He also has Uncrowned Arms Mastership EX giving all his traits a +1 as long as his true name is not revealed. It also reverses the stats other Servants could feel. So Servants would feel he is utterly weak when in reality he his a walking Moon on Dark Armor.

Kay Kay i understand what you are saying, but if the whole point of grand servant’s strength is their summoning, if they were summoned in the same way, would they still just be better. I’m mostly referring to Solomon. If Gil is also summoned as a grand servant then who wins? I can’t think of anything aside Avalon that can withstand a fully powered Ea, since it basically returns things to genesis.

Ozymandias' temple is known to have the former in terms of AntiPurge defenses. Also it doesn't break reality itself, EA is an anti-world Noble phantasm that specializes in breaking Reality marbles, which is why it's known to be so overpowered, which doesn't help in getting past the weakness Nasu put to it, anti purge defenses.
Also Philosophers stone doesn't help if it's in GoB, only if he thinks to take out beforehand realizing it'll help him use gob in the temple and survive a little longer, although that won't do anything due to Gob only helping with fighting sphinxes infinitely regenerating as Ozy shoots part of his mount shooting lasers due to his temple being fine....
Oh wait did I forget to mention this is a skill and technique not a np. The fact Gil doesn't even have access to this makes this impossible to happen in the first place. Don't forget to read your character materials

Hey wasn't Gilgamesh armor that can up his magic resistance from E to Bigger? And some other armors inside his Gate of Babylon as well he can increase his speed with another ton of iten inside his Gate?
Two things that bothered me in this video. 1. Gil's armor is crazy strong. 2. Gil has no mental defenses? He's the only servant whos ego is so big that he can repel the Grail's influence. Even Saber who has crazy magic resistance turned into Alter, meanwhile Gil basically took a swim in the Grail and it did nothing to him.
Alter saber is also adorable, with her huge craving for snack food lol.
Fun fact: Gilgamesh's hatred for the gods for killing Enkidu caused him to lower his OWN divinity from A+ to B.

1:30:30 No, Gil and Cu Chulainn fought each other in the first Fate Route, and survived for 12 hours without a master. (His Protection from Arrows and battle continuation probably helped him out).

I think you missunderstand Gate of Babylon a bit. It doesn't only have swords and weapons inside, but all the treasures of humanity. That's what makes Gil so dangerous. Besides raw power, he is the most flexible servant in existence. In your Scathach example you mentioned that she has him beat with her tools and skills. That's the thing though. Gil can pull all the counters he wants from the Gate. Anti-magic shields, amulets and elixirs for her runes. Device that scrambles her cognition to lock her wisdom of Dun Scaith. Whole range of mobility tools, invisibility, barriers and so on to not let her go close.
But then again. Gil is not a character so much as a plot device. He was canonicly made the strongest, so he can defeat everyone he needs to, as long as the narrative calls for it. The same goes for his enemies. He can certainly loose, but he's not called the strongest without a reason.
Btw. I'm surprised you haven't mentioned Romulus. I know he's a joke in-game, but he's a real powerhouse in lore. Perfect Imperial Priviledge baby!
Romulus may have good skills, but he still has no real answer to the Gate of Babylon. And his own NP's just don't cut it.
@@SuperAmaton Are you sure? His spear is said to rival Rhongomyniad. I say that's high enough on power scale to blow projectiles away for him to get close to Gil. Aaaand since he has Agility A, (same as Karna and Scathach) he should be able to do it fast enough. With his IP he should be able to gain even additional help with this.
I wouldn't understand it in that way, but i think i did underestimate him a bit.

Pretty sure his lance which's beat even Rhon can shit on Gil. For reference, Ea power is about 4000, Rhon power is 3 000 000 unit, and the was when she wasn't fighting anyone, just want to destroy a village.

