Here is something to consider: Every 2 out, bases loaded strikeout that shohei Ohtani gets is equal to a HR robbery or diving catch in the outfield by Judge. Ohtani Strikes out 10 per game, Judge makes 1 or 2 great plays in outfield per game max. In fielding and defense alone, Shohei is worth 5X what Judge is.

This is one of those hyped commentary topics that is also unfair to both players. Ohtani is one of a kind, not just in talent but also in his personality and presence on the field. To do both pitching and hitting at an elite level is an achievement no one else has had. He's also big-time in the marketing and fan appreciation categories--many fans for other teams and around the world follow Ohtani with great enthusiasm. Judge is a monster athlete and a big threat at the plate, plus he seems like a good guy. I think Ohtani deserved the MVP again last year. Fixating on HRs is absurd. Stanton hit 57 in 2018, and Judge surpassed that by five, one more than Maris hit. Are you really going to say that was a more noteworthy accomplishment than what Ohtani did as both a hitter and a pitcher? Who knows how much longer Ohtani will continue at this elite level or if he might even surpass what he's done already? But for the last two years, what he's done exceeds what anyone else has done in the sport in history.

Ohtani hasn’t. Ohtani is A Great player.. Don’t get me twisted but Despite him pitching and hitting it just ain’t equaling wins.
