Great comment. Them/they is kind of safe for anyone, I figure. I'm male (bio and identified), but don't have any problem with it. But you're right that He/him is the better one. I'm glad Drew at least pointed it out, though, and think most of them made a better effort after this (though they sometimes screwed it up).
I wasn't interested in watching Tiger King - until I started watching this video, at which point I stopped you guys, binge watched the entire series now back listening to ya'll. Hilarious. Made my day! Cory fucking rocks!!!!

I remember as a little kid there was this pet store I would visit that had a Peach Faced monkey as a store pet. I would visit so much because of her that when I would go in and she would see me and run to me and sit on my shoulder. I thought she was the coolest pet.

Edit 2: "People looking at horrible people." Guilty this time. I consider having watched Tiger King as my quota of doing 10 years' worth of Reality TV. The documentary was a freaking train wreck. The people had no redeeming qualities. My sympathy is with the animals.

If people were farming these things and getting $2000/cub and $2000/plate to serve them in their fancy restaurants you would never hear the word endangered again.

One of things that blew me away was the father dropping his daughter off. Seriously what kind of father would do that. And then he warns her not to fall in love with the tiger man, he must have known about the lifestyle. Wow.

There is no fucking way that Exotic Joe was selling tiger cubs for $2000. There is absolutely no way.
But those don't grow big and don't cost $10 000/year to feed like the tigers do, so people will want buy them more maybe? Because in the long run they must be cheaoer to keep.
I also thought Mario was the most normal person out of the bunch- it's like I have to keep reminding myself that he was this huge circular-sawing criminal, that his criminality was so immense that Al Pacino played him in a movie.

Bro, I get that you're drunk or high or whatever, so it seems real funny to play devil's advocate in the GROSSEST way possible on behalf of narcissistic sexual exploitation, but just STFU. *Even if* it weren't a cult, which it is, it would still be abuse. A lot of people love their abusers--that doesn't mean they haven't been abused, and it certainly doesn't mean it "worked out" for the survivor just because they still love the person abusing them.
I'm happy for you if you've never experienced or been personal witness to hyper-controlling abuse by a narcissist, but those of us who have been--or, you know, have two brain cells to rub together--want you to never open your mouth about this again.
