- Join me as I assemble this mood board for volume 4 of Roxy’s journal of Stitchery which will start in July and had the newly announced theme of Treasure Hunt. A fabulous opportunity to curate my stash and arrange a selection of fabrics, textiles, threads and other haberdashery items that can be drawn from for my ‘Burgundy Bonheur’ piece which takes inspiration from French General’s bonheur de jour collection, a gorgeous storeroom treasure box from L’uccello Melbourne and fabrics collected from my travels and second hand hauls.
I’d love for you to join in the fun - let me know in the comments if you have any questions about how to take part.
And thank you as always for subscribing, liking and commenting.
Stay tuned for the next videos which will be my mood boards for:

I'm excited also. Using tea dyed fabrics for background. Heart theme. Using couched yarn to make 9 sections. Will be framed. So much fun 😊
What a wonderful plan you have Julie! Really look forward to hearing about and seeing your creation! Cheers, Christine 🤗
I LOVE those colours and embellishments. ❤
Thank you my friend - so much beauty to play with! This is great for bringing it all together. Cheers, Christine
Love watching your process. Beautiful. I especially love the linens.
Thank you - it was really fun sharing the creation. I had forgotten how lovely some of the pieces were! Cheers, Christine
I love your choices for your burgundy color way. I look forward to participating for the first time. I love your videos and waiting eagerly to see your other two color ways. Thank you
Thanks so much Debra and I am thrilled that you will be participating this time! So exciting! Cheers, Christine 💛
Hi Christine. I can hear the excitement in your voice. Me too! 🤗🤗 I love what you have pulled together. I think I’ve decided to go with shades of blue and red. I might pull in a few more colors or I could change my mind altogether. I’m kinda on the fence right now. I’m so excited for our first prompt. It’s so exciting!! Hugs ❤️💕🙂
So happy you will be participating Linda and your colour scheme sounds great. Big hugs my friend, Christine 💛
Love all your treasure, I love the idea of using a box frame. I have done the last 3 of Rachel and Sarah’s stitchery projects and can’t wait to have a look through my stash and find some forgotten treasure. Thanks. Xx
I think the box frame will be super as I definitely want to include some more dimensional elements. I really look forward to seeing what you select from your stash and what you create! Cheers, Christine
So much to choose from. I need to go out thrifting for sure! Thanks for your inspiration.
Many thanks Ingrid - enjoy some wonderful thrifting adventures as you build your treasure stash! 🤗 cheers, Christine
What an amazing stash of treasures for this next project. Such lovely colours. Tfs Hugs Susanna xx ♥️🧵🪡
Thank you Susanna - looking forward to your return and seeing what you create with your found treasures and stash. Cheers, Christine 💛
Amazing moodboard for your Burgundy Bonheur! So much to choose from and everything so beautiful! Your pure joy is really contagious! Thank you,Christine ❤❤❤
Love sharing my joy with you! Look forward to seeing or hearing what you plan to create - hope you’ll be taking part! 🤗 cheers, Christine
Holy cow! 😮 You ARE excited!! This mood board is amazing. Love the colors you’ve chosen and can hardly wait for the next two.
This many choices would be totally overwhelming for me personally. I’m thinking about joining but being that it goes 6 months (yes?) I am not sure I can do it as I’m hoping for a trip in fall that may take a month, maybe more. I guess I wouldn’t miss too much as a month would only be 2 prompts. I also struggle with not knowing where the project is going…I know that sounds crazy but I like to know what the end result of a project is in order to be able to picture what I need to do to get there. As I’ve said many times, your imagination amazes me.
I love how close you are to 1000 subscribers! You more than deserve to have that and many more.
Hugs.
Haha, so excited! Still! I can understand what you say about the overwhelm and not knowing what’s coming being challenging. I would love for you to take part but understand if not also. Or maybe you can wait until we’re a few prompts in to get a better idea of the direction it is taking? Whatever the choice, I’ll look forward to stitching while watching your videos. Cheers my friend, Christine 💛

Loving the burgundy colours and all your ideas, so much inspiration thanks for sharing x
Thank you Lorna! I really enjoy sharing ideas and hearing what others are doing too. Cheers, Christine
I feel very special to be one of your people! I love looking at your thrift hauls and fabric purchases, as we say, eye candy. I don't think I will be joining Vol 4 this year (doesn't mean I won't do it some other year), my Vol 3 piece is a wall hanging about the same size as what you are planning for your Vol 4 pieces. I still have quite a bit of space on my Vol 3, am still enjoying the stitching (it's my first slow stitch project), and have a list of items still to add (many, many visitors to my garden) and I know if I am distracted by Vol 4 I won't get back to finish Vol 3. While it may be hard to decide when a slow stitch piece is "done done" it's pretty easy to know when it is not done. So I plan to follow your next journey and expect I will pick up tips and inspirations for whatever my next slow stitch piece is.
A kindred spirit for sure! I feel very Anne of Green Gables when I say that but I really do mean it. And isn’t it wonderful that we can follow our own timeline for our pieces - after all it’s meant to be a slow pursuit and so we should meander where our desire takes us. You’re right about the challenge of knowing when something is done or not, but also the clarity when you know something still wants more (I say that as though a piece has its own spirit which as I type I kind of think they do take on a character and they do guide us in our choices of what more to add). Probably time for me to sleep 😂 cheers, Christine
Love, love, love this mood board. Definitely my fave colours!! Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Thank you Joanne - such a rich and indulgent palette - so much fun to be had! Cheers, Christine

Thank you Karen - really appreciate you watching and commenting. I have had so much fun digging into my stash to create these mood boards. I probably have way too much to select from as I keep finding more fabrics and embellishments to add to each collection! Cheers, Christine 🤗💛
Thank you Christine. After watching this video, my fog about what I would incorporate into my Roxy's Vol. 4 Treasure Hunt has been lifted. You have helped me decide to join in and create my own version of a Treasure Hunt. I bet you make 1000 subscribers soon!
Yay to fog lifting! Thanks so much Valerie and I can’t wait to see what you create! Cheers, Christine

We would never have guessed you were excited 😂So many beautiful fabrics and threads to choose from, that in itself is a daunting task. Looking forward to seeing the other boards.