One thing to mention that I think is relevant for the Abigail section is that, when Gil was coated in the grail mud (a physical manifestation of all the world's evils), he was completely unaffected due to his vast ego. It's not quite the same thing as what Abigail does to him, but I think he would fair better then you guys say he would.
Also his armor makes up for his low magic resistance

Valens Christian Yosua 10-12 hours of battling against the strongest hero in the Nasuverse, still a massive feat.
He lost against one of the most OP normal servants in the world? well no shit. most servants would get wiped out with a few attacks from gil.(even heracules didnt survive that long with 12 lives). Fights normally end in seconds if not minutes. He survived against gil for HALF A DAY, taking barrage after barrage of noble phantasms (some he is potentially weak to/with special effects).
LoDsuper technically his protection from arrows is what allowed him to dodge all projectile noble Phantasms Gilgamesh kept throwing at him.

They use some other version of their bullshit. For the religious ones some kind of super weird 'absolution' that usually means sending the soul to heaven or obliterating it in it's return to Nirvana. For the fighters some kind of probability manipulating shit that allows them to break physics and create undodge-able attacks (Kojiro) create new possibilities and and never give up the fight (musashi) imbue the concept of death unto things that don't die or even originate from the earth totally (King hassan)...target the mind and soul (Shakespeare) Or in Gils case, literally have a solution to each and every problem.

@@goldenbrigain7031 The speed blitz he'll do alone should deal with Kojiro, Musashi (probably) and most other servents who don't have instinct or the reaction speed to counter/defend his attacks, probability and other hax be damned since he's already breaking the laws of physics. Tho I'm saying speed blitz the way it's described in his NP is making it seem like time halt has been employed so make of the what you will.
King Hassan is far from a regular servent even taking a regular class container into account and it'll come down to if Dantes can kill him without taking a hit at risk of inta-death hax.
I really doubt Shakes or anyone else in a standard class container can attack his mind considering his skills (Determination of Steel 'EX' and Wisdom of Desperation), his class (Avengers are driven by grudges, hate and vengeance so much so it's probably become something like Mental Pollution) and the fact that he's normally seen helping Guda recover from instances where his soul or mind is in danger while it's seemingly implied Dantes frequently deals with such cases aside from Guda's. If anything whoever attempting the attack might get it turned onto them.
The case they made in the video for Karna against Gilgamesh can be said even more so for Dantes as he too can falsify his stats and even his class. Nothing short of a charged EA will kill him as his sword spam would be dodged, chains are useless and uncharged EA while powerful has been shown to not be lethal. Any hit that doesn't kill him outright can be recovered from with a temporary amp to his stats.
I am not making these abilities up, you can find them on his in-game profile or on typemoon/grandorder wikis.

But nobody is invincible in fate, is what I meant to get across. If Gil could pull his head out of his ass and use the root of origin more often he'd be badass but BB herself shows why that's about as good as useless in becoming invincible.
I mean fuck, the entire premise of the last arc was fighting a nigh-invincible demon god with more raw power than the planet he was born on, who was also capable of incinerating all life in the world multiple times by doing it across time itself. All on top of being completely immune to servants at a basis and about 12 other different types of hax including possessing control of all magecraft (or at least the current system used in the world he helped foster, not sure about older or more esoteric stuff).
He got killed by a dude who burns his time watching a genderbent version of his worst enemy play around as half pop star half fap material because of a glorified one ring move. Fuck, a random Japanese kid just so happened to unlock the perfect reality marble, one of the most not only powerful but distinctly known for being inflexible abilities in the world, to kill essentially a walking armory built upon the basis of all of mankinds wisdom being horribly misused.
The entire new arc is fighting an alien super-being who near genocides the dominant species of a planet and completely rewrote the laws of reality (since textures are literally just the rules of how reality works on a planet) on said world, while committing acts other gods, themselves being of alien descent, couldn't match even in realities where they were stronger than ever before. And somehow, winning against THAT with the power of friendship and hax.
Dantes is a badass. What he's not is God. Nobody is. That's all I was trying to get across.

Yeah I agree that no one is really invincible in fate it's one of the things I love about the franchise, just that it irks me when some people tend to discount servents like Dantes, Artoria, Siegfried, Circe, Arjuna etc just because they get outperformed by others in the same class and/or rarity in-game or because of some tier list ranking that's only for the game.

