One more thing that's great about the effect res increase for all units is that you have more chance of resisting things like dots which can often eat your health. Effect res is crazy good value for sustainability.

He doesnt lose his soulsteel sync if a shielder can prevent him from losing his health. Geppard exists but hes just okay while Aventurine has crit vuln, sizable dmg, and synergy with yangquing followup.

I honestly prefer him as a pure shielder, it’s easy to build and it’s not like he would do the same damage as other DPS, I don’t need him to be a sub dps. I’ll let my main DPS do all the damage.
I honestly quite impressed with his personal damage - i pulled his light cone so obviously that helps a lot but his ult is at level 6 and all his relics are at lv 12 or below and he was hitting up to 80k ults plus 40k FUAs fully buffed up. For my account this is quite a bit of damage 😅. He’s also SO FUN in Simulated Universe I’m super happy with his performance!

He's pretty much said the only domains worth farming are quantum, DOT/FUA if you use those units and Acheron's debuff set. Beyond that look for crit on pieces for crit dps and look for Speed on supports.
wdym, you keep relics with main stat and at least 1 relevant stat out of 3, it might be cd/cr, speed, hp or even break effect depending on the character you are building you might also wanna keep relics wifh useful 2p and really good substats in case one day they become the best for a certain character or you need to quickly build someone up with a rainbow set
Just a reminder: 50% EFF RES IS NOT A TRUE 50%!! The formula for EFF RES: Actual Chance = Base Chance x (1+EnemyEHR) x (1-EFFRES) x (1-DebuffResist%) For an example, enemies at higher levels have higher EHR (70=16%, 80=24%, 90=36%). All debuffs, including CCs have a base chance of 100%, excluding Kafka's Spirit Whispher which is 120%. The debuff resist part of the formula is only for traces in character kits that resist things like CC, such as Luocha having a 70% CC resist. For a trial formula, we'll use a level 90 enemy (MoC or SU enemies) with no debuff resist and just the 50% EFF RES boost 100 x (1+.36) x (1-.50) = 68% Chance. Please consider this when using Aventurine as a sustain.

If a gepard with a increase taunt trace + LC with increased taunt + preservation role taunt level doesn't get hit consistently then expecting that to happen with adventurine feels like a total cope.
I mean it depends on how you want to define consistent. If someone's head is mixed up and they think consistent means 99% of the time, well yeah. But if you're being reasonable and just saying, hey they have a significantly higher chance to get targeted, even compared to other preservation characters, then yeah. It's pretty consistent. I think consistency is a word that means something other than what you think it means. You can expect either him or this character as a preservation unit, with that light cone, to get hit frequently compared to everyone else. Consistently. It's not variable over a period of time. It's not the best word to use. A hard percentage would have been better. But it's not wrong.
Since damage % buffs are additive with each other, the percentage increase in damage from the E6 is more impactful for a team without Ruan Mei than a team without her. The comparisons are: Damage of team without RM vs Damage of team without RM and with E6. Damage of team with RM vs Damage of team with RM and with E6. So it’s not that adding Ruan Mei decreases the damage. It’s just that you’re boosted so much by Ruan Mei already that the % increase in damage you’ll see without the E6 vs with E6 won’t be as dramatic.

I run a E0/S1 hypercarry set up with Aventurine, E2 Ruan Mei, E1 Sparkle, & E2 Bronya.....His ULT hits for 185k 92.2% CR & 200%CD & with a ERR Rope he literally ULTS so much but his DEF will be under 4K so i stick to a DEF% rope. He is literally the best sustain unit in the game period. Fu Xuan could never!
Guys, if you have a decently built Aven remember to just NOT skill at all. I’ve beat current moc 12 on both sides, and I still haven’t skilled on Aven since I got him

Had 110 tickets saved up, just to get Himeko, ended up dropping $30 and got TWO copies of him 🤩🥳 No light cone for me tho cause not using him for dps and I don’t wanna spend still hurting from Acheron lol. She’s very happy with the extra crit dmg tho 😮💨

