I like how Aventurine Buffs Effect Res Substats because before Any Wayward roll into Effect Res was effectively Useless in resisting enemy debuffs because of how Actual Chance is calculated. Now with 50 Effect Res as everyone base stat, Rolls into Effect Res now have more Value.
7:06 Minor correction. The probablity of landing the debuff atleast once in 7 hits is 99.8%. What you calced is the probability of not landing the debuff exactly 7 times. Math; Probabilty of applying (the debuff) = 0.6 Probablity of not applying = 1- 0.6 = 0.4 Probabilty of not applying 7 times = 0.4^7 Probability of applying atleast once = 1-0.4^7=99.8%

Aventurine is EXACTLY what I needed for my Ratio, Topaz, and Sliver Wolf team Just reached 90 pulls with guaranteed pity can't wait to get him tomorrow :)))
I think another thing worth noting is that Aventurine's follow-up shields refresh the shield cooldown. So unless your dps can somehow go 3-4 times before his turn without triggering his follow-up, then you don't have to worry about the shield expiring.
Great guide again! I like his vibe and I like the idea of his synergies, but man I am already so happy with Fu Xuan and Huohuo (and Bailu and Luocha for that matter), and I have more of a desire for both Robin and Topaz, so I feel like I should skip him if I want a good shot at both of them.

@@aschryu1682Sig is better for my team. With his sig I can run hyperspeed Aventurine while maintaining 4K def. Better for SP generation, faster debuff applications with basic and more frequent ults. Trend’s good but the defense is dogwater and RNG dependent.
@@shezarr3456 I just tried his S1 for comparison, the sfeer amount of defense compared to trend is just insane, but Acheron's ults do come put slightly slower.
Him and Acheron have been game-changing units for me, I started with Huohuo's banner and my only limited 5 stars before these two was Ruan Mei, so getting a top-tier DPS and a limited 5 star sustainer just feels so good, Argenti's quest was still unfinished for me cause I didn't have very good characters but with these two I finished it with full health so easily even though Aventurine only had around 2500 Def back then (3400 now, still working on him) And to think I was thinking about skipping Aventurine because I have E1S1 Gepard, that would have been such a big mistake

Been avoiding this video until I finally got adventurine for myself! thanks to the free 1600 jades today, I got him! It's also a won 50/50 for once in my life. He is so fun to play! Really maximizes ruan mei's buff throughout the team, and damn the team is indeed immortal even if I built adventurine with sub dps. Would have loved to get the light cone as well but that would be asking for too much right? I''ll probably get Topaz' light cone next because of the value it provides to all followup teams, especially the ratio one. Thanks for the great guide once again guoba!
Hello again, my guy. After finally finding the right relics for Acheron, here I am on the hunt for our skinny chonky boi's best set. It seems you really need his LC if you're gunning for top damage. But with Geppy's LC, he's thicc enough.
After scraping up every last pull I barely dragged myself to soft pity and in the spirit of all or nothing, the gambler told me "Stand proud, 50/50. You were strong." and arrived to shield me from the sure-hit effect of the declined credit card domain

I won the 50/50 on Aventurine, and still have 150 pulls left :3 That said, while I would *love* a sub-dps Aventurine with still 4k Def, relic farming and I aren't on the best of terms. Like, I used up 25 Fuels just to get *decent* KoP set. So, yeah. I'm now gonna start farming for Acheron~~
I think this is the first sustain that does not need both energy regeneration and speed. You can argue with Speed for the skill point (but that also depend in the team he is), but really, you just need y to check if his shield is goona fall and in that case you press the skill botton. Then he does damage. Now, in my account, i have HouHou and Fu Xuan, so i dont really need him, but i dont have any shielder and in the future, i bet there will be other boss like SAM, that negate healing, so, i am going to do a 10 pull on him