Given what happened in the previous arc I'd say it's not THAT farfetched. They've met a lot of powerful servents already so it's possible especially when you consider the foreigners and certain alter egos. If the other 2 come back as alter egos as well then even better. Take into account they've already been acquainted with and earn the favor of some Grands then it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch tho I hope it's well written and executed so people don't compare it to Naruto's final arc levels of bs.
Yep he's badass and powerful but not unstoppable. Even tho he's one of my favorites I won't claim he can beat someone I know he can't beat which is why I said regular servents as extra class servents are generally absurd and powerful enough to make you get why they can't normally be summoned.

@@fluffdafire157 Herc vs. Gil would have been a much more fair match had Herc not been completely prioritizing keeping Ilya safe. Gil himself said that if Herc didn't focus on fighting instead of defending then he would lose.

Honestly I think Edmond vs Gil would be interesting as he can literally break space time with his agility, has an amazing strategic mind, and could likely end the fight before he gets Ea in his hand even.
Avenger of Shinjuki would be another interesting match up for similar reasons
I think Edmond genuinely wins 100% of the time. Gil would absolutely disregard him as a threat and launch GoB. Even if edmond does get hit, Attendre et Esperer activates - not only healing him but also BOOSTING ALL HIS STATS. With having seen how GoB works, the natural next step for Ed boy is to just Enfer Château D'If. Gils armour and divinity does jack-fucking-all when Ed burns him because the fire burns Gils soul.
The fight is over before Ea even hits the board.
Its no stretch to expect it to play out like this either because of Gils arrogance and Ed's battle cunning and intelligence.

Almost all of the servants on this list had fairly high divinity which means the fight would be over if Gil could wrap them in his chains. And the chains arent like Ea where Gil needs to really respect his opponents to use it since he uses it almost all the time.

- Rider Quetzalcoatl
While Nightingale can't suppress Gil's Enuma Elish and utilize her own offensive capabilities at the same time, Quetz can. Her Xiuhcoatl Noble Phantasm would keep Gil from using Ea (though notably it only blocks the true name release, so Gate of Babylon is probably unaffected) while continuing her own attack. And while she is highly vulnerable to Enkidu, Gil is equally defenseless against Quetz's magic attacks, especially Piedra del Sol (which actually lowers her divinity level, which would help her against Enkidu).
- Lancer Artoria Pendragon (and Alter)
I'm not sure if this falls under the Artoria you already discussed, but I thought Rhongomyniad is worth considering. Both it and Enuma Elish are effectively destruction beyond description, and it may simply come down to who pulls the trigger first. This is a situation where the servants' personalities would likely come into play, as Gil is far less likely to take the fight seriously than either LArtoria.
- Avenger Edmond Dantes
This might be the most interesting one, because his abilities seem to counter Gil nicely. Attendre, Esperer would allow him to tank a few Gate of Babylon hits easily (and raise his parameters temporarily each time), and his Wisdom of Predicament skill would most certainly come into play against someone as dangerous as Gilgamesh. Most importantly however, Enfer Chateau d'If specifically allows him to "escape even abstract prisons such as time and space." The way that it is phrased makes it sound like it could remove him from existence temporarily, much like Avalon, to continue straight through Enuma Elish.

@@mangoshake servant alignments are actually just how the servant themselves see themselves. that's why Ereshkigal is chaotic evil if I recall correctly. also, all of the above fights depend entirely on whether or not Gil's willing to use the all seeing star. Which notably also allows gil to see the true name and form of noble Phantasms and the ones from his gate at least after they've been released. which means in all timelines he 'accepts' the noble phantasms he releases he knows how they work. Even discounting the instant win strategy he'll get he'll also have a veritable arsenal of noble phantasms growing by the second even before the fight starts that he'll be able to do more with than just throw at the enemy.

