His total WAR is 7.1. Second place is 5. He's 80 points ahead of second in OPS. He lost out on MVP last year when Judge hit 62 homers. Shohei is on pace for 60 - be crazy if he hit 63, was 16-8 with an era of about 3.25 and won MVP. He's the clear best hittier in baseball (excluding injured players from the argument), and is a top 15 pitcher. Top 15 is being conservative, and there's 32? teams, so that makes him an ace, the best pitcher on more than half the teams (oversimplified), and since he's also the best hitter on EVERY team, he's the best pitcher AND hitter on more than half the teams. Phew!.

Yes, Ohtani is otherworldly. He's unprecedented and deserves a room in the Hall of Fame right now. But Mark D needs to get a little more knowledge about the UFO/UAP phenomena, research, credible eye witness testimony from pilots, etc. Just making fun of it is juvenile, and disrespectful to your female co-host who had an experience she can't explain. We don't know enough yet, but don't just dismiss this like it's all tales from wackos wearing aluminum foil hats. But, to end with a little levity without discounting the UAP reporting, If Ohtani is from another planet and has some info on power sources that can totally replace fossil fuel madness, let's hear him out.