For an acheron team what is better? 161 speed and no ERR rope or 134+ speed with ERR rope (in both of these I reach 4k plus def) The goal is to get Ult asap, but idk what can give it faster between being fast or having err rope
the one thing I love is how Yanqing and Arlan can finally have effectively permanent uptime on their kits with Aventurine, a constant, near always refreshable shield's exactly what they've been waiting for 🤲 Arlan especially will deff have some unique advantages with Aventurine. namely allowing Aven to use his skill a bit more(even tho he don't need to). since Arlan's skill uses hp and not sp, he can easily use the Sparkle+Bronya comp just like Blade could, but with Aventurine for Arlan. the damage ain't gon be special but its a decent comp. but that's provided the shield lasts long enough, or there's enough sp to go around, so it technically ain't that good but it works🤔 Yanqing deff depends on whoever the remaining 2 members are, one of which would deff be Sparkle Aventurine really opens up some very nice teams and deff upgrades the characters that had to wait on Gepard-
I was only going for E0S1 but then I got another Aventurine in 20 pulls so now I'm here enjoying my E1S1 Aventurine. I'm a little tempted to go for E2 though, but Robin might be much worth that extra 12% all type res down. That way, I can put the IPC with a Penacony singer so that Boothill can enjoy having Ruan Mei on the team. I'm definitely going broke for this few patches, but it's all worth it.
I managed 4300 def with just a single %def main (rope). Thank you, speed boots with 15%def! You WERE trash on DHIL, but you and a lucky 13%def on a head piece meant I could go cDmg/img dmg on chest and orb. Yes, S1 was required for this, but goddamn is he cracked, almost 120% Cdmg without any other in-battle buffs.
Won the fifity fifty on him in 30 pulls, luckiest I've been considering I got Acheron and her Light cone in less than 50. Hope every aventurine wanter would be an aventurine haver!!
Late to the vid, but just subbed. Aventurine is amazing and fixes my account. Didn't have a 5 star sustain and yeah, he's broken. My core team is Acheron, Pela, Sparkle and Aventurine. Acheron can be a glass cannon and Aven solves that. And it's stupid broken in SU. I have E0S1 Acheron and with the Preservation path, I hit my 1st 1million damage ult.
Worst thing is by far how F2P unfriendly his lightcone options are. He will always be a shield bot if you are not heavily overinvesting. Okayish pull if you don't have two sustains though.
Any chance I can talk you into a Fire Trailblazer guide? With Acheron out now, they are a pretty solid choice for your sustain, and nobody has really talked about them since 1.0.
I think they can work, but often will just be worse than Gepard or Gallagher who both have better sustain, use less sp, and can also get Archeron a similar amount of stacks. Fire mc can potentially get more stacks, but only vs a large amount of enemies where Gallagher has better aoe breaking than fire mc and does more personal damage and Gepard is far less prone to dying. Don’t think using sp on his taunt is often worth it compared to using sp on other allies and having the sustain generate the sp for them.
@@twigz3214 I've had more success with Stelle than Gallagher personally. I'd love to use them both together. But I don't want to pull for Acheron eidolons. Lol
@@SerothTalon I’ve had better success with Gallagher, but to each their own I guess. If you did get her E2 at that point I don’t think you often need to bother with a sustain in the 1st place outside of SU with how large the damage buff is and can just run a Nihility + double harmony and nuke things. Think Gallagher is far better at keeping the team alive generally but if you clear fast enough fire mc can keep you barely alive.
@twigz3214 I've run each of them in MOC and Gold & Gears. I really enjoy Gallagher. But unless I can make him absurdly fast, he almost never outperforms Stelle. Let alone Luocha. And Stelle adding anywhere from 1-5 stacks to Acheron off-turn, is a pretty wild DPS increase.
Apologies for commenting this on an unrelated video, but I'd just love for it to be seen 🙏😣 In the video about Rainbow Relic sets you talked about hitting breakpoints being more powerful than having a set bonus. But is there a resource or databank somewhere that mentions key breakpoints for all characters? I know certain supports have EHR goals and such, but I'd love to see the whole cast broken down.
@guobacertified Id also really like a breakdown about stats diminishing return, like for example how much is too much atk o dmg% to reach certain diminishing return
@@M4RK0G91 all stats always have diminishing returns, it's just a product of math (1+1 is a 100% increase, while 2+1 is a 50% increase) -- what matters is when exactly the *opportunity cost* of x amount of additional stats is high enough to be worth choosing something else. for example, choosing an atk orb over a dmg orb on a dps because you run them with two units that give a lot of dmg%, enough so that more atk% is better than more dmg% the latter might be an interesting video, covering situations that break the mold in terms of how you might normally build them due to one reason or another, but it'd probably be impossible to do a video just about diminishing returns