This is how I interpret it playing out in my head:
Gill being dragged off by Scáthach: "Lancer. I command you to assist me in my escape from this Mongrel wench!"
Cú: the colour drains from his face completely. "Not after you just signed your own death warrant buddy…"
Scáthach: lets out a huge aura of killing intent. "I'm a 'Mongrel wench', now am I?" A sadistic smile creeps onto her face. "Looks like you need more 'training' then I expected. Lets try doubling… no, tripling what I had in mind for you then, shall we?"
Gill: "…Mother, help me…" Cú waves them off in the background.
Cú: "I'd say it was nice knowing him… but it an't." Walks off to go fishing in a ugly Hawaiian shirt with smug smile plastered on his face as Gill's screams of pain/death echo in the background.
Colin Masterson we need this because this would be hilarious though I do think 🤔 scathatch does have a high probability of beating Gil I dunno with all the phantasms in the gate the thing is it’s anyone’s game. That’s kinda the bad thing with the character of Gilgamesh it truly depends on how serious and his mindset in which how fast he’ll pull out big giant noble phantasms (not counting EA cause that’s just plain broken though I like the argument that scathatch could transport out real quick and avoid it) so who knows 🤷🏻♂️

Karna vs Gilgamesh - full out battle, no stops pulled, no stupid plot deus ex mach... that'd be an epic battle
Amelia Sama agreed that would actually be a pretty even fight going blow for blow the only thing I could say in Gil’s favor is chains of heaven as Karna is a demigod and Karna’s sense of honor
However on Karna’s side I think his armor would allow him to tank probably quite a few projectiles from the gate and then there’s his final noble phantasm that would probably force Gil to use EA or he’ll just be poof gone

In reality, if any weapons from earth, heaven and underworld was used against him, he was the only person in the world who could still stand without a dent.

In reality, even gil was not even close enough to karna. I'm sure that didn't showed even 3% of the powers of karna legend in the anime.

Fun fact for Berserker Hercules: Illya sealed Madness Enhancement. She already knew the parameters of Hercules and decided to only unseal the Madness Enhancement as an emergency.
Looking through the comments I’m actually surprised that Shuten Douji has been seemly forgotten. Especially considering Raikou was brought up for consideration versus Gil. Raikou has to cheap shot Shuten by putting her to sleep in order to get the job done.
Lore wise, Ibaraki is supposed to be the strongest of the Oni of Mount Ooe and is wary of Tamamo to the point of being scared just thinking of her. This is because of Tamamo’s pedigree as one of Japan’s Great Monsters. Of which there are three. Apart from Tamamo, the only other member we have any information on is Shuten-Douji. It’s stated multiple times that Shuten far outclasses Ibaraki despite Ibaraki’s incredible strength. Shuten isn't afraid or even wary of Tamamo. Which in my opinion, says a lot.
Looking at Shuten’s Parameters, we can see they are all quite high except for luck. STR/END/AGI/MANA/LCK/NP -> A/B/B/A+/D/B. By comparison to a servant like Berserker Heracles, Shuten comes only a tad behind in raw stats save for Mana which she actually beats him slightly at. This taking into account his Madness enhancement but not her Demonic Nature of Oni which I’ll get to real quick.
Taking a look at her personal skills we can see that the three she has are all incredibly powerful.
Alcoholic Scent of a Fruit (A) can make a target “dead drunk” from a mere sigh, tone of voice, or even a gaze. Those without magic resistance have thier thoughts melted in an instant. So if Gil isn't wearing his armor he theoretically would auto lose, where as if he is, it’s a matter of how long would the effects take to go into motion and whether or not he would notice what is happening.
Demonic Nature of Oni (A) is said to be a combination skill composed of Natural Monster, Monstrous Strength, Charisma, Mana Burst, etc. As we don’t have the information on what “etc” would be, can only look at what the former mentioned skills can do at the same level. Natural Monster seems to grant STR and END. Monstrous Strength increases STR by a grade for an undermined period of time based on level. Charisma isn't really applicable here. Finally, Mana Burst can be used to increase one's Strength, Defense, and Speed based on it's level and how big of a mana pool a servant has to pull from. Comparatively speaking Altria, has the same rank in Mana Burst as Shuten does in her skill except Shuten has a bigger mana pool to pull from.
Battle Continuation (A+) is a skill we are all familiar with so I wont go far into it. I will however, mention that Shuten's rank in this skill is above Berserker Heracles, only matched by Archer Heracles, and only outmatched by Grandpa Hassan.
Finally, we have her two noble phantasms. Multitude of Colors - Providential Oni Poison (B) poisons the field and bestows negative statuses and erodes the body until only bones remain. It also gives her an awesome sword. Though, I can't imagine the negative effects of this noble phantasm would come into play. But speaking of bones, Bone Collector (B) is pretty scary. It's said to literally allow the user to de-bone an opponent without bloodshed. "The purpose of doing this isn't always to kill the opponent, but if she feels like doing it, this operates as a Noble Phantasm with an exceedingly high probability for instant death." Yikes.
That being said, I'd say that this fight is majority in Gil's favor. Depending on how seriously he treats Shuten and whether he knows her true identity would shape how the fight would turn out. While Shuten is no Abby in appearing to be defenseless due to those horns, she's still a little girl and an expert at hiding her true power level and intentions. Honestly, I'd argue it would only take one hit from Shuten to kill Gil. The only question is if she can guile Gil into taking her lightly until it's too late.
Another thing to keep in mind regarding Shuten is that Assassin isn't her best class. According to Kintoki her best class, Berserker, is supposed to be absolutely terrifying, all the more so considering Oni aren't negatively affected by the Berserker class' usual drawbacks.