I have all the abundance units but i feel like i also need preservation for certain contents in the game like swarm as the enemies just one shots regardless
Yeah he is very good. You already have 2 premium sustains though so it’s not a must pull. But if you think the shields are worth using for Acheron teams and definitely for SU he will be worth it.
Dont say 4k, i saw Aventurine with 6.5k def effortlessly, with his sig LC and 150% cdmg on stat. Insane. Powercreep is soooo real. I thought the effect just miniscule, but it's vice versa. Can see the difference itself between gepard LC vs Aventurine LC. 24% vs 40% def buff.
That’s because Gepard and his LC are standard banner items, while Aventurine & his LC are limited. Standard are always worse than limited. And Gepard’s LC reached 48% DEF, more than Aventurine’s.
Was considering aventurine until i got gepard e2 on way to acheron e2. Honestly his stack generation is busted with it and he allowed me to laugh in evil meka aventurines face when he and sparkle lost the dice roll.

Actually personal dmg just bit higher than fuxuan. Fuxuan gives 24 CV to team while Aventurine ult 15 CV against only one enemy. So plus minus, the same haha.
I have never been more on the fence about getting a character. On the one hand, his shielding looks super strong and comfy. On the other hand, having his ability to deal with CC being completely RNG for most characters is awful, especially if you want to run him in a hypercarry comp. RNG removal would have been way better than RNG resistance.
Doesnt the EHR from Gepard’s LC give him more action delay on break, sorta like Sustain Welt? If so than AventuRuan might be a crazy sustain/amplifier core for lower tier DPS like Arlan/PhysMC/Misha/Yanq, cuz the Misha Freeze/Ruan Mei delay/Imprison combo sounds kinda nice if so
(DPS build) When putting on auto I recommend swapping out the Imaginary Sphere for Def. Imaginary Sphere Aventurine is a little too squishy for my liking. My logic is that he's there to be sustain first, damage second. If he cant sustain he shouldnt be on the team.
He can sustain more than enough with crit damage, def img def. You can still hit 4k def which is more than enough. My aventurine is only 3.6k def cuz not fully built and he sustains more than enough. That's why hes better with an offensive build because even with offensive build you will have no problem sustaining.
@@TheRedOGRE I had 4.2k def on him with Img Sphere and did some testing on auto with an Acheron team. I noticed the auto AI seems to really hates using his skill until after damage digs into characters' HP. Thats fine on calyxes but I was testing against weekly bosses and my (admittedly underbuilt) Pela got cut down to ~20% health against the Swarm boss real quick. I did some more testing with a Def Sphere, and Pela only dropped to 50 so she can tank one more big AOE hit. My recommendation is more so a safety thing for farming. Obviously for MOC or PF I'd recommend going with Img Sphere since those gamemodes have a timer. When I play manually Aventurine's shield uptime is fine with Img Sphere, because of the Skill-Basic-Basic rotation. I don't have Topaz, so I can't test this, but I'd imagine his shield uptime (on Def Sphere) is much better in a FUA team even on auto so maybe FUA Aventurine doesn't have this problem.
There are no real f2p alternatives to his signature for a proper hybrid build, in my opinion, as you can't get near 4k Def with both CritDmg chest and Imaginary% sphere with any other lightcone, unless you get like 20% Def on each non-Def% relic... I'll stick to my current build: 3.8k Def, 157 Spd, no CritDmg at all... shield bot is the way, I guess

If i were in your shoes, I would go for more harmony characters than sustains. Gepard with trend lc is enough for e0s1 acheron team. Don't waste your pulls if you are an f2p player and save your pulls for either broken healers or broken supports.
If you want the super mega ultra cracked tech, keep aventurine in the 2nd or 3rd party slot so that he gets the maximum number of BB stacks from enemy blast attacks
I'm in your situation and got aventurine because now I have all the types of sustains (healer, shield, fu xuan). I probably won't pull another sustain again unless a new type of sustain comes out that's different from the rest like fu xuan.

