of my favorite characters to play in MBAACC, so I'm happy she made it.
Although I do have to note that her appearance is a whole lot less twisted now. Looks a lot more like regular Arcueid. She also doesn't have the crazy orange eyes anymore. Also doesn't laugh like a madman on every second attack anymore, which is a little sad.
@Snake Eraser tsukihime remake is somewhat same but different than the original ones, so it'd be obvious if this melty blood is also different from the older ones. So in short, this might not be the red arcueid we all knew, maybe it's her 1st form or smething. With tsukihime remake is going to brim=ng more routes in the future, maybe we'd get more characters as well for melty blood. Maybe we'd get that red sclera arcueid in the future. There are a lot of possibilities in the future, but for now i can say for myself that is is one of my favourite characters in the game, might need to test her out myself though.

If two characters look the same they will be called clones. People that play melty call them clones. Yours is a losing battle

I will remind people with the unchecked expectations (people that wanted x or y character, "redisign" complainers, people that wanted saber) that this is not a sequel of old Melty, this is a game based on a VN that is rebooting the Tsukihime franchise, so keep that in mind for the future.