So I'm noticing a trend where you guys are downplaying Gate of Babylon like it's not a big deal and I'm not okay with that. Gil, even when "not serious", constantly rains down dozens upon hundreds of potentially A and A+ tier Noble Phantasm, at absurd speeds. Unless your name is Karna, you aren't casually getting near him. "Getting close" is the part where 85% of Servants die.
Depends on the servant in question. Lancelot was able to dodge the weapons on solid ground and even grab them from mid-air. A servant with A rank agility should be able to doge their way to Gil if they can keep it up. Don't forget that some servants can flat-out cheat, like my example of Okita. She basically teleports right into Gil's face and shanks him in the throat.

I’d defend these guys’ interpretation for three main reasons.
The first is that, as they pointed out, a Japanese school boy canonically closed that gap. Granted, under very specific circumstances, but still if he can do it I see no reason why a servant with high Agility (w/ no divinity), a skill to tank hits, or another trump card couldn’t close the gap.
Second, we say the Gate’s NPs are A(ish) ranked, but this has always seemed conceptually strange to me given the NP Parameter tends to describe the power of an item/ability. Yet, Gil uses them basically as mundane projectiles. Which, to me, unless he is using their individual attributes basically makes that NP parameter on the individual blades moot. Maybe they are sharper or something, but that rating doesn’t seem to have much bearing on the way Gil applies them. Which says a lot about his personality.
Which is the third thing, Gil’s personality is rank D for douche. He is so arrogant that even when pressed he often doesn’t open up the full power of the Gate which often costs him and opens up opportunities for people who really should get minced (looking squarely at Shirou). In general, the longer a fight goes, the more Gil seems to apply GoB. If a Servant like Scathach, for example, went full boar from the get-go I’m not sure Gil would ever have the opportunity to use GoB at its fullest since he, 9/10 times, ramps up his usage of it as fights progress in canon.
IMO, GoB on paper is devastating and I’d agree with you if Gil was a more articulate, cautious person who took close note of the weapons’ individual traits in his treasury. But he just isn’t that person.

I agree with most of your points. The only thing is that it was mentioned that the reason Gil doesn't have Magic Resistance is because he doesn't need it as Gate of Babylon has anti-magic items in it quote "The state of his Magic Resistance matters little, as he is able to neutralize most magecraft with his many items that defend against it. His armor and a shield are able to repel A rank magecraft with ease."
This is similar to Siegfried as the reason he doesn't have magic resistance is because of his invulnerability NP.
This also includes defensive items like:
-Auto-Defensor (自動防御, Jidō Bōgyo?) - A series of golden discs that floats in the air to intercept attacks coming within range, able to be set up so as to protect an entire floor of a building. At twenty meters, it automatically sends out an innumerable series of small lightning bolts to strike down the target. It is possible for attacks like the arrows shot by True Archer to slip through the defenses despite the great speed of the lightning.
-A Mirror Shield used to effortlessly repel strong magecraft

I know i'm late with this but Edmond Dantès is a strong guess in my opinion he isn't a grand servant as far as i know lore wise he is incredibly strong and he has tools to outplay EA his noble phantasm and skills are all multitools. I think that he has a really good chance of beating gil