I don't think I've prefarmed this hard for a character before, not even when I was prepping for Neuvillette. I *think* my relic setup is decent for a hybrid build: 2pc Purity/2pc Ashblazing and Broken Keel. I'm a little shy on the 4k defense on my Trailblazer, but I'm hoping it should be enough with Aventurine's stats. I'm tentatively on S1 of the crafted LC... so I'll be looking to upgrade in the future. I have more than enough pulls to get him. The question is, how many will it take? Surprisingly, March 7th has been getting some dope Buffs with Fu Xuan and Aventurine Light Cones uh. Would Aventurine's LC make her E6 proc for the Team? Because that sounds OP. Such a shame that her E4 has a average percentage of increased damage for her FuA. Damn, every since I got Gepard E2 by losing my 50/50 I've been wanting to Main Preservation for a while, the tempting is strong with this Gambler boy.
Hello! They just announced aventurine rerun and im planning on pulling for him but I'm not sure if I should pull for his lightcone or not, i have Gepards LC, Herta's Shop, etc I'll pull him mostly for my Acheron (and bc I don't have any preservation for SU/DU), and more important bc i like him
Got him E0S0 winning the 50/50 after getting E2S1 Acheron... I couldn't be happier! I'm rocking Gepard's LC on him and sheeeeeesh his shields are THICC! Also running the "IRS Team" E0S2 Topaz, E0S1 Dr. Ratio, E0S0 Aventurine and E2S1 Ruan Mei.... these guys RIP EVERYTHING APART! HAHA
I'm finding him very difficult to build lol, he almost has too much flexibility so I don't know what sets to put him in lol, and every one I roll up rolls the worst way possible /cry So now I have a bunch of potential pieces that are okay-ish but none are great and none work together lol. considering that i farmed the hell outta the pioneer cavern for ratio, my luck with DEF substats happened to be perfect for aventurine, as he hits 99/127 crit ratio in battle with 4.8k DEF

What do you think about the Light Cone: Destiny's threads Forewoven? Increases the wearer's Effect RES by 12/16/18/20% For every 100 of DEF the wearer has, increases the DMG dealt by 0.8/1/1.1/1.2% to a max increase of 32/40/44/48% If you are prioritizing 4000 DEF, you will get the maximum benefits of this Light Cone anyways of 48% DMG boost with some decent effect res to go with it. Not to mention it's Free to Play friendly. I think it's arguably better than Concert for two, but maybe not since you have to stack more DEF as main stat? On the topic of possible other Light Cones, I think Trend of the Universal Market is also decent for Aventurine. Since it gives DEF% and Dot that scales to his DEF stat.
Since Aventurine is a shield unit with additional dmg capabilities, I was really wanting to know about how much team dmg% he adds to, in some popular teams. I want to know if the dmg increase is relevant to consider when pulling for him.

Been waiting months to replace gepard in my jing/topaz/luocha/gepard team, as i'm trying to make a machine-gun-FUA team. If Ave is strong enough i may even take out luocha for another FUA dps like ratio, since theres not really a harmony/nihility/abundance FUAer (of course i do have sparkle so might slap her in too with her between-turn buff that affects FUA)

For an acheron team what is better? 161 speed and no ERR rope or 134+ speed with ERR rope (in both of these I reach 4k plus def)
The goal is to get Ult asap, but idk what can give it faster between being fast or having err rope

the one thing I love is how Yanqing and Arlan can finally have effectively permanent uptime on their kits with Aventurine, a constant, near always refreshable shield's exactly what they've been waiting for 🤲
Arlan especially will deff have some unique advantages with Aventurine. namely allowing Aven to use his skill a bit more(even tho he don't need to). since Arlan's skill uses hp and not sp, he can easily use the Sparkle+Bronya comp just like Blade could, but with Aventurine for Arlan. the damage ain't gon be special but its a decent comp.
but that's provided the shield lasts long enough, or there's enough sp to go around, so it technically ain't that good but it works🤔
Yanqing deff depends on whoever the remaining 2 members are, one of which would deff be Sparkle
Aventurine really opens up some very nice teams and deff upgrades the characters that had to wait on Gepard-

I was only going for E0S1 but then I got another Aventurine in 20 pulls so now I'm here enjoying my E1S1 Aventurine. I'm a little tempted to go for E2 though, but Robin might be much worth that extra 12% all type res down. That way, I can put the IPC with a Penacony singer so that Boothill can enjoy having Ruan Mei on the team. I'm definitely going broke for this few patches, but it's all worth it.
I managed 4300 def with just a single %def main (rope). Thank you, speed boots with 15%def! You WERE trash on DHIL, but you and a lucky 13%def on a head piece meant I could go cDmg/img dmg on chest and orb. Yes, S1 was required for this, but goddamn is he cracked, almost 120% Cdmg without any other in-battle buffs.
Won the fifity fifty on him in 30 pulls, luckiest I've been considering I got Acheron and her Light cone in less than 50. Hope every aventurine wanter would be an aventurine haver!!
Imagine using him with fu xuan when doing SU gold and gears with highest level that hit u like a truck and still fine 🗿

Aventurine is amazing and fixes my account. Didn't have a 5 star sustain and yeah, he's broken.
My core team is Acheron, Pela, Sparkle and Aventurine. Acheron can be a glass cannon and Aven solves that. And it's stupid broken in SU. I have E0S1 Acheron and with the Preservation path, I hit my 1st 1million damage ult.

Worst thing is by far how F2P unfriendly his lightcone options are. He will always be a shield bot if you are not heavily overinvesting.