With Acheron, DHIL and Sparkle + aiming for Kafka, blackswam and ruanmei, what you guys suggest as my First Limited sustain, huohuo, fuxuan or aventurine? I Dont Go for eidolons or cones
Aventurine should work well for all your teams but Huo Huo will be slightly better for a Kafka/Black Swan/RM team. Honestly I suggest Aventurine, Fu Xuan is very good but she eventually burns out in certain battles.
All 3 of them are strong, but lean towards different niches. TL;DR - Huohuo is great for DOT teams and is simple to use, Fu Xuan is great for Crit-based hyper carries but has some trouble in specific situations in the hardest content in the game, and Aventurine is great with follow-up teams as well as Acheron. Huohuo is probably the most "valuable" pick. She has the best cleansing in the game, her healing is strong and mostly automated, and her ultimate is universally useful, with maybe the exception of Acheron. She will lack burst healing though, unless you get her lightcone. She is the best healer for DOT-based teams. Fu Xuan is great for Crit-based hyper carries because she has a native +12% crit rate for the entire team in her kit. She also is pretty much unkillable in most content in the game. A lot of enemies are weak to Quantum too, so she has good use in breaking enemies in AOE situations. However, she will have a hard time in the upper echelons of Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears, as the hyperbuffed bosses can one shot her at full hp with their aoe attacks. Aventurine looks like he will be strong everywhere. There's not much in the game that will be able to get past his shields, so he is also effectively unkillable like Fuxuan, and he indirectly provides +15% crit damage to the team through his ultimate's debuff. He is also the premier follow-up attack sustainer, as he has good synergy with them and his talent. A lot of enemies are weak to imaginary, so he'll be able to apply a lot of weakness breaks to weaker enemies or single bosses just by existing. He also has great light cone flexibility, so many F2P options work great on him. Finally, he's probably going to be Acheron's best sustain slot-in.
U will just lose bunch of defence stats . Like around 200 to 300 base defence. I haven't included extra defence substats from relics like defence percentage. So it might be higher. If your Acheron team can clear enemies within 3 to 4 cycles, then it shouldn't be a problem( assuming ur team has decent HP like 3K to 3.5K to tank DMG if the shield isn't enough)
I personally think that if you pull Aventurine with Acheron in mind, his Sig LC debuff is not needed for faster ult generation since Trend would probably still generate more stacks for Acheron. Just something to keep in mind for F2P/Low spenders who maybe feel pressured to pull it for their Acheron. It was revealed to me in a dream that you should save for a certain upcoming Nihility support instead ;)

Drop either. 4k is plenty and you get massive diminshing returns going above it. Try to find pieces witb crit stats you your main def stats can get you 4k defense.

That’s because Gepard and his LC are standard banner items, while Aventurine & his LC are limited. Standard are always worse than limited. And Gepard’s LC reached 48% DEF, more than Aventurine’s.

Honestly his stack generation is busted with it and he allowed me to laugh in evil meka aventurines face when he and sparkle lost the dice roll.

Actually personal dmg just bit higher than fuxuan. Fuxuan gives 24 CV to team while Aventurine ult 15 CV against only one enemy. So plus minus, the same haha.

I have never been more on the fence about getting a character. On the one hand, his shielding looks super strong and comfy. On the other hand, having his ability to deal with CC being completely RNG for most characters is awful, especially if you want to run him in a hypercarry comp. RNG removal would have been way better than RNG resistance.
Doesnt the EHR from Gepard’s LC give him more action delay on break, sorta like Sustain Welt? If so than AventuRuan might be a crazy sustain/amplifier core for lower tier DPS like Arlan/PhysMC/Misha/Yanq, cuz the Misha Freeze/Ruan Mei delay/Imprison combo sounds kinda nice if so

(DPS build) When putting on auto I recommend swapping out the Imaginary Sphere for Def. Imaginary Sphere Aventurine is a little too squishy for my liking.
My logic is that he's there to be sustain first, damage second. If he cant sustain he shouldnt be on the team.
He can sustain more than enough with crit damage, def img def. You can still hit 4k def which is more than enough. My aventurine is only 3.6k def cuz not fully built and he sustains more than enough. That's why hes better with an offensive build because even with offensive build you will have no problem sustaining.
@@TheRedOGRE I had 4.2k def on him with Img Sphere and did some testing on auto with an Acheron team. I noticed the auto AI seems to really hates using his skill until after damage digs into characters' HP. Thats fine on calyxes but I was testing against weekly bosses and my (admittedly underbuilt) Pela got cut down to ~20% health against the Swarm boss real quick. I did some more testing with a Def Sphere, and Pela only dropped to 50 so she can tank one more big AOE hit.
My recommendation is more so a safety thing for farming. Obviously for MOC or PF I'd recommend going with Img Sphere since those gamemodes have a timer. When I play manually Aventurine's shield uptime is fine with Img Sphere, because of the Skill-Basic-Basic rotation. I don't have Topaz, so I can't test this, but I'd imagine his shield uptime (on Def Sphere) is much better in a FUA team even on auto so maybe FUA Aventurine doesn't have this problem.