It needs to be noted that aside from Enkidu who can stalemate, Gil can only be beaten by a servant when arrogant, period. Parameters don't matter if they're not even capable of getting past the gate spam, which Heracles and Lancelot (in the original zero LN) were unable to do with A and A+ agility stats respectively. Note that the upper limits of how much GOB can fire at max capacity isn't seen anywhere but strange/fake. If Heracles and Lancelot can't even withstand lesser barrages, why are we assuming that other servants can do so on physical stats alone when these parameter juggernauts clearly failed? If one needs to see him at his best, they need to only see his strange/fake feats where he opens the gate this wide:

In addition, a serious Gil will use Sha Naqba Imuru in conjunction with Gate to not only fire this rate of projectiles, but projectiles that counter whatever the hero is weak to based on his or her/myth. That means the anti divine weapons are coming out for Karna/Ozy, anti dragon ones for Artoria, etc. There are only 4 characters that have been shown to counter this barrage, Enkidu, Emiya, Artoria with Avalon and Alcides and they don't counter it with "parameters". Enkidu and Emiya have their own swordspam, Avalon is Avalon, and Alcides has the pelt of the Nemean Lion. We know Emiya can't win because a grail boosted version of him lost to an inferior Gil in Angelica. So yea, it's really just Enkidu, Avalon Artoria, and Alcides here.
The whole out-tricking Gil isn't valid either because he's more likely to trick someone like Arjuna as opposed to the other way around due to Sha Naqba exceeding the capabilities of Clairvoyance C.
Did we also just gloss over the fact that Enkidu nullifies Karna, Arjuna, Atilla, Ozy, Abigail, and Raikou as they are divine? What about the fact that Sha Naqba removes the "information" problem on Gil's side?
Then there's Ea which when unrestrained in strange/fake was splitting the world apart, The only reason it didn't was because of Enkidu's own Enuma Elish. This might be enough to deal with Artoria? Would killing the planet and flying to another one (like in the ending of Extra/CCC) constitute as a win?

Lastly, because of how the Gate Works, it has a prototype of everything humans ever invented and will ever invent in the past/present/future in actual history, any myth ,or legend. It's a walking plot device beyond the ability to sword spam and what has already been shown to be inside of it.

Very well thought out! Though there is one noticable problem with it comes to your Artoria argument. It's that in fact Anti-World NPs like Ea can't actually destroy the Earth. As stated by Da Vinci in F/GO
"To begin with, even if you release the full power of a Top Servant's Noble Phantasm, it still can't completely destroy the planet. Anti-Planetary Noble Phantasm...even if such a thing existed... Sure, if you want to get technical Ea kills "The World" instead, in that it peels off the layer of the planet inhabitable by humans AKA, the World.

I guess but that better said. She could just invoke Avalon and just stay like that(If I remember correctly. They never really stated how long she could keep Avalon up.) But that not only be a very unfun, but also a pretty boring way to stalemate.
Granted even if He could/tired. There is little to no doubt that the Counter Force would intervene.
So basically Nobu vs. Gil could play out like Squirrel Girl vs. The World in the Marvel comics, where she beats Thanos offscreen as an offhanded gag, except it actually makes sense in-universe.

Something about Alcides: he actually has no divinity. His master and the grail mud caused it to be removed and causing him to become who he is. Meaning he lost his biggest weakness he had as a berserker.
His valor skill has been demoted to an E rank due to his corruption of the grail mud making him vulnerable to mental assaults.
And finally he has one more noble phantasm, Reincarnation Pandora, which allows him to steal Noble Phantasms. This is why Alcides wanted Gilgamesh to use Ea, so he could steal it and possibly use it against him or at least prevent him from using it.
Then we have Kings orders, the twelve labors manifested as a Noble Phantasm. We only know how 4 of them work in Fate, The Nemian pelt which grants immunity to all weapons made by man, however attacks like punches, slashes from claws or fire can harm Alcides. The Pelt will at worst have a few holes in it. The stymphalian birds can be summoned to attack and distract the opponent. The Goddess of war, the belt that belongs to the amazons and greatly increases the users Divinity, Strength, Endurance, Agility, and Mana parameters. Its strength however has a limit due to Mystery in modern society being weak.
And finally we have Cerberus, the legendary divine beats who guards Hades, each breath it makes is poisonous and its fangs are incredibly sharp and can even act independently. But it has been weakened by Alcides lack of Hades' blessing and possibly his divinity.
Edit: So we know what his fourth and Sixth labor manifest as, the fourth is effectively Guts but with a full heal, and the sixth is in fact the four Mares of Diomedes.
Can he steal Ea tho? In one of description of condition to use Ea is having inherited some sort rank of divinity(Which gil has it at it's max) and since you say alcides has no divinity he cant use it.