Any chance I can talk you into a Fire Trailblazer guide? With Acheron out now, they are a pretty solid choice for your sustain, and nobody has really talked about them since 1.0.
I think they can work, but often will just be worse than Gepard or Gallagher who both have better sustain, use less sp, and can also get Archeron a similar amount of stacks. Fire mc can potentially get more stacks, but only vs a large amount of enemies where Gallagher has better aoe breaking than fire mc and does more personal damage and Gepard is far less prone to dying. Don’t think using sp on his taunt is often worth it compared to using sp on other allies and having the sustain generate the sp for them.
@@twigz3214 I've had more success with Stelle than Gallagher personally. I'd love to use them both together. But I don't want to pull for Acheron eidolons. Lol
@@SerothTalon I’ve had better success with Gallagher, but to each their own I guess. If you did get her E2 at that point I don’t think you often need to bother with a sustain in the 1st place outside of SU with how large the damage buff is and can just run a Nihility + double harmony and nuke things. Think Gallagher is far better at keeping the team alive generally but if you clear fast enough fire mc can keep you barely alive.
@twigz3214 I've run each of them in MOC and Gold & Gears. I really enjoy Gallagher. But unless I can make him absurdly fast, he almost never outperforms Stelle. Let alone Luocha. And Stelle adding anywhere from 1-5 stacks to Acheron off-turn, is a pretty wild DPS increase.

In the video about Rainbow Relic sets you talked about hitting breakpoints being more powerful than having a set bonus. But is there a resource or databank somewhere that mentions key breakpoints for all characters? I know certain supports have EHR goals and such, but I'd love to see the whole cast broken down.

@guobacertified Id also really like a breakdown about stats diminishing return, like for example how much is too much atk o dmg% to reach certain diminishing return
@@M4RK0G91 all stats always have diminishing returns, it's just a product of math (1+1 is a 100% increase, while 2+1 is a 50% increase) -- what matters is when exactly the *opportunity cost* of x amount of additional stats is high enough to be worth choosing something else. for example, choosing an atk orb over a dmg orb on a dps because you run them with two units that give a lot of dmg%, enough so that more atk% is better than more dmg%
the latter might be an interesting video, covering situations that break the mold in terms of how you might normally build them due to one reason or another, but it'd probably be impossible to do a video just about diminishing returns

I don't think I've prefarmed this hard for a character before, not even when I was prepping for Neuvillette. I *think* my relic setup is decent for a hybrid build: 2pc Purity/2pc Ashblazing and Broken Keel. I'm a little shy on the 4k defense on my Trailblazer, but I'm hoping it should be enough with Aventurine's stats. I'm tentatively on S1 of the crafted LC... so I'll be looking to upgrade in the future.

Surprisingly, March 7th has been getting some dope Buffs with Fu Xuan and Aventurine Light Cones uh. Would Aventurine's LC make her E6 proc for the Team? Because that sounds OP. Such a shame that her E4 has a average percentage of increased damage for her FuA.

I'm finding him very difficult to build lol, he almost has too much flexibility so I don't know what sets to put him in lol, and every one I roll up rolls the worst way possible /cry So now I have a bunch of potential pieces that are okay-ish but none are great and none work together lol. considering that i farmed the hell outta the pioneer cavern for ratio, my luck with DEF substats happened to be perfect for aventurine, as he hits 99/127 crit ratio in battle with 4.8k DEF

Increases the wearer's Effect RES by 12/16/18/20%
For every 100 of DEF the wearer has, increases the DMG dealt by 0.8/1/1.1/1.2% to a max increase of 32/40/44/48%
If you are prioritizing 4000 DEF, you will get the maximum benefits of this Light Cone anyways of 48% DMG boost with some decent effect res to go with it. Not to mention it's Free to Play friendly.
I think it's arguably better than Concert for two, but maybe not since you have to stack more DEF as main stat?
On the topic of possible other Light Cones, I think Trend of the Universal Market is also decent for Aventurine. Since it gives DEF% and Dot that scales to his DEF stat.

I didn't realize This is Me has such high base Def, I think I'll start picking that up instead of getting a second copy of the Erudition LC. I have enough def subs to get to 4k with 2 def mains if I use it.
Been waiting months to replace gepard in my jing/topaz/luocha/gepard team, as i'm trying to make a machine-gun-FUA team. If Ave is strong enough i may even take out luocha for another FUA dps like ratio, since theres not really a harmony/nihility/abundance FUAer (of course i do have sparkle so might slap her in too with her between-turn buff that affects FUA)
I'm really confused as to how his ult works, is it an external buff to the crit dmg like (base ATK) (dmg bonus) (Crit) (aventurine ult)
Or does it simply add onto the Crit damage like (ATK)(dmg bonus)(Crit+aventurine ult)
It just adds CRIT DMG
