- This finalizes the series for all the acoustic pianos at my school, which I had a lot of fun recording. Though naturally, there was also a lot of nervousness.
Perhaps my favorite of Tom's. It has a little of everything, slow and mournful, loud jumpy and something in between.
We'll see what happens this summer, maybe I will record ragtime, some medleys, or maybe some classical music (not likely).
Recorded on the 2nd of June in 2023 at around 9 in the morning at my school, using a Samsung Galaxy S23, S7 Edge and a Zoom H1n. In this video I decided to combine the audio from the S23 and the Zoom H1n which I found resulted in a more full and rich sound.
This is a Swedish Thalén piano, manufactured some time around the 90s.
This piano I feel is a jazz and ragtime piano, kind of like this tune.
It's definitely my favorite piano out of the 3, since you can feel the lower strings vibrating through the air and make tunes like this very stimulating and enjoyable to play. Видеоклипы
Let Tom see this. He would be so pleased another younger guy is keeping this extraordinary music alive. This so really cool.
Excellent performance!
Excellent!!!
Excellent job! Beautiful playing of this great piece
Damn good rendition of a brilliant piece of music.
You’re really good! 🎹🎵👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😁 I’m here because of the algorithm, and now I’m a subscriber.
Super melody is very smooth and calm. You play very beautifully. Does anyone happen to know where to get The Stygian Waltzes sheet music ?
wow, you're really good.
Why no more uploads? You are really good. You give a youthful fresh take on what you play. I hope you can get back to posting.
Just great!
This is my first time hearing this piece, as well as my favorite rendition of it.
Haha! 😊
Well played!
very well done! Do you know Tom's Idaho Rag? in a lot of ways this piece reminds me of it.
Audio is great! I like the idea of layering over the two sources, it gives you room sound and the detail from the H1n at the back of the piano. This one is great! I need a midi of it desperately, could you hand play one for me maybe?
This melody is so sentimental, it's unreal. Great performance.
Performances of Tom's work by anyone else but him usually aren't that good, but your video is an exception. You have good dynamics, phrasing, pedaling, and most importantly technique! Great!