@@SeanRey821 The requirement to use Ea is to be Gilgamesh. It isn't about divinity, it is that there is only one person, period, who can use it. Most NPs can only be used by their respective Heroic Spirit, but Ea is unique in that "Gil only" is part of the effect ingrained in the NP itself, so even if it gets stolen, Alceides can't use it. BUT, by stealing Ea, he would also prevent Gil from using it, which is even more important.
He would then lose, because he just stole Ea and that would piss Gil off like nothing else, but he'd deal a severe blow to Gil permanently.
one of the biggest reasons gil was weak to Alcides is that he has the nemeon lion skin which blocks all things created by mankind which are what all of gils weapons are besides EA which is creation of the world given form in sword

that's just a gameplay mechanic...just like vasavi shakti doing more damage to divine servants when according to the lore it gets the anti divine trait only because its so op that it can kill a god because of raw power
It is a gameplay mechanic for a reason, like how Bryn would damage people she would love and that trait only applies to heroic servants she considers worthy.
All other foreigners are weak to Enuma Elish except for Abby so there must be a reason for that exception.

I think Edmond Dantes might actually stand a chance at beating Gilgamesh. From a parameter standpoint, he matches Gilgamesh's strength, agility, and mana while beating him in endurance, though his luck is literally questionable. However, his first Noble Phantasm, Monte Cristo Mythology, bolsters all of his physical parameters while using magic for attacks and concealing his class and stats. Given his low magic resistance, this would put Gilgamesh at a disadvantage in close quarters and might even through off his clairvoyance skill. Dantes's second Noble Phantasm, Enfer Chateau d'If, lets him move so fast that he can create speed clones of himself for simultaneous attacks. In F/GO, the description also says that some might even say he could stop time. In other words, it could be possible for him to counter the Gate of Babylon by creating a speed clone for every portal Gilgamesh opens up, and then Dantes could just zoom in and blast Gil in the face before he could even say Enuma Elish.

I think your putting to much stock in Stats, Stats In Fate usually Don't nean sqwat but as a general indication of Strength for example Sasaki Kojiro had an Agility Stat of A but Emyia with a D or C rank Agility stat(Cant Remember exactly) Was Able to Match Him it's the Same thing with Herc and Gil during UBW Herc had am A-Rank Agi stat Gil had a C Rank Agi Stat if stats Mattered all that much even with G.O.B he should've been Blitzed but he Wasn't even in his Fights with Enkidu, He has and A-Rank Agi stat while he had a C-Rank Agi stat but Enkidu never Blitzed Gil so this whole thing of putting stock in Stat Parameters is iffy
Also even if Dantes Concealed His Class and Parameters Shabq Naq imuru would still allow Gil to Grasp his Power level And once he does he Gets serious and If he's Serious Dantes isn't gonna Beat him

@@erosenseiamvs1289 the stats are pretty inconsistent true, but most top tier servants have gilgamesh beat in hand to hand combat(agility, strenght, skill). If shirou can beat him hand to hand hes completely fucked against most servants.
And when it comes to enkidu it never really gets to close quarters. Enkidu spams his clay weapons and gil spams his staffs until they both run out of shit to throw.
Gil is extremely fast in the sense that he can open up portals that throw shit instantly, but his actual physical speed is not really good. Its pretty mediocre tbh.
I loved the presentation of this. I’ve always enjoyed this sort of discussion, but the nebulous nature of Nasuverse lore makes many forums/threads feel like they degenerate into a “who has more useless nerd knowledge” contest rather than a celebration of this fictional concept is cool, and even if it has a low possibility of happening within the established rules, lets explore it anyway - because it’s cool.
A lot more channels are making the lore available w/o having to hit the lexicon that is the wiki or getting a copy of “materials” works. I think that’s pretty freakin’ great.