There are no real f2p alternatives to his signature for a proper hybrid build, in my opinion, as you can't get near 4k Def with both CritDmg chest and Imaginary% sphere with any other lightcone, unless you get like 20% Def on each non-Def% relic... I'll stick to my current build: 3.8k Def, 157 Spd, no CritDmg at all... shield bot is the way, I guess

If i were in your shoes, I would go for more harmony characters than sustains. Gepard with trend lc is enough for e0s1 acheron team. Don't waste your pulls if you are an f2p player and save your pulls for either broken healers or broken supports.
If you want the super mega ultra cracked tech, keep aventurine in the 2nd or 3rd party slot so that he gets the maximum number of BB stacks from enemy blast attacks

I'm in your situation and got aventurine because now I have all the types of sustains (healer, shield, fu xuan). I probably won't pull another sustain again unless a new type of sustain comes out that's different from the rest like fu xuan.

With Acheron, DHIL and Sparkle + aiming for Kafka, blackswam and ruanmei, what you guys suggest as my First Limited sustain, huohuo, fuxuan or aventurine? I Dont Go for eidolons or cones
Aventurine should work well for all your teams but Huo Huo will be slightly better for a Kafka/Black Swan/RM team. Honestly I suggest Aventurine, Fu Xuan is very good but she eventually burns out in certain battles.
All 3 of them are strong, but lean towards different niches. TL;DR - Huohuo is great for DOT teams and is simple to use, Fu Xuan is great for Crit-based hyper carries but has some trouble in specific situations in the hardest content in the game, and Aventurine is great with follow-up teams as well as Acheron.
Huohuo is probably the most "valuable" pick. She has the best cleansing in the game, her healing is strong and mostly automated, and her ultimate is universally useful, with maybe the exception of Acheron. She will lack burst healing though, unless you get her lightcone. She is the best healer for DOT-based teams.
Fu Xuan is great for Crit-based hyper carries because she has a native +12% crit rate for the entire team in her kit. She also is pretty much unkillable in most content in the game. A lot of enemies are weak to Quantum too, so she has good use in breaking enemies in AOE situations. However, she will have a hard time in the upper echelons of Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears, as the hyperbuffed bosses can one shot her at full hp with their aoe attacks.
Aventurine looks like he will be strong everywhere. There's not much in the game that will be able to get past his shields, so he is also effectively unkillable like Fuxuan, and he indirectly provides +15% crit damage to the team through his ultimate's debuff. He is also the premier follow-up attack sustainer, as he has good synergy with them and his talent. A lot of enemies are weak to imaginary, so he'll be able to apply a lot of weakness breaks to weaker enemies or single bosses just by existing. He also has great light cone flexibility, so many F2P options work great on him. Finally, he's probably going to be Acheron's best sustain slot-in.
For aventurine ulti, can it be resist? I noticed that it does not mention the “base chance”

How much Trend lightcone is worse than Gepard lightcone? I want to get extra debuff for Ratio or Acheron.
U will just lose bunch of defence stats . Like around 200 to 300 base defence. I haven't included extra defence substats from relics like defence percentage. So it might be higher. If your Acheron team can clear enemies within 3 to 4 cycles, then it shouldn't be a problem( assuming ur team has decent HP like 3K to 3.5K to tank DMG if the shield isn't enough)

Gepard lc if running ratio = more aventurine stacks. Ratio can easily have others fulfill his conditions.

I personally think that if you pull Aventurine with Acheron in mind, his Sig LC debuff is not needed for faster ult generation since Trend would probably still generate more stacks for Acheron.
Just something to keep in mind for F2P/Low spenders who maybe feel pressured to pull it for their Acheron. It was revealed to me in a dream that you should save for a certain upcoming Nihility support instead ;)

Drop either. 4k is plenty and you get massive diminshing returns going above it. Try to find pieces witb crit stats you your main def stats can get you 4k defense.