Cu and Gil have met, and they don't care for each other. Serious personality clash. In the Fate route Cu stalls Gil for half a day in the basement of Kotomine Church after letting Shirou and Rin go because he wouldn't follow the order to kill them. Cu can't get in close enough, nor was there an opportunity to really strike back at him, trying to use Gae Bolg would mean standing still so he couldn't do much except dodge. At the end of those 12 hours Gil finally gets it that he can't pin Cu down with the Gate because of Protection of Arrows, so Chains it is due to Cu's divinity. Cu dies at the end of Fergus' sword, Caladbolg, that Gil pulled out of the Gate.

but opposite of what was said in the vid artoria cant move or attack when using avalon as a shield so any battle between arturia and gil that involves avalon becomes an automatic draw as neither can kill the other.
but without avalon arturia has nothing to defend against gils attacks either and he can just 360 gob spam her to death without giving her the chance to get close.

@@uteriel282 This is incorrect. Arturia can indeed move freely while using Avalon; in the fate route she goes through EA while charging an excaliblast with no issues and in Garden of Avalon we see various retellings of Artoria fighting while having Avalon activated.

Other Servants that could [potentially] stand up to Gilgamesh would be Dantes, Merlin, Romulus and Siegfried. I'd put in Thor, Shuten and Proto Arthur as well but we either A: Dont have enough info on them to make a really good guess. B: Dont know what their capabilities are in other, stronger classes and thus cant make an informed decision or C: Probably dont count because you could argue they have the same capabilities as Arturia, respectively.
I would also like to see a discussion on whether or not First Folio would beat Gil or not. After all, First Folio hits mentally sound targets even harder than those who are more hung up on their own personal tragedies. Willy Shakes might just be able to do the same thing Abigail does but without needing access to an Eldritch God to do so.

Depending on what one's definition of "Physical Strength" is, Archer Gil could get hit incredibly hard by it and leave him, if it were just the sins that he did in life then I could actually believe that Gil could power through it easily through sheer arrogance, but if it includes any of the problems involving Enkidu and his death...Gil could potentially be left in the same state of mind he was in after losing him, which was halfway insane out of grief and fear.

A little addendum, the UBW anime liked making things flashy and dragged out the fight with Shirou and Gil. In the source material, Gil wasn’t even able to fire a weapon out of the GoB before it got countered and didn’t even hesitate when pulling out EA.
Shirou also straight up killed Gil in the VN meaning there wasn't that thing where Gil looked at a fallen Shirou and praised him.
Also of note there was a similar fight between a Shirou and a different character who had Gil's abilities and they beat Shirou because they could displace space, meaning Shirou couldn't keep the pressure on in close combat and they could easily pull EA out without risk.

Yes if Gil took the fight seriously at the start Shirou would be killed instantly however once UBW is deployed and Shirou is in close combat Gil can't really do anything, the whole point of the fight was Gil wouldn't take Shirou seriously at the beginning and once he did start fighting seriously it would be too late for him.

Good video "The Voice of Saint Quartz" and "StudiOmega" for the video. I really enjoy this content. Also for some reason whenever I watch the "Abigail Williams" portion of I always imagine a "fight "between Gil and Mata Hari Where:
A. Gil does not even recognize Mata Hari as a threat due to her Espionage A++; which At that rank, as long as the user is not outed by her allies, it is impossible to discern any hostility from the user, resulting in Gil completely letting his guard down on her.
B. Mata Hari using her Np and her pheromone Skill and Turning Gil into her puppet. Which would result in Gil annihilating the rest of the servants and master because he is seriously in love with her and wants to prove it to her.
C. The next day after Mata Hari NP wears off and Gil deciding to use
to Sha Naqba Imuru to find out wtf happen to him. Resuling in Gil punishing Mata Hari with swords.... lot and lots...of swords. in the non sexually way of course.
